Cette maison de deux chambres et deux salles de bain complètes est située dans une rue sans issue calme et un canal vraiment paisible (près de la fin) dans la "section voilier" des îles Punta Gorda. À seulement dix minutes en bateau de la rivière de la Paix qui mène à Charlotte Bay. À seulement dix minutes en voiture du village des pêcheurs et du centre-ville de Punta Gorda.
Entièrement meublé et équipé.
Plan d'étage ouvert avec des sièges dans le salon et la salle familiale adjacente.
Les appareils de cuisine incluent: four, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, cafetières. Salle à manger pouvant accueillir 4-6 est une cuisine adjacente.
La chambre principale a un lit king-size et une salle de bain privée (complète).
La deuxième chambre a un lit queen-size et une salle de bain adjacente (complète).
La buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse est adjacente à la salle à manger.
La salle familiale et la salle à manger ont toutes deux des portes coulissantes menant à la grande "salle Floride".
Un quai arrière de 15 'avec électricité et eau est inclus dans le loyer et peut accueillir un bateau jusqu'à 35' alors apportez le vôtre. Great home. Close to Fisherman’s Village, downtown activities and Ponce DeLeon Park.

David the owner was very accommodating and responsive to all our questions. He made his home feel like it was our own. Very nice, clean and all we needed was at our fingertips. I would definitely recommend his home to anyone who is looking to stay in the Punta Gorda area.

We DID NOT love ❤️ our stay. Good location. Property poorly maintained

We won’t be using home away/vrbo again. The web pics look good but most properties we have used have not been maintained well. Dave’s place is a good example. The place was dirty and the owner or previous visitor clutter didn’t allow handy space for new visitor groceries, clothes. Kitchen cupboards full of several sets of dishes, used grocery bags, left over jars of food, spices. Closets filled with an oversupply of extra pillows, blankets, and about 5 air mattresses Shower tracks, patio door slider tracks held dirt which made opening doors very difficult. Dirty floor moldings and bath calking. Kitchen sink leaked into bucket beneath (we couldn’t accommodate the plumbers schedule). Dishwasher was not functional (waiting for replacement part?) The garbage disposer unit is gone (the on/off switch plated over) The carpet was over used in spots and needed stretching. The MBR toilet seat bumpers were missing (smashed) Insufficient furniture in tv area so that only two could watch without pulling in more chairs. Owner doesn’t subscribe to HDTV Floor lamp dysfunctional with one melted shade(100 watt bulb in 50 socket) Leveler blinds had missing lengths and the broken pins didn’t hold the others. The windows on the porch addition could not be opened with normal strength, so porch not usable. A printer and a scanner were visible but non functional. The landscaping was minimally maintained. Dead plantings not removed and live plants untrimmed.

According to HomeAway/VRBO records, this couple booked twice through the service. Apparently, she and her husband weren’t happy with either property. Early in their stay, the couple brought to my attention a cleaning issue and I responded by sending a highly recommended cleaning woman to address it. Following that visit, Sue texted me: “Suzanna impressed us. She does an excellent job”. The kitchen faucet and a part in the dishwasher have been replaced. Repairs are always made as quickly as possible while accommodating the schedules of my guests. The printer and scanner were not advertised in the listing. Also, the home does not have a garbage disposal, so it was not included in the listing or rental agreement. The city provides trash/garbage pickup twice a week. Weather stripping has recently been replaced on the windows in the sun porch. No previous guests have noted any difficulty opening the windows. If the couple expressed difficulty opening the windows, I would have been happy to send someone over to show them how to operate them. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and other appliances to offer guests the same ability to prepare foods as they would have at their own home. The cleaning person cleans the refrigerator after each guest’s departure. Many other previous guests have appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, even with some spices available to them, to begin their stay. Both bedrooms have a sizable closet and bureau that are completely empty, with the exception of three air mattresses (mentioned in the property description), extra pillows, blankets, and an extra set of sheets (critical for timely changeover by housecleaning). Certainly once a guest arrives, they are welcome to move the air mattresses to another location in the home if they feel they do not have enough room in either closet. The furniture in front of the television is shown in the photograph “Family Area with TV”. Additional chairs are located nearby as shown in the other photographs. The lawn is maintained year round with mowing, weed and insect control. Major trimmings are completed twice annually. The damaged floor lamp and toilet seat will be replaced. Many couples, (families, and pairs of couples) appreciate the extra space, quite location, kitchen, and private bathrooms that HomeAway/VRBO homes provide; however, it is not for everyone. Some people prefer the consistency only a hotel can provide.

