Welcome aboard "The Nautical House", located downtown historic Galena, IL and just footsteps from unique shopping, delicious eats and endless activities and experiences!
Anchor yourself and enjoy a picturesque front porch view of the Galena River or wine down on the private back deck complete with an outdoor grill. The eclectic and unique, nautical themed cozy interior invites you to spend your days relaxing in your home-away-from-home. The master bedroom and guest room, located on the second floor, offer full-sized sleeping accommodations along with 1.5 bath and laundry room. The both bedroom and living room are equipped Smart TVs connected to WiFi for you to login into your Netflix or other streaming subscriptions.
Enjoy a meal with your group, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen which includes a refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave where you can prepare home-cooked dishes or make your way downtown Main Street to enjoy what Galena has to offer. Cute and cozy home, great location! Walking distance to all the cute shops and restaurants. Went for a girls trip and had the best time. Tip: park in front first to drop off baggage and then find private parking in the back.

Vintage charm

It was a wonderful stay. A short walk to all the restaurants! Great views of galena. Just need a little upgrade in the beds, but other than that it was clean and cozy! We definitely will stay there again!!!!!

Location Location!

This home is old, quirky and charming in a perfect location. Steps (without climbing steps) from downtown shops and restaurants. Wonderful front porch and back deck/yard. Be aware your parking spot is on Bench Street with several steps down to house. We have stayed here several times and intend to come back.

Perfect Spot to Walk the Town

The property has a lot of charm and was just the right size. It was very clean, and with being on Main Street it was only a short walk to the start of the shops (and cool how it’s right next to the gates). The only improvement is with directions for parking. My group got confused as to which Presbyterian church we needed to look out for in order to find the right lot (Maps only showed 1 church that was labeled as such but it wasn’t the right one, and there’s several churches on the same street for many blocks). Even a local who tried helping was confused. Overall though, this was perfect for our stay and will definitely consider booking again!

3 day stay

We were in town for a wedding, this location is great to be able to walk all over down on main street. How was clean, nautical charm. They do disclose no hand soap, although I think they should be able to provide we bought 3 for kitchen and two bathrooms. Great backyard space, the bed was not comfortable in the large room, my husband never complains and even his back was hurting. There are stairs to get in to house, and to go upstairs where both bathrooms located. Overall we enjoyed our time and would definitely book again!

Cute Galena Stay

Our family with two young kids had a great stay. The house is located right in the town so only a couple blocks to restaurants and coffee and shops. The house was very clean and cute, authentic to the town. Parking was so convenient. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at the property.. it had everything we needed for a long weekend in Galena and a perfect location to park and walk to most of the city points of interest.
