The place smelled of mildew and cat pee. It’s much smaller than it appears and the window in the photo doesn’t go to the outside but to a laundry room. (This was not disclosed in description) So there are no windows. Only a small skylight in the bedroom. They were doing laundry loudly when we arrived and were trying to nap after a long drive. No heating other than 2 small space heaters and it was freezing cold outside. The bed was very uncomfortable. We chose to leave within a few hours and stayed in a hotel. I contacted the host and shared the issues and asked for a partial refund. I have never been dissatisfied with any VRBO and you can see I’ve given and received good reviews.

Thank you to our host!We had a wonderful trip that felt welcoming, safe, and warm (both literally—because of the heaters and comfy blankets—and figuratively). Great location and very clean. And don’t get me started on how comfortable the bed is! It has everything we needed, right down to the paper towels.Pros:- mini fridge and microwave- coffee/coffee maker and coffee cups- television (though wifi slow at times)- location- quiet- clean- up-to-date- comfortable bed- quick replies/response from the host- and, my favorite, the skylight windows that open with a remote control to let in fresh airCons:- small space (but has everything even a small closet)- street parking

Cute and cozy

The use of space at this property is perfectly used to give what we needed for a trip visiting friends! A cozy bed for rest and a roomy bathroom for freshening up that felt homey! The skylights were actually very nice and gave us the opportunity to wake up with soft sunlight as the weather was great during our stay. Overall a great stay for a couple and would definitely recommend!

Nice little getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for one night to enjoy the Santa Cruz area. It was a nice location, easy to access and a comfortable stay. It is a small space, so we would not stay here for an extended stay, but for our short trip it was perfect for us!

Comfortable, great stay

The property was clean and cozy, everything was stocked up for us, the neighborhood was quiet and safe, check-in and check-out were easy, the listing is true to what you get. It was perfect for us for a couple nights. When we go to Santa Cruz again we will definitely be coming back. This is a great property!

Small, clean room in Live Oak area, Santa Cruz

Our stay here was great. Ann was prompt in her replies as well as friendly & professional. The location is close to Hwy 1 but far enough away not to have freeway noise. It was a bit challenging to find the right entrance even when following the directions. The room & space is small but utilized well, clean, functional, comfortable, updated, & quiet. The shower needs to be allotted more pressure as it was challenging & took longer to shower with the low flow. I asked for a later checkout time & was allowed to check out by noon instead of 10 am. There is no coffee maker, although there is space for one. I suggested putting in a Keurig. I would definitely stay there again. All in all, a positive stay!

This is fine for a night or two stay, too small for a week for the 2 of us. We did not scrutinize the listing as well as we should have - the listing was very accurate.As others mentioned, the toilet isn't ADA.

Great place to lay your head at night

My parents enjoyed their stay and slept comfortably with the two of them. 10 minutes away from the Capitola Village and sightseeing. Would book again in the future.
