It rained every day of this group's stay, and was really bad luck for them and I think this had an overall negative outlook for everyone. It was such a shame. Location of the bedrooms and layout : All of the bedrooms are accessed and attached to the main villa, so this statement is not accurate at all. All of the bedrooms are accessed from within the villa except for the private flat upstairs which is attached to the main villa and has a set of stairs going upstairs and a private entrance door, 2 bedrooms, a full bath, kitchenette, spectacular sea views, 3 private terraces, (one of them huge with sea and La Concha mountain views) and sea views inside the flat, which my guests have loved as it affords total privacy and accomodates 4 guests. Poor communication and no communication at all during the length of this stay prompted me to breifly go to the villa once to make sure everything was okay, which was the day before their departure and once earlier on. I had not got a response to 2 comments made to me by one of the guests, that ''there were issues'', so I came over to the villa 2 times, once breifly trying to speak with the host of the group who made the reservation because she did not respond to my requests within the dashboard messaging centre asking her to communicate with me but she was not available. Sometimes this happens and I think its fine, as everyone seemed to be having a great time, so I left. I was there for a few moments. Only on the eve of her last day in the villa did she finally respond to me requesting her check out time. The second time I came to the villa I had a quick converstaion with the host of the reservation asking her what if any issues were there due to the comment made to me on the first day by one of the girls in the group. The only agression that took place was from a guest who I quietly asked their host to ask not interrupt our conversation which she quietly did, and that is all as I never spoke to any of the other guests and only to the host of this reservation group. I explained to her that in order to be able to communicate effectively , I only wanted to speak to her and one person, which I do as a rule, so I only had to be there for a few moments as I do not like to have to come to the villa at all and never do unless there are extenuating circumstances and I am called or there is no communication at all and need to know the check out time of if I I am asked to come, which rarely if ever happens. I have never ever been agressive with any of my guests in the past, nor would I ever dream of being agressive with them in the future. I do not live on the grounds of the villa at all. I came over to try to ask the head girl as she was the girl who made the reservation, if there was anything wrong that I could resolve and she said 'No absolutely not' and asked the other girl to leave us in peace to speak to each other. She was very polite and the conversation was limited in time, just a few moments and she told me there were no issues at all. Then a few of the women asked the pool man to leave which was a bit upsetting to him, but he quickly finished his job and informed me and left. STUDIO downstairs - I think the bedroom being referred to is the grande studio downstairs which is very big, sleeps 5 people and is very popular as it has double doors which access the outside garden, terraces and pool. Because the studio is also a double suite with its own bathroom ensuite it has two advantages, it not only accomodates 5 guests but it is accessed from within the villa as well, much like a double suite in a hotel, like the Marbella Club is known for and is always enjoyed as it allows guests to go directly to the pool and inside to the studio without tracking wet feet inside the villa, so this is actually enjoyed as an asset, as it is accessed from inside the villa as well as the outside. I have never had anyone complain about this, to the contrary it has always been seen and enjoyed as a great convenience to the villa as well as the private apartment upstairs and have been told its so nice to be in such a spacious villa that lends itself to giving privacy for large groups and families alike.
Having doors opening out to the garden, pool, jacuzzi, sea views, fresh air and so on is a delight to my guests who rent this villa and it such an enjoyable layout in keeping with the character of Spanish homes which have the advantage of having fresh air, cooler temperatures in summer, because its layout with double doors opening out as this villa does to the gardens and views of the sea and its elevation above the sea and yet so convenient to Puerto Banus very enjoyable indeed and this is in part why I am a premier host and will always strive to be one. One bedroom known as the mountain view bedrooms adjoins another bedroom and this is usally enjoyed by children, grandparents or close friends in a wedding party. It has its own hallway and a bathroom for these two bedrooms. 'Where I live' - I do not live on the grounds and I do not come by frequently at all. The communication was very poor (and I put this in my initial review with this reservation) because despite asking the head of the reservation to call me if they needed anything my calls and messages in the inbox asking about their check out time, and what the ''issue'' might be were not responded to so I finally came by once to speak with the head of the reservation and we acutally had a very nice conversation which I remember being quite good. I am quite taken back by the comment that I was agressive and intrusive. I have never ever been agressive towards any of my guests, nor did I make any complaints, I merely asked if everything was alright and if the host was having a good time with her friends. To improve the quality of all future stays and to avoid having to ask anyone about their checkout times/possible issues they might have, and in order to avoid any sort of conflict like this in the future, I have decided to make sure check out times are given to me before future arrivals at the villa and that any complaints about the villa, are addressed within the first 24 hours so that my team or maids can make the adjustment or tend to whatever needs to be done promptly and efficiently. This is how we operate. I hope this will make all reservations run smoothly in the future and that they end with a brilliant outcome of great memories as I have so often been told about when guests are departing the villa on their last day. I did ask the girls in this group if they had a nice time and was told ''yes, very'' so this review does come as quite a surprise. I never expressed an issue, I was actually trying to find out what the issue was as one guest kept passing me by on the first day commenting to me that there were issues...which was vague and when I asked what they were she just kept walking past me, this happened in the street in front of the villa when she was getting into a taxi and I had helped ensure a delivery for them. I find this a very ineffective way of communicating which is why I spoke to the head of the group. I also would like to say that I have many hen parties here in the Spring and they delight in the villa and its layout which is habitually descirbed to them in messages and over the phone. I did rate this reservation before I read her review and would not recommend renting to her in the future because of her poor communication and because of her inaccurate review.
