Just perfect

Property was just as listed, beautiful view, calm location but just a stones throw from the harbour and lovely restaurants. Good location to explore the island. Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place

Wonderful villa

Villa had everything we needed for our week’s stay. Superb location, exceptional views. The hosts, Nigel and Deanne, were wonderful - very helpful and generous. We can’t recommend this villa highly enough and we hope to return again next year.

Stunning location

Lovely well equipped villa with stunning views across the bay from the terrace and pool area. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Very helpful owners. Would love to return in the future.

Overall, the property was fine. The host was easy to deal and communicate with. The property was initially difficult to find as it was further away from the Agia Efimia bay as advertised. The last part of the road was not sealed.The host was generous in supplying the water, wines, juice and beers and Milk on arrival. As a recommendation more lighting is required down the steps to the villa as it is extremely dark going down the many steps at night. Also, fly screens need to be added to the front door and window in the lounge room. It would be beneficial if air conditioning was installed in the common living areas downstairs. The Pool and pool area was well equipped.

Beautiful views

Nice villa with lovely outdoor area and pool. We thought it would be air conditioned throughout however only the two upstairs bedrooms had air con units, one of our party of 5 had the basement bedroom which only had one fan, this wasn’t really sufficient in the August heat, the owners provided a second fan on request and it made a small difference but not much, still uncomfortably hot especially at night when trying to sleep..

Fabulous villa

The villa was lovely and the seaview great. We had a fantastic week and really enjoyed Agia Efima. This part of Kefalonia was unspoilt but there were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose to eat and drink. The villa was up a steep concrete roadway and I would suggest a car is essential. The pool was lovely and perfect to cool of during the hot sunny days. The villa itself was well equipped and had 2 nice identical ensuite double bedrooms with air conditioning, balconies and seaviews. A large fridge-freezer and dishwasher were very handy as was the patio with table chairs and umbrella, great for having breakfast and lunch. The hosts, Nigel and Deanne were great, accessible and answered any of our queries. I'm sure we will return.

Get away from it all!

This beautiful villa is the perfect place to get away from it all! Set up on a hill the views are spectacular, so relaxing to sit watching the boats come in while listening to birdsong or the tinkling of goats and sheep bells. Really enjoyed the pool area too, again, lovely views! The villa is kept spotlessly clean and the hosts Nigel and Dianne are really welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The resort has everything you need for a restful holiday, tavernas, (lovely food) supermarkets and some gift shops too. There is a steep drive up to the villa so a car would be needed but it’s only a few minutes and well worth it for the views! We visited Sami and the underground lake in the caves, Mytos beach (Alessandro’s at the top did a fabulous lunch and so reasonable), Fiskardo and Argosttoli. Fantastic places with such history. We’d definitely go back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Agréable villa avec piscine et vue sur la baie de Sami et Ithaque

Nigel et Deanne étaient avant tout très accueillants et disponibles. Notre bateau avait 1h30 de retard mais ils ont eu la patience de nous attendre. La vue est magnifique. On est loin du brouhaha du centre ville. Les terrasses sont bien orientées. La piscine est rafraîchissante et bienvenue du matin au soir. Tout l’equipement nécessaire y est, avec des moustiquaires sur toutes les ouvertures bien appréciables! Les chambres sont toutes orientées vers la mer et très claires, les salles de bain sont spacieuses. La localisation sur l’ile est idéale: le Nord de l’ile avec Fiskardo et Assos, Myrthos est à 20 min, le mont Ainos est à 30 min. On peut gagner Ithaque avec sa voiture depuis Sami situé à 15 min de la villa. La seule et unique chose que l’on peut regretter, en l’absence de climatisation, c’est qu’il n’y ait pas de volets pour éviter que le soleil ne cogne contre les vitres et limiter l’entrée de la chaleur. En revanche, chambres et salon sont équipés de ventilateurs, silencieux qui plus est, confortables la nuit.

The villla has Beautiful views overlooking lovely bay, in a lovely area. The villa is nice enough with a good pool, however, the things I would’ve liked to have known from other reviewers… you 100% need a car, you just can’t walk to the local bay, the villa is up a mountain. Taxis avail but at quite a cost. The aircon is only in 2 upper bedrooms, rest of villa is so hot & lower bedroom almost unbearable in June, not peak summer.

Stunning Location

I cannot praise our experience and stay high enough. From initially booking the accommodation, Nigel and Deanne were very attentative and helpful with communication and recommendations. The property is outstanding and the views of the bay, will take your breath away. Extremely clean and comfortable throughout, with all the facilities you will need throughout your vacation. The village is a perfect location, for exploring the entire island. We hired a car for our complete stay and made good use of it. Highly recommend you consider this as well. A great choice of local tavernas in the village, which we all pretty much visited. Being a lover of seafood, I was well catered for. It was such a pleasure to meet Nigel and Deanne. A truly lovely couple and great hosts who understandably love Kefalonia, which they enjoy sharing with their visitors. Please use their extensive knowledge and recommendations, to enhance your visit even more. Thank you again, for such a wonderful vacation. I will definately be returning to your beautiful villa.

