The property was ideally situated. We were easily able to walk to the beach, even my 92 year old mother! The walk to ice cream was less than 1/2 mile. The pool was awesome especially when the beach was closed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice place

Good customer service. Checked in on time. Clean house. Clean pool. Would stay there again. Traffic is the WORST! I will never stay in Duck again!!

Thanks for your 5-Star review. We are glad you had a good experience with the exception of the traffic. A travel tip to consider is don't plan on arriving at 4 PM (check in time). That is when everyone arrives. Plan on arriving at 7 PM and there is usually zero traffic incoming.

Pros- location was great. Very easy access to the shops. Beach is steps from your door. Outside shower is wonderful for rinse off before jumping in pool. Kitchen is fully stocked.Cons- traffic anytime of day to get in/off the main road can easily add an extra 10 mins. Saturday will easily add an extra 45 mins to travel time.The property itself is not well maintained. Every wall of the home is scuffed up and dirty. The house is hot. The box fans provided are covered in dust. The door to the laundry room is broken. Carpet is covered in burrs which are painful when you step on them (we even vacuumed when we came in the first day after noticing the issues). You have to wear shoes to avoid this issue. Pool furniture is dirty.Lastly, the property does state the 5th room is only accessible from the outside. However, it wasn’t clear to me this was also the case with the 3rd bathroom. The room itself isn’t usable. It’s dirty and even if cleaned properly the furniture is not comfortable.Overall, easy check in and out. Great location. However, for the price it I would expect a must cleaner and well maintained home.

Great value, could use a few upgrades

Overall we thought this property was very nice and we enjoyed staying in it. Lots of space, pool was great and clean, wonderful location, and everything in good working order. Easy walk to beach and downtown Duck and boardwalk. A few minor changes could really make a big difference - replace the sectional and chair in the living room. Both sag from years is use, are dingy, and shopworn. Second, update decorations such as pictures on walls…that would make it seem a bit fresher and move inviting. Overall a very nice and trouble free stay…we would stay again.
