Venez séjourner dans notre dernier nickel et profitez de votre séjour.
Nous avons des tubes / kayaks / vélos là-bas pour votre usage.
Nous sommes sur le Direct RIVERFRONT afin que vous puissiez vous installer au parc Todd Island pour flotter en tube et installer au parc public sur Big Hill Road avec les kayaks et flotter vers la cabine ........ Tant de sérénité là-bas !!
Il y a (3) très grandes chambres et a (1) lit king dans la chambre principale et des reines dans les deux autres. La salle bonus en a en fait deux. 8 couchages
Croisière sur les vélos fournis sur Railroad Grade à la pittoresque PETITE VILLE de Todd et visiter le Mercantile historique et le magasin général et prendre à droite et aller à Mill Creek Road et aventurer les collines ..... Certains très raides !!
Un foyer unique avec (3) balançoires pour s'asseoir avec la famille et les amis .... Faites rôtir ces hot-dogs ou saucisses et bien sûr ces Smores que les enfants adorent YUK !!! HAHA ...... ou tentez votre chance au jeu du trou de maïs !!
Beaucoup de jeux pour l'intérieur ces jours de pluie !!

The house was perfect for a birthday weekend away, lots of memories made! Fishing, cooking, playing games, we even went to the Todd Mercantile store to get some local souvenirs. Hoping to rent again in the warm weather so we could enjoy the river a little more with tubing and kayaking.

Wonderful location with beautiful scenery. We had a good time with the kayaks and fishing. We used the fire pit (a set of fire pokers or tongs would be a great addition) and corn hole boards. We really enjoyed ourselves and the cabin is set up with almost everything you could need. Would definitely rent again. Thanks Cheryl for hosting us and for being very communicative.

Christmas getaway

The cabin was beautiful and even decorated for Christmas. It was so clean and would stay here again and again! The fire pit was amazing and the kids loved the bikes!!

It was a joy hosting your family.......In the spring the river bank access is to be completed so guest will be able to access the river with the tubes and kayaks from the lot//////Hopefully you can return and will tell others about us.....

Relaxing and Comfortable Cabin

The cabin, Our Last Nickel, was exactly what our family wanted. It was clean and provided everything needed for our vacation. The location was great and we really enjoyed the outdoors. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Another Great Stay

This was our 2nd stay at "Our Last Nickel." The cabin is very welcoming and provides all your needs. The cabin is very clean and relaxing. It is in a great location and offers many outdoor activities. I would highly suggest this cabin as your next North Carolina mountains stay.

WE LOVE IT 💕 Everything was PERFECT!! Beautiful, Cozy cabin. Had everything to make us feel at home. It was even decorated for Christmas! The location is perfectly situated close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and West Jefferson The owners are thoughtful and caring. We knew if we had questions, we could reach out to them. This was one of our favorite trips this year. I definitely recommend a stay here when visiting the NC Mountains.

Girls Weekend

We had a great time. Peaceful setting. Loved going down to the creek. Cabin was very clean. The full kitchen was great and had everything you needed except the food. Bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Fun Times

We enjoyed our second stay at the cabin. Everything was as advertised or better. The kayaks and tubes were a big hit with everyone, we made a couple of trips down the New River taking in the scenery and enjoying the beautiful weather. Looking forward to staying again in the future. Thanks Cheryl

Perfect Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful time at "Our Last Nickel". It was such a beautiful and clean home. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the tubes and bicycles. The cooler temperatures made for a very pleasant summer stay. We enjoyed time relaxing on the porch and on the swings by the river. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. We will definitely be returning here as soon as we can!

COVID Relief 2020

Cabin was nice and had extras like tubes, kayaks, and bikes. Would recommend a gas grill in lieu of asking for donations for charcoal and finishing the river access for easier entry to river activities. Enjoyed our time at the cabin and would recommend it to other renters.

thanks for reviews......would of done gas but easier to keep charcoal there and igniter than gas cylinders.... The river front was scheduled to be finished the first of April but due to COVID and weather the company c ould not do it BUT...they are there NOW finishing it and will be much better...... great winter weekend

The house was great. Very clean and as described it has everything you need except food. The fire pit was used even in the 12+ inches of snow. There was a great spot two lots down, in the community lot, to go sledding with the kids. Gas fireplace was great and quickly warms the house up. Everyone had a great time and we will certainly look to book again next winter.

Great vacation!

First of all, every email we sent to the property manager was answered super quickly. She was very responsive and very helpful. We were surprised at how new the cabin felt. Everything was very clean and very new. We definitely enjoyed how much space we had in the back yard. The kitchen had everything we needed from plates to pots/pans to silverware. The bedrooms were all very comfortable. Overall we had an amazing time at the cabin and would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Great Getaway

My wife and I had a great few days at the cabin with 4 grandkids. Cheryl was a fantastic host. We had a few questions when we got there and she answered right away. Some of the river tubes were not holding air well and she had new tubes delivered the next day. Could not ask for any better service. The location was lots of fun for the 5, 7, 9 and 11 year old. They had a blast in the river, wading up stream and downstream. They even caught a few fish with a hand line they found and earth worms. We enjoyed a kayak paddle down from Todd as well. Great location if you are looking for a place that is quite and a little out of the way but not to far from town if you need those things you forgot. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway on the New River!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful home on the New River! Cheryl was an excellent host who has thought of everything - there were even Easter baskets waiting for our boys when we arrived! The home is very clean and has everything you need. We really enjoyed using the bikes to ride around, kayaking and fires by the river. We can’t wait to come back!

Adorable home, very clean, comfortable, has everything you need. Fire pit by the river is awesome. We stayed in Oct so there was no "traffic" on the river.

Great Escape!

For the past 5 years we have been renting 3 bedroom properties in this area on the New River. This property outshines them all! The location is perfect for tubing and kayaking on the river. It has a perfect floor plan for giving a family or group of three couples space and privacy. The long covered deck faces the river and has plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the view. There is a great fire pit with swinging benches to enjoy an evening under the stars. We appreciated the comfortable beds, a kitchen supplied with plenty fresh pots, pans, etc... We brought our own bikes and tubes, but they did have very nice bikes of all sizes to use, and plenty of nice tubes to use. We did enjoy using 2 of the 4 kayaks that they offered. We look forward to returning next summer!

We rented many cabins in the VA MTS b4 deciding to build our own and told my husband from the beginning i wanted it furnished so people could come stay on vacation and feel like home.....and not have to bring eveyting with you....when we rented we had to take all the linens/towels/paper goods/ tubes jackets everything except the pots and pans...even had to take our knives because there were none there good for nothing.... REALLY GLAD you enjoyed your stay ****SECRET**** the riverbank is having alot of work done today so it will be much easier to access the river/ steps have been put in and leveled off.....dont wait too long to book for next year ...people already inquiring...hope you took a some cards when you left and spread the word Thanks again and look forward to hosting you again

Beautiful house with a beautiful view

We have rented many houses in this area and this is one we definitely hope to rent again. The house is new and clean with nice furniture. We had 2 families and there was plenty of space. The kids loved the huge yard and playing in the river. The adults loved using the tubes and kayaks to float down the river. We all enjoyed smores at the fire pit and catching lightning bugs. It was a memorable week in one of our favorite places to visit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
