Ferme unique à Burton Bradstock, Dorset

Une ferme pleine de caractère et d'histoire fascinante. En bas, il y a de hauts plafonds et quelques impressionnantes poutres sculptées du XVIe siècle, ainsi qu'une cheminée Tudor à l'étage, ce qui suggère qu'il faisait autrefois partie d'un bâtiment beaucoup plus grand de haut standing. Il a été récemment rénové pour offrir une maison confortable, tout en conservant une atmosphère de ferme. Nous gardons nos propres poules et si elles pondent, vous serez accueillis avec certains de leurs délicieux œufs. Il a l'avantage d'être en plein village, mais avec beaucoup d'espace et à quelques pas de la plage ou de la campagne magnifique. Il y a deux pubs, un bureau de poste et un magasin dans le village.

Lovely house, great location

Had a great stay.House full of character.Plenty of room for 8 of us. Tranquil location.Friendly people. A nice touch was our hosts provided fresh eggs from their own chickens and lovely bottle of wine to welcome us at the start of our holiday. Very close to Westbay which is worth a visit.It has a pretty little harbour and beach. Ideal base to explore this part of Dorset.

Real Home from Home

Our second stay at Shadrack Dairy farm - perfect for those looking for a real home from home stay not just holiday accommodation. Comfortable, cosy and well equipped, this house has everything you would expect at home and it's only a few minutes walk from an excellent dog-friendly pub (Three Horseshoes) and just a few minutes more to the wonderful Hive Beach Cafe. A must for seafood lovers and also welcomes dogs. Shadrack's owners always very helpful and welcoming and the improvements they continue to do at the property really make a difference - the new bathrooms are great! Only one recommendation for some new mattresses please - current ones are a bit soft for those of us with back problems!!

Wonderful Holiday and host

Immaculate wonderful property and hosts. Kids did not want to leave and wanted to move in. Worked really well for our extended family and down stairs bedroom was perfect for mum. Burton bradstock farmhouse stay

Week at Shadrack Farm House

Firstly the host is both friendly and very helpful and helped make our stay very enjoyable. His recommendation of take away fish and chips from The Three Horseshoes was excellent as was the food. The property is very spacious and well equipped, perfect for a large extended family as we were. The property is in an excellent location, being a short walk to the beach, a shorter walk to an excellent playground and with shops and pubs very close by. There is ample parking for 3 cars. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable during our stay. There is a lot to do for a family with young children both in the immediate vicinity and a short drive away. We have no hesitation in recommending this property for a holiday and would certainly stay there again ourselves if holidaying in the area.

Fantastic house and location

The house was wonderful - spacious, full of character and the gorgeous terrace and orchard meant we felt like we were eating outdoors in the Med! Robbie and Mark were superb hosts, will definitley return another year!

Shadrack Farm - Burton Bradstock

Very cosy, spacious and well appointed. The Aga made for a warm kitchen and the fresh flowers on the mantelpiece and orchids in the bedrooms were icing on the cake.

Fabulous Staycation in Burton Bradstock

Lovely cottage with ample off road parking. Situated in beautiful village which is ideally located for beaches and costal walks. House configuration worked well for our group which included 2 dogs. Comfy beds, good showers and everything we needed for catering for a large group. Robbie and Mark are very helpful hosts, checking that we had everything that we needed. Enjoyed the nice touches such as fresh flowers, wine and bantom eggs. We would love to return some time.

A warm welcoming well equipped house.Nice bed linen and towels very clean property and a pleasure to stay in. Ideal for all year round stays in a great location for exploring the jurassic coast and surrounding countryside. Fantastic property, friendly and helpful host

We love Burton Bradstock and holiday here a couple of times a year. This was our first time staying at Shadrack farm and we loved the place. It felt like a real home from home with everything we needed. Robbie was a also a superb host who was very responsive and helpful. We will be back! If you haven't been to Burton Bradstock before you must book up the Three Horseshoes way ahead of when you want to stay as it books out. We also advise you try The Anchor at Seatown, The Hive Beach cafe, and Watch House Cafe for lunch.

Shadrach farmhouse was lovely. Clean and comfortable throughout. All the beds and bedding were lovely and comfortable. Even luxurious. The attention to detail in the property made all the difference, beautiful curtains and soft furnishings. The kitchen was very well equipped and had every conceivable tool you might need. We were greeted with flowers , wine and eggs - such a lovely touch. The outside seating area was great and the sun shined for much of our week, Robbie was very thorough with his directions and descriptions of every thing in the area. We had a great chat as well. The beach was within walkng distance and there are a few you can get to. Ogden beach has no facilities but was lovely for sitting in relative quiet and watching the world go by. We have hired hundreds of cottages over the years and this was definitely the best. Thank you.

Very comfortable and well proportioned family home situated in one of the best villages in Dorset.

Shadrack Dairy is a well presented holiday rental that sleeps 8 comfortably with four good sized bedrooms. The owners offer a very warm welcome and a pre travel briefing which is very instructive and helpful. Everything except food and beach towels are provided. The location is in the heart of a most attractive village with excellent places to eat - especially the Anchor PH if you love sea food. The beach is within easy walking distance with young children. Altogether an excellent family holiday was enjoyed by the 'Howell's' and certainly a place to revisit in the future. Robbie & Mark - you were both excellent hosts and thank you.

Wonderful family holiday

We’ve just returned from a glorious week at Shadrack Dairy Farmhouse and would highly recommend everything about it. Location is perfect, facilities in the house are amazing and host Robbie was wonderful ensuring we had the best time possible. Great for families (we were six adults a baby and a dog) as there is plenty of room to spread out. We will definitely be returning!

This house has everything you need. Mark and Robbie have thought of everything! It’s very well equipped, with comfy beds in a quiet location. A great base to explore the amazing beaches and sights nearby.

Wonderful Stay in every respect

This is, I think, the third time that we've stayed at the property. Given that there are lots of places in the world to explore, it speaks volumes that we've returned yet again. The farmhouse is beautifully furnished, well kitted out and spotlessly clean. There's everything you could possibly need, from kitchen equipment to comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. The hosts, Mark and Robbie, were excellent communicators both before and during our stay. Whilst in Burton Bradstock we particularly enjoyed the two local pubs, the excellent beach and walks nearby. We had a great brunch at Rise in West Bay. I wouldn't hesitate to recomment this property.

Great Stay

Stayed at Shadrack Dairy Farm in early October for a week with family and our two Labradors. Fantastic well maintained farmhouse which has lots of space but is still cosy with original features and charm.. Great secure outdoor space and easy off road parking. 30 yards from nearest of two excellent village pubs and a post office / store, and a pleasant 15 minute walk across fields to the coastal path, beach and cafe. The owners, Mark and Robbie, who live next door, were welcoming, helpful but unobtrusive. Will definitely recommend to friends and would be happy to return. Dave, Louise and family
