We had a wonderful time. The pictures are exactly what the house looks like. We were 17 adult girls. Not sure how you fit 20 adults. Unless you are doubling up in the full size bunk beds that have 4 in a room. One thing I will say there were no cleaning products at all. Make sure you grab extra, paper products and dish washer pods, and something to clean the counters with. All the grocery stores are very close by. The beach is accross the street. This house is beautiful and was perfect for my daughter’s bachelorette. So much fun!!!

Great Location

Perfect location, right across from the beach. Plenty of room, beds were nice. We had some trouble with the heat in the pool, but they responded quickly.

Great Location and open floor plan!

Our stay was overall very good! The house had ample room for our group of 20 people (10 adults and 10 kids). The pool was perfect and had a little spa that was great for the kids. Each bedroom had a private bathroom and the kitchen and living areas had a wide open floor plan. It was a quick walk to the public white sand beach! The hosts communicated very well and the on-site manager stopped by to address some of our minor concerns (bath tub clogging, no hot water in one bathroom, damaged kitchen drawers, ice maker with no ice and the foos ball table not working properly). Would stay again for the location and view of the ocean!

Nice House could use some Beach Chairs and Beach Towels.

The house was very nice, location was great. We paid over $15,000 for a week's stay. Felt like there should have been some beach chairs, maybe an umbrella, beach towels a float or two for the pool. The pool did not skim well so it was always dirty. The refrigerator in the kitchen did not keep up, told management twice, they never sent anyone. Little things like a working blender, there were 3 bases, only one container and that did not have the cap on the top. We had to put our hand over the top to use it. Again, great place, just felt like for that price it could have had nicer kitchen supplies and the necessities for the beach, cannot pack beach chairs on the plane.

Great Family Vacation!

This was an excellent beach home in the perfect location. Just across the street from the beach with about a 3 minute walk to the sand and 5 minutes to the Crab Trap restaurant. House was clean and furnished nicely. Layout was nice too with bedrooms on all 3 floors. Nice pool, covered patios and balconies and a pretty view of the lake. While there, the 3rd floor AC went out. Called management after 10pm to report it and they were incredibly helpful. They had an AC guy there in half an hour. Unit couldn't be fixed that night but management was very accommodating, offering to allow our guests to stay at a nearby, brand new 3 bedroom house. They had an AC repair guy there early the next morning who had the unit replaced before we returned from the beach that afternoon. Even with the AC problem, this was the best vacation and we will definitely choose this home on our future visits.

Magaritaville Stay

The on-line appearances masked an interior in need of refreshing. There were broken glasses in Kitchen cabinet. There was little guidance/instruction on how to maneuver in the property. We looked for instruction on trash pick-up (finally called to get guidance) and hot tub (never able to use it). Internet was very weak outside great room/kitchen area. Location was a "5," lodging a "3." (This is our 3rd rather expensive VRBO--one in Hawaii, the other in La Mesa, Cal., and most expensive of the three--and it's the lowest rating we've given.) Although there were supposed to be "amenity wrist bands" there were none that we found.

Beautiful House

We came for spring break March 2021 with 16 people (8 adults & 8 teens). The house was perfect for that many people. The location was a close walk to the public beach. We have a couple complaints; There was no mention of an extra charge to heat the pool & hot tub during your stay. We contacted the property managers the day after we got there and couldn't figure out why the hot tub was cold. We were told there was going to be an additional cost to heat them & it only heats to 10 degrees above the outside air temp. They also said it takes 24-48 hours to heat to that full temp which would have been over1/2 way through our trip so we didn't end up using either of them unfortunately. The other is the check out time of 9a, that is too early for a vacation check out.

Very spacious house for a large family...modern..close to beach...

