BIG TIMBER RIVER CABINES "le nid du faucon"

Le Hawk's Nest est une cabane en rondins artisanale de construction rĂ©cente et authentique, dotĂ©e de tous les Ă©quipements modernes. Il se trouve sur une falaise surplombant la riviĂšre Ohio et serein, les terres agricoles du Kentucky. SituĂ© Ă  cinq minutes de la I-64 dans le comtĂ© de Crawford, Indiana, la cabine est facile Ă  atteindre. Le site ressemble Ă  un parc et, mĂȘme s’il n’est pas totalement isolĂ©, les clients bĂ©nĂ©ficient d’une grande intimitĂ©. La cabine contient une salle de bain complĂšte et cuisine. Il a Ă©galement la chaleur / AC, ainsi que la tĂ©lĂ©vision, foyer, barbecue au gaz extĂ©rieur et bain Ă  remous privĂ© (supplĂ©ment de 25 $). My partner and I spent our anniversary weekend here for the second year in a row. Once again our host Karen was nothing short of exceptional. This darling cabin had everything we needed- towels, toiletries, cookware, even ice cubes. The view from the comfortable reclining loveseat is breathtaking. We enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub and watching the boats on the Ohio. The price point was a steal for this private getaway and we were able to dine at the Overlook restaurant less than five minutes away.

was actually like a real cabin very nice and clean. not like some, city small house that some call cabins....Liked being on the river as a view to see...Host was really nice and welcoming she gave my lady and i a rundown of the cabin and how it became to be. We had a nice relaxing valentines day/ her birthday weeekend. Look forward to another weekend soon...Cabin life is the relaxing life....

Beautiful Authentic Log Cabin with a view!

My sister and I came for a Kayak trip and picked the Hawk’s Nest as our home for the weekend! It was absolutely breathtaking! Karen is a great host and provided everything you need to enjoy your stay! Enjoyed breakfasts on the large deck with great chairs, overlooking the Ohio River and beautiful landscape! The hot tub was a nightly must! Excellent experience and would definitely go back!! Fall would be awesome!!

The most charming getaway- the perfect home away from home.

It's absolutely beautiful without being too much. Everything has a place. The light fixtures are gorgeous. The art is very tasteful and pays homage to the local natural beauty. The fireplace heater kept the entire cabin warm and cozy, along with the separate heater in the bathroom that also provides some extra warmth. We especially liked the reclining loveseat that faces the TV and windows. The water in both the bathroom and kitchen warmed up quickly and the pressure was strong. Our host thought of literally everything. The kitchen set up is truly all inclusive - cookware, dinnerware, cooking utensils, paper towels, dish soap, etc. The microwave/sove set up was convenient and the simple yet practical layout of the kitchen made a very pleasant cooking experience. Two refrigerators to provide extra space ; there's also a dishwasher with detergent pods. The bathroom included extra towels, dental floss, disposable cups, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer. The host left a binder of information about nearby restaurants/destinations. This is great as a romantic get away for couples but would be just as ideal for a family with children. The highlights of this stay were getting to see so many stars,soaking in the hot tub, reclining in the love seat and watching the barges sail along the Ohio River. Our host was super helpful and informative and made sure to give us plenty of space and peace while only being a text away if necessary.

A hidden gem

The property is amazing, and is an easy drive to all of the local caves that we visited on our stay. The view is just amazing, especially if you are looking for peace and tranquility. While it is not completely secluded, it give the feel of a secluded cabin in the woods with modern amenities, and that was the feel i was looking for. Was also amazing to hear the story of how the cabins came to be. If I am ever back in the area this is where I will be wanting to stay again. Thank you Karen for the amazing experience.

Calm River View Cabin

Great little getaway cabin for 2! Exactly as described. We didn’t use the outdoor hot tub, but it was available for use. The view of the river was perfect from the cabin, as one could see the river bend downstream. Very relaxing.

Hawks neat

We were on a baby moon before our baby comes in March. We just wanted a quiet get away in a cozy cabin. And we got just that. Karen had clearly put in a lot of hard work to make our stay very nice. Very welcoming and informative. She had a booklet of everything you’d need to know that’s is around the area. With lots of detail. Very clean and very nice cabin! We spoke to the owners of the general store right down the road and we thought it was very awesome her husband built these cabins! They’re so nice! We would absolutely recommend this cabin!!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The cabin was so perfect for just the two of us. The views were amazing, we saw bald eagles, bats, a pileated woodpecker, and a tiny baby deer, all from the back deck. If you’re looking for something to do, there are a few caves in the area so we chose to do the 2 hour tour of Wyandotte Cave and it was really cool. The hosts do live on the property, but they were very discreet and totally kept to themselves. All in all it was a really great little weekend trip. Highly recommend!

Weekend getaway

Seat back and relax. The cabin is grate and has everything you need and super clean loved the hot tub The view of the Ohio River was amazing seating on the porch and watching the barges go up and down the river was great Karen the host was very nice and very friendly. If you are looking for a place to relax we would recommend the Hawk- nest.

Awesome Getaway

Hawk's Nest was the perfect spot for a getaway in the country. The cabin was neat and tidy and well equipped. The view was stunning, it was great to watch the birds swooping below the balcony. The owner was close by and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Nice Cabin on Ohio River

We had a nice, relaxing stay at this cabin for New Years Eve. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The views were amazing, especially while sitting in the hot tub! The owner Karen was great to communicate with. We would highly recommend and will definitely consider staying again!

Great Views and Beautiful Cabin!

This was a great getaway for our 10 year anniversary. Not as secluded as we would typically select, but you never knew anyone was nearby. The views were incredible! Watching the barges go by during the day was a neat thing to watch. Karen was so responsive and very kind during the check in process. We will definitely be returning.
