Stayed 2 nights in the 1851cabin and it is a very clean pretty cabin. Kerri the host is on top of it. The place is very relaxed and refreshing. Would highly recommend for a quite getaway.

Loved the cabin

Family loved our stay at the ranch. Kids had room to play and explore and meet some friendly animals. Really enjoyed relaxing on the back porch.

Country setting

I enjoyed the scenery and the old fashion home and especially the fireplace. I will recommend to friends and family and im already looking forward to staying there again.

Amazing and very quaint!

The property is very well kept, the cabin is so cozy! Conveniently located between many wineries. The absolute most peaceful sleep you'll ever get. Amazing views and comfort!

Beautiful ranch with plenty of rolling hills and wildlife. The cabin was cozy and the temperature dropped on our last night so we were able to start a fire in the fireplace which added to the ambiance of our anniversary getaway. It's located just a short drive from Fredericksburg. My only suggestion would be a new mattress for the full size bed downstairs because it was a bit uncomfortable for us but we slept better on the queen size bed upstairs. We used the canoe to paddle around the pond and watched the ducks swim around. We liked sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch and looking out over the hills and valleys. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy our vacation. The owner is very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend for couples.

Fabulous location and a great lodge. Kerri so easy to deal with and helpful. We had the most calm and tranquil few days but also so easy to get to Frederiksburg, a very cool town with awesome food options. Thanks Kerri, really hope to be back some day

Couldn't have picked a better place. From the scenery to the cabin we stayed in was perfect. The only problem is my envy of Kerri and her ranch!! Thanks again for being so welcoming.

Unique home, rustic. About 13 miles or so from Fredericksburg, so a little travel. If you want peace and quiet this home is for you!

A-Mazing!!!

The 1851 Cabin was beyond my expectations! It was a great step back in time in the absolute best way. Every night I fell asleep thinking about how it would be to live in that time period.

True Texas Experience

This cozy little cabin in the hill country of Texas was just what we needed for rest and rejuvenation. The stars! The quiet! The peaceful surroundings! The gentle little goats to brush and pet! All wonderful! And, all within driving distance of phenomenon wineries and great cowboy boots!

Rustic & Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay in this historic cabin. It was like stepping back in time but with all the modern conveniences. Great front porch for spending time with family. The fireplace was an added bonus as well as the array of livestock to pet and love on. The mattress was a little firm for my liking but overall it was a great place to stay. There is a great winery a couple miles south. I’d definitely recommended this cabin if you are looking for peace & quiet in a central location.

Great Escape

We went here for an anniversary weekend. It was a beautiful ranch and we really enjoyed not having tv or internet. The property is beautiful and in the mornings I saw deer about 30-50 yards from the house. The only negative of the whole trip was that I didn’t have one more day on this vacation. I went fishing while my wife read her books for a couple of hours each day. Overall lots of fun and would recommend for people looking to unplug and enjoy the beautiful scenery and fun of Fredericksburg.

Cozy Romantic Winter Getaway

I 100% would return to this amazing property. The check-in/check-out process was smooth and easy. Communication with the host was top notch. They are so sweet and caring. We were there during the most recent freeze and their concern for our warmth and comfort/ safety in the cold was heartwarming. We had everything we needed throughout our stay from toiletries, to kitchen needs, to blankets and puzzles and books. We slept in the loft bed because the mattress was more comfortable and the sheets and blankets were soft and snuggly. I slept better than I have in a long time. The cabin itself and the property were soul healing and magical. I was in the need for a quiet getaway after an emotional holidays and this cabin offered us the privacy and solice I was needing, well except from the sweet nosey horses that came to check on us as we were grilling our dinner and were there in the morning/afternoon to greet us a good day. There's always something healing about the way a horse can look into your soul. The stars were magnificent. Bring firewood, the wood burning fireplace was the icing on the cake. The terrain is a bit rocky so this may not be the place for people who struggle with stairs or uneven gravel. But other than that, there is no reason why you should not book this cabin or any other the ones on this property. If its available, just book it, you wont be disappointed.

I love it , and it looks just like the pictures so I was happy about that no, it was very clean and so cozy and the manager was really great at getting back to you about questions or concerns, will definitely be coming back.