I brought my family of nine adults and ten grandchildren to this house at the last minute when we had to cancel our Longboat Key beach plans due to red tide...my daughter lives in Tally and this was close to them although a long drive for us....This house is really pretty....spacious...modern....close to the beach and good restaurant....We had plenty of beds for everyone...including a pack and play for the infant..not the crib pictured in the photo..we later found the crib in the garage...Only cons were no tv in one of the masters on the main floor , which is inconvenient when you have this many people wanting their own rooms and privacy...all our other bedrooms had tvs, even the kid bunk room....And the kitchen is really sparse as to things I usually expect when i rent an upscale property...no condoments, spices, coffee filters, sponges, cleansers, only one dish towel, which is pretty crazy when cooking three meals a day for 20 people...one of my kids brought four of theirs thank goodness...plenty of bath towels but only one hand towel in each bathroom....usually when i rent a house there is plenty of laundry pods dryer sheets etc left in the laundry room...we had to bring all of this...I had to buy a large cutting board , two oven mits, corkscrew...I almost bought a pancake griddle but didn't...It's hard to make pancakes in a fry pan..I bought foil, saran wrap, ziplocs, hand pump soap,salt and pepper, cooking oil,coffee filters, and left them hoping they leave them for the next people....the kitchen sink leaks...there was no turntable platter in the microwave....We had a maintenance person bring one which was the wrong size..but we managed...We had a great time..the pool and hot tub were great....had to figure out the heater....I'd suggest a note on how to maybe...It was noted in the description that we had to provide paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, etc..but I think a house this expensive should really provide all these things..I would recommend this house to big families...but stairs are tile and wood and there are three sets, one being a metal spiral , so you really have to watch toddlers...I would rent this house again knowing what I have to bring...

Great Location and Beautiful Property

It is a beautiful property that fits 5 families easily and is in a great location. The beach is a 2 min walk across the road. The property is very well designed with balconies in each floor. It has several sit outs and big tables for family gatherings and has a pool in the back yard. It needs some renovation which the property manager said is scheduled for Jan 2022. We rented this property for a reunion of friends and we had a great time.

Great experience the only con is that the heated pool that we paid for could have been hotter. Management was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning another stay soon with this company.

the property was exceptional! The neighborhood was safe and nice but lacked small shops hat we did not have to drive to for incidentals. The beach access was public and very crowded but beautiful. We will use VRBO again but probably not in Destin

Amazing house

This house was perfect for a large group! I did get the pool heated and that was a good decision for cool days. The location couldn't have been better. And I loved the fact that Southern Vacations would send me a text every once in a while to see if every thing was OK. We have friends that have already booked this house after seeing our pics and hearing about our vacation

The hot tub would not heat. The small fridge/ kitchenette on the third floor was unusable. It smelled terrible. We did not open it the entire trip. Everything else was perfect!!!!

Very nice with a few issues.

The house was very clean but the pool was always dirty. The outdoor shower was hard to use. The tv didn’t work in the bunk room. It would have been nice to have a canopy or umbrella for the beach.

Where do I begin. The pros of this rental is the location and the size. We had plenty of room for everyone who came with us and then some. As for the cons, well the list is long. According to the listing on VRBO, we were all under the impression that this house was in immaculate condition. Couldn’t have been farther from the truth. Starting with the kitchen. About the only thing the fridge had going for it was that it was cold. Most of the drawers were broken. The ice maker drawer had no stopping mechanism so if it was pulled out any farther than a quarter of the way the drawer would fall. The oven was like a 90’s computer and was difficult to use and did not keep an accurate temperature. The stovetop did not heat well. I have no clue about the dishwasher since we hand washed anything we used. The kitchen utensils were basically junk as was the cookware and appliances that were available. The gas grill caught on fire from the lack of cleaning and grease buildup from previous use. When I contacted management, all they said was thanks for letting us know. No one came out to replace it. I have high doubts that they even replace it for future rentals and they need to considering we had to use a fire extinguisher to put the fire out! We could not get the satellite to work in the living room and the WiFi was very glitchy in most of the bedrooms. The couches were filthy with sand and food. The doors were horrible. The shower in the bunk room did not work at all. The bathroom in one of the masters on the 3rd floor had leaking fixtures on the tub and the fixture for the shower would fall off. There was mold/mildew on most of the vents in the bathrooms. Only one of the dryers were useable. We were afraid that the other was going to explode because of the noise it made. The pool does not look as nice as the pictures and no one came out to clean the pool while we were there unlike the other rentals around us. The list goes on. We were all very disappointed in this rental.
