This spacious, modern and sunny home with multiple living areas has been tastefully decorated throughout. Suitable for 1-2 families or small groups of mature couples it is located in the heart of Mangawhai's 'Golden Circle'. Within walking distance of the shops, estuary and golf course what more could you want, maybe a pool, well its got that too! The main house has three bedrooms and a bathroom and then the 'sleepout' has one bedroom, a bathroom and a huge living area.

The lush tropical gardens provide a beautiful background and create a relaxing oasis reminiscent of a tropical island. The hardest decision will be whether to venture out or just to chill out around the pool. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy Magical Mangawhai.

A really great place for our family of 7. Walking distance to the local restaurants, shops and supermarket. Only 1.5hr drive from Auckland, so the drive back home to Auckland was quick. The only thing we noticed was the lounge smelt like a cat lived there. The smell was quite strong, we had to air out the space during the cold weather. Apart from that, we would happily return. The hosts were quick to respond to our queries, and helpful.

Had a lovely stay in this Mangawhai house. It was a nice large space with plenty of room for everyone. It had everything we needed and was a short walk to shops and restaurants. The only downsides were the wifi was terrible so everyone had to use data and the TV in the smaller unit couldnt get a signal. Didnt stop us enjoying our time here though! Would definitely return.

Mangawhai Pool stay

Two separate living area’s definitely helped us during our stay here, everyone could have their own area to chill in, children and adults were well accommodated in this way, would be good for two separate small families as well.

On first appearance as we arrived late at night, it was clean and tidy. As we had a 4yr old with us I found vacuum cleaner in both sleep out and main house to clean up night after we arrived.Vac in sleep out did not work no suction. I used the stand-up Vac from main house this was full not emptied prior to our arrival. When I vacuumed it was full of dust! just from hallway in main house. I emptied it 3 times while vacuuming main house bedrooms and sleep out. Maybe carpets are breaking down! no good for anyone with allergies. We vac every day and appeared to be a lot less dust each time.Washing machine and dryer is in sleep out bathroom, although there was a laundry in the main house with no washing machine and dryer. This made is difficult for 6 adults to gain access to laundry without invading on other family members privacy.Oven trays and fry pans were filthy we had to scrub them there was old grease and build up on them. Limited parking if travelling with more than 2 vehicles. We were under the assumption from the description is was quiet and secluded. However, the sleep out has traffic noise starting from 4am as it's on a main road. On the positive, spacious, great outdoor space for entertaining, large deck open flow.BBQ, small pool, fire pit, and good feel,Could benefit from reverse cycle heat pumps/ AC would be more cost effective for owner and more efficient. Less of fire hazard. With all the negatives which could be easily rectified 7/10

Hi Alison, thanks for the feedback, sorry to hear you felt you needed to use the vacuum yourselves. Correct the one in the sleepout has been out of order, apologies it will be removed. The one in the main house will be emptied more regularly, only guests use these so we are not always aware of the issues, cleaners have their own vacs. That is correct it is only one laundry set up and that is in the sleepout bathroom. Correct we state parking is limited for more vehicles you must park road side. Thanks for cleaning the old build up on the trays, we will get a product to assist people with this when they are washing up. For guests and cleaners. All valid points, though we are not sure on the quiet secluded point sorry, feel free to let us know where that is so we can check it out? On the map it does show it is on a main road. Hidden oasis

Fantastic property for our family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids) the sleepout is much bigger than the photos give credit. Perfect for a second lounge or parents retreat - pool was great to have as well.

Peaceful retreat

An Amazing property where you can gather as a family in 1 side and also go and have a quiet moment if needed in the other part but still see what is happening across the pool in other area.

Extended family getaway

Great house & very comfortable. Plenty of room & living space. Would rebook if we’re to go back to Mangawhai Heads. Very close to the village. The pool is small but was fine for cooling off, would be great for littlies. Property managers were lovely to deal with and went out of their way to help me when we left something behind after checkout.

Love this place caters to your needs I’d imagine this spot to be hard to book over summer. Just because it has everything you need there. Oh in the first driveway the decking there is abit slippery apart from that awesome spot. Cheers.