Punta Gorda Getaway

Quiet, peaceful, but near places to shop, dine, walk. Owner was very easy to communicate with via phone or text. The Floridian room overlooking canal was nice to sit in, and spacious too. Plenty of room in home, for people if you have a good size group. Will go back!

Good value in nice neighborhood

Punta Gorda is a great town. House looks a bit dated but clean, bug-free and has all the necessities. Dave was courteous and responsive to questions. Minor complaint: sheets in master bedroom didn’t fit mattress correctly. Apart from that everything worked as it should. Would stay here again.

Perfect For Our "extra" Family At The Holidays

A very nice 2 bedroom, 2bath home that worked out perfectly for our overflow of family. Close to our home, and also close to all the amenities of Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. The owner was very quick to respond to our text-message inquiries. The kitchen has been nicely remodeled and is well-equipped. The split bedroom floor plan is nice for guest privacy.

Will Definitely Stay Here Again

My wife and I originally rented this house for the second week of January but due to an illness in the family we had to cancel. We had not taken out the optional trip cancellation insurance but when I contacted the owner, he said that we could trade that week for his next open week (the first week of April) at no additional cost. He did not have to do that but we were sure glad he did. When we arrived in April the house was as described in the VRBO listing. The house is well maintained, very spacious and could easily accommodate up to four people (the maximum allowed by the owner). I brought down my 17' trimaran sailboat and the boat dock behind the house easily accommodated it. There are no bridges to go under to get to the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor and there were sailboats in the canal up to about 60 feet in length so water depth should not be a problem for any boat that could be trailered. It takes less than 10 minutes to motor out to open water for sailing so its location was very conducive for daily sails. I was able to store the trailer for the trimaran in the garage saving me storage charges as the Punta Gorda Isles community does not allow overnight outdoor storage of trailers and RVs. The house comes fully equipped with bedding, towels/washcloths, dishes, and everything else needed for an enjoyable stay. The air conditioning, appliances, high speed internet and cable TV worked flawlessly. The owner also provides a washer and dryer in the garage as well as a gas grill although we did not use the grill. There is no pool at the house but you can use Punta Gorda's large heated outdoor pool that is open year round for a cost of $3 per person. The kitchen is well equipped, the only thing I had to bring was a blender. The only problem we had was the toilet in the guest bathroom would sometimes clog up requiring the use of the nearby plunger to unclog it. I notified the owner of this and it has probably been fixed by now as he appears to stay on top of maintenance needs. The neighborhood is very quiet and well maintained. Punta Gorda is a very bike friendly town with wide sidewalks and multiple bike trails so you don't have to ride in the streets. If you didn't bring your own bike you can get free loaner bikes from several businesses in Punta Gorda. The owner promptly refunded our security deposit after our stay. My wife and I had a wonderful time here and will definitely rent this house again on a future visit to Punta Gorda.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Large living area and lanai. WiFi, many cable stations. 1960’s vintage look in bathrooms. House very clean and “bug” free, but rug and and master shower could use some updating. Owner readily answered questions when contacted. Owner was flexible and accommodating.

love this area

Dave was very helpful with everything, upgrade tv service etc. Great neighborhood, felt very safe. Great florida room which could be opened up on warm days and closed off on cooler days. Boat dock was perfect for our 22 ft. flats boat and the fishing was excellant. Plenty to do in the area,boating, dining, golfing, shopping, fishing, and the town has something going every weekend. Nice home in quiet neighborhood.

We stayed in this home the month of January. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and is well maintained. The location is close to parks, restaurants, and fisherman's village. We really appreciated the high speed internet, cable tv and enjoyed having fresh bananas out our door. The owner is very helpful and prompt in replying to any questions. We would recommend this home to stay in.

Perfect family stay in convenient Punta Gorda

We found this property to be very comfortable for a family of four. It was spacious, the beds were comfortable, with a large living room that could have accommodated an extra guest or two, if needed. The kitchen was well equipped, the internet was a fast connection and we did not lack for any amenities. If you are looking for a place close to a beach, or a pool to lay out, then this may not be your ideal spot. We used it as a central base to drive around and explore the nearby cities; for that it was perfect. You will need wheels as it is not close to any public transport. Punta Gorda has a few decent restaurants and a nice Harbor Walk.
