Villa Sanibel est un petit complexe calme de 20 unités situé sur West Gulf Drive. You hit the nail on the aren't many units that offer this type of beach access! You are just 6 steps from toes-in-the-sand status at Villa Sanibel 1A! If you are at all familiar with Sanibel you will recognized the uniqueness of this location. As you head out of your condo you simply need to stop at the storage locker on your lanai to pick up whatever equiment you need for the perfect day at the beach. We hope your travel plans bring you back to Sanibel & Sanibel Holiday in 2021!

The Gulf is so nice. Did some shelling and spent a lot of time on the Beach. Dined out several times, did some shopping. In all we have a great time.

This stretch of beach is not too close to the public access, so we really felt like we had our own private beach! The property is well-maintained and clean, with numerous amenities. The management staff was helpful with suggestions for activities and the owner was always quick to reply to my inquiries via email. We had a great vacation at Villa Sanibel!

The cushions are worn out and very uncomfortable. For the price you pay for this condo, you should be able to sit down in the evening and be comfortable.

Easy Access to the Beach!!

We could see the sunrise and sunset from our condo. Found many unique shells and saw many different wildlife that inhabit the island...gopher tortoise, osprey, dolphins, and fish that were caught by neighbors. The beds were very comfortable. The linen package was the best we have ever had. Nice sheets and thick towels with plenty to use! Condo was well equipped for cooking . . . but also close to many good restaurants, so why cook! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our visit to Villa Sanibel 1A was our third. We enjoy unit 1A very much. Wonderful view everyday. We we're very happy that the red tide cleared up for our visit. Unfortunately we had to deal with construction noise on two neighboring unit, which distrubed our week of peace and quiet. Sunday as early as 7 am. Our parking place was occupied by construction vechicles each day. We made the best of it. It would have been nice to be offered a discount for our inconvenience.

Right on the sand!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great week on Sanibel Island. We appreciate the mask mandates in place and for most part, people were wearing masks in public places. We ate out twice at restaurants with outdoor seating and mainly got take away meals. Condo in perfect location for food, groceries, biking and awesome sunsets but could use a little tlc and cleaning. Main tv volume was whacky and during pandemic, people spending lots of time watching tv so that could be addressed easily with a upgraded tv. Kitchen has nice appliances but utensils also need upgrading. Overall, would definitely love to stay here again but would bring more supplies from home! Note: linens are minimal so was happy I brought a few blankets and pillows. Brought own beach chairs but looked like they were well stocked on those.

Beautiful Beach but Dissatisfied with Condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd time staying in Villa Sanibel but the first time staying in this unit. This unit needs some work and updates. The kitchen has a lot of blemishes and doesn’t have the adequate cooking supplies. The sink in the kitchen had a constant drip under the cabinet. The washer machine had mold growing on the rubber inside lip. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We are so thankful we brought our pillows from home. The tv in the master bedroom is on a small side table and we were so afraid it was going to fall on top of our son. Overall we had a great week being able to just walk out onto the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Villa Sanibel and Sanibel Holiday. Never have had a bad experience. When provided with constructive feedback we feel heard. We notice that the little things we mentioned after last year’s vacation were updated for this stay. Had a couple of bugs to wrangle. A tiny lizard was discovered hiding out in the bathroom. I did manage to capture and release outside. We did not love this part of the vacation but understand that these things happen. If it had been a bigger lizard or scorpion I would have called for backup. Great accommodations. This time we noticed that the walls (master bath), slatted closet door for water heater, and vents could use a good vacuum or dusting. Still think a mattress topper for master bed would be great. Bed is hard and causes me back issues. I’ve been told the twin mattress is very comfortable.

Water was wonderful. Sunsets awesome. The only negative was the guest bedroom was without a tv for the entire week. Jack is super to work with. We will see you next June.

This is not truly a review but things we found that need correction. The starter kit is very poor quality. Nothing lathered. The bathroom soap was the size of a quarter also didnt lather😭 had to go right to Baileys before we could do dishes . With the prices of all the units increasing this was very disappointing. Also a microwave was replaced but instead of the space saver kind , the new one sits on the counter top taking up what little food prep space there is. However the unit location cant be beat

Wonderful!!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: An amazing getaway just steps from the beach! We have stayed at beaches all over the world and this one is by far the closest to the water. We poured a cup of coffee in the morning and just walked a few steps to drink it with ocean water on our feet. Villa is very comfortable, basically 2 master suites since both have bathrooms and can be closed off from each other and the main living area. It was very quiet, early risers never heard by those still sleeping. Beach is loaded with shells which was great fun but bring along water shoes if you have tender soles. Sanibel Holiday was also great, one of the best rental companies we have used. They were so friendly, prompt and accommodating. We go to Sanibel every year and this is our first time using them but will do so every time in the future. We will be back for sure!!!

Only issue was no hot water- called management company and they promptly sent out a plumber. It was a flipped switch. Remedied in 5 mins. No-see-ums are ferocious after Irma. Would love to see that special screen material used on lower half of screens-limited our evenings outdoors.
