We loved the view from the house. It was so relaxing. And the neighborhood facilities, the pool, lake swimming area, nature walks are all amazing too! We had plenty of bedding and kitchen supplies and it was a cozy stay!

Excellent Weekend in the Mountains

My family had a wonderful time here! They layout was family friendly, the view amazing, the kitchen well stocked and the location ideal for our mountain wanders. Check-in was easy and the check-out routine was reasonable. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Amazing Cabin in the Mountains on the Water

Great cabin for the family. Amazing view of the water and plenty of room for the family. We stayed in the winter time and the wood stove was great to keep us warm. Would love to stay again in the summer and enjoy the lake and community. The owners were great to work with and communicated with us before and after our visit.

Family Christmas

Our adult children used the cabin for Christmas. The view is spectacular. The check in process is very clear and detailed, easy. The home was clean.

We had a great time in the cabin. We found everything so nicely arranged and every amenity present. No Internet but who wants it on a vacation! The location is just awesome right beside the lake. The value for money is excellent as well as it has room for at least 8 people to sleep comfortably.

I’ve been visiting Land Harbor for 32 years. Staying with my aunt and then my parents who recently retired there two years ago. A very enjoyable stay!

Communication was superb. All as described. We def enjoyed the lake view every AM, and relaxing in the evenings with that same breath taking view. The property is very cool! Best view on the lake

Really-the best view at Linville Land Harbor with great deck spaces to enjoy the view. I loved that this home felt like a traditional mountain cabin-comfortable and homey. We had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked - we did a lot of cooking. The kids really enjoyed the beach and pool and we all loved the lake. Mark is an outstanding host and the communication throughout our stay was stellar. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful getaway!

We loved our stay! This mountain home is beautifully located near the lake. It is surrounded with foliage that makes it a private setting. You can sit in the living room and enjoy the beauty of the lake or go outdoors to the many levels of outdoor decks. My husband and I came for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary but will be back again with our children. There is plenty of space to spread out and many outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy. Mark was easy to work with and made us feel welcome.

Wonderful mountain hideaway close to everything

My family and I had a WONDERFUL time here! It was the perfect location for us to explore Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Caverns and well as the Viaduct! Exploring the community where this house was located proved to be as beautiful as the places we had come to see! The house is a bit dated and rustic, but it adds to its charm. The views of the lake were spectacular. And everything in the house worked and were easy to use. The guest book provided was very informative. And, we even got a surprise visit from a baby bear on our first morning there! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. The view is spectacular! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our two week stay. Even the weather cooperated. The information book told us everything we needed to know.

So much to do, so little time!

We absolutely loved our stay! From the house to the things to do around our location (and on the property itself). My family likes to hike and explore waterfalls and nature in general in the mountains. We had so many options that were only 15 minutes (some a little longer) away we ran out of time. This property is central to anything that any family will want to do. The property is in a community that has trails, fishing, boating, community areas and so much more. Again, we ran out of time to explore the all that was offered. The house itself, one of the most relaxing and comfortable places I have been in quite some time. The view, amazing. Once you get there, you honestly do not have to go any place else. Coffee in the morning was one of my favorite activities. The house is stocked with everything you will need and the owners were quick to answer any questions we had (called back within 5 minutes). The family loved it, including my 17 year old and 21 year old. I will be looking to stay here again!

I've been coming to Linville Land Harbor since I was a teenager and my parents built the home here. I grew up fishing here in the summers. Kim and I have been coming since we got married 32 years ago. We and our 3 kids have enjoyed fishing, swimming, walking/hiking the local trails, waterfalls, biking, kayaking, and seeing the sights of the local area (Linville, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Newland, Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the rest of the NC Mountains). After 27 years of traveling the country and the world as an Air Force Officer, I'm very happy that we've settled in NC!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The beauty, the cool weather in the summer, skiing in the winter, waterfalls in the summer, great biking, fishing, golf, swimming, tennis, kayaking, basketball, etc. We were blessed to inherit the home from my parents. The view from our deck is hard to beat. I'm relaxed as soon as I see the view of the lake from the home. In the summer there are a lot of activities at the resort, or you can just relax in the home. It's nice and quiet. My Mom named it "Tranquility."

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Beautiful lake views and walk along the Linville River and lake. Lots more to discover for yourself. The Linville River is a 5 minute walk from the house (great fishing). Linville Falls, one of the prettiest waterfalls in the east is about 20 minutes away. Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway is 10-15 minutes away. Newland is 10 minutes away with local shopping and restaurants. Boone is 25 minutes. The little community of Crossnore, one mile away has some hidden gem restaurants. The resort has a heated pool (free to guests), 18 hole golf course (be sure to play the back 9 for fantastic scenery), tennis, hiking trails, paddle boats, recreation room, bean bag toss, horseshoes, lake/beach, playground, picnic areas, basketball, volleyball, community activities, and more. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is 15 minutes away. Free wifi in the home and the den and each bedroom has a flat screen TV with cable. There are board games, some DVD movies (and DVD player), and a few books in the home.