Fantastic Villa with Lovely Hosts

Beautiful villa with fantastic views across the bay. Very peaceful, tranquil and relaxing yet close to local amenities including good restaurants. Very clean and tidy house and well equipped. Nigel and Deanne were most welcoming and really are lovely hosts - they couldn't have been more helpful. We have stayed at many holiday rental properties overseas and in UK - we would rate this as the best yet.

Clean, comfortable villa with fabulous views across the bay

Villa Thea is a clean, bright, well equipped villa in a super location up on the hill overlooking the bay with outstanding views across to Sami and the Island of Ithaca. The owners, Nigel and Deanne were very helpful and attentive. The beds were extremely comfortable. The terrace was ideal for sitting and admiring the view, playing games and reading. The pool was perfect for cooling off. Egia Efimia has a number of restaurants and tavernas, and the village is conveniently located towards the centre of the island, so good for exploring both north and south.

Great holiday

We had an excellent holiday. The villa has everything you could wish for. Good to relax outside and enjoy the scenery. A lovely pool with chairs and sun loungers. The village down the hill has a good selection of bars and restaurants,. You can drive a short distance and find some small coves which are very quiet and good for snorkelling. The friendly welcome and help from Nigel and Deanne was second to none.

The perfect, relaxing getaway

We had the most relaxing couple of weeks at Villa Thea. Our 2 children (5 and 7) loved the pool and the photos do not do the view justice! A 2 minute drive to the bottom of the hill then a couple of minutes to walk to beach/shops/tavernas. The villa had everything we needed including lots of lovely seating areas and the gas BBQ was much appreciated. The lack of air conditioning wasn’t a problem at all, ceiling fans very high quality and a lovely breeze through the balcony doors. Thank you Nigel and Deanne, we all had the most amazing holiday and would definitely stay again if and when we return to Kefalonia!

A beautifully tended villa in a stunning location

A very pretty and well laid out villa. The view over the bay and towards Sami are simply stunning and there’s plenty of outdoor seating options for sun and shade. The villa’s location, just above Agia Effimia, is perfect. The beautiful cove at the bottom of the hill and the array of restaurants along the seafront are just 2 or 3 minutes drive. (Walkable if not in the intense heat of summer!) The lack of aircon did concern us, however we slept with the bedroom French doors wide open (mosquito screens across) and the ceiling fan provided a soothing breeze. Mostly the area was silent at night and we all slept well.

Beautiful location and friendly, helpful hosts

The location of Villa Thea is absolutely stunning. We could never tire of the view! The village itself has plenty of bustle with a number of good restaurants and well stocked supermarkets. Nigel and Deanne could not have been more warm and welcoming. They were on hand to help with all our enquiries and were anxious to make our stay an enjoyable one. A fantastic time was had by all! Thank you. We will definitely be returning one day soon....

Perfection would have given more stars if it was possible 🌟

This was our first visit to Kefelonia but will not be our last and quite possibly be a return trip every year. The location of the villa was absolutely stunning and so is the property. It lacks nothing. Nigel and Deanne are a wonderful couple and perfect hosts. I feel that Bob and I have made new friends I will remain in touch and see again in the future. By staying here we had the best of both worlds in having peace, quiet, and tranquility a the view was spectacular. But then we went down into the village where the choice of excellent tavernas meant we eat at a different one each night and we're spoilt for choosing a favourite. There are several supermarkets and coffee shops. We went out for the day on one of the "yellow boats" and this is a really nice way to look back at the villages and coastline.

Fantastic Villa Thea!

Villa Thea, as its name suggests, has a fantastic view overlooking not only the sea but a complete panoramic view from the island of Ithaca to the town of Sami. It has a lovely private pool and a sunbed area overlooking breathtaking views. It has all the amenities that you could wish for other than air conditioning. That is made clear from the info/description and something we had discussed prior to booking. It is not a huge issue, although we were there in late August and the temperature was around 38 C which, despite the lovely breezes coming through the screens at night, made sleeping a little less comfortable than it could have been. The villa is very clean and Nigel and Deanne are wonderful hosts. They made us feel very welcome and the level of personal service and attention is exceptional. The location of the villa is perfect - it is very close to the shops and restaurants of Agia Efimia and yet it is private and peaceful. The elevated position that gives such spectacular views also means a fairly steep incline to get to the villa, we would therefore recommend a car. In summary, notwithstanding the minor points above, Villa Thea is a wonderful place to stay. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it. In summary,
