Overall, the stay was great. We had some weather related incidents happen, none of which was the host's fault. The pipes were frozen when we arrived. The host immediately called me when I messaged him. He contacted a plumber who was supposed to come and remedy the issue. However, there was some confusion between the plumber and the host about getting inside and the plumber never got inside to do any work. Thankfully, that evening after stocking up on jugs of water to be able to use the toilets, we heard one of the toilet tanks start to fill. The pipes thawed on their own. On our second day, the power went out from about 5am to noon, and the internet was down the whole day. The wifi was pretty spotty the entire stay. However, all of these things can happen when staying at a cabin in the woods. We made the best of our stay and enjoyed the beautiful snowy view of the lake from the house and from the hot tub. It was everything we were looking for during a little winter getaway. We would definitely stay here again, and hopefully we will next winter!

Huge home with amazing lakefront view. The large deck and hot tub was wonderful with the chilly weather we had. The proximity and private dock made easy access to the water.

The house is very nice and the location is great. We brought our small fishing boat and was able to dock it there at the house. The dock is very nice. We have no complaints really but will point out that something is going on with the lights. A lot of them are flickering and although there are many lamps in the home, the place still seems dark. The kitchen is in the basement, which is a little different for us but all in all the place was very nice and was very clean which is a big thing for us.

Very comfortable. All amenities as stated. We enjoyed access to the lake, swimming, relaxing. There were plenty of things to do nearby. Especially enjoyed hiking at Shadow Falls. We would absolutely stay again!

Relaxing Stay

We had a lovely stay. The house was very clean, and as described in the listing. We enjoyed being right on the water and being close to so many great hiking trails.

Nice, Lakeside property

Nice , 4 bedroom house right on the lake. Washer/dryer was good. Fireplace was nice on cold days. Full kitchen was supplied with all needed utensils. Beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked. Different floor levels were a little cumbersome to get used to. Overall a nice, comfortable stay!

Right on the lake, comfortable and relatively clean.

We stayed at this property during Labor day week-end. The house was as it looked on the pictures, except that two of the 4 bedrooms do not have windows, which I don't think comply with fire safety laws. We asked the kids to keep their door open at night since it was their only escape way in case of fire. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. The house was a bit dated but homey. It looked clean at first glance, but there was lots of dust under the furniture and sofas (as often seen in vacation rentals). We liked the hot-tub (clean) and the immediate access to the lake. Overall, we had a good experience and would return.

Relaxing

We had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend. The house was perfect for our family. Beautiful view, close to stores and restaurants and we really enjoyed the hot tub.

Great place to stay in Deep Creek

A great location on Deep Creek with a great outdoor space and easy access to the dock. Check in was easy, the place comfortably fit our group and there is plenty of parking.

Peaceful Family Friendly Cottage

Wispering Pines was a quaint and peaceful place to stay. While the walk down to the docks contained a lot of stairs, the lakefront location was perfect for our family’s needs. Kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and the hot tub. Adults enjoyed the separate sitting rooms and plentiful spaces for relaxation. Secondary rooms were small and became hot with doors closed but they did the trick. We enjoyed the books and games provided. Overall a very nice house!

Hope you enjoy it as well. This is a great place to "hide away" and to do business. Also, you can find Shawn's favorite past-time on Etsy. We love to travel the world for business and pleasure.
