This Swiss Chalet was AMAZING!! It was super clean, exactly like the pictures and incredibly BEAUTIFUL!!! Views were breathtaking!! Kitchen was fully stocked. We would stay here again for sure and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in Wengen. Wengen is the PERFECT village as well.

The Chateau Aquila is beautiful and comfortable for a three generation family. We were able to cook breakfast every day and the kitchen functioned very well! Had a great stay with our family!

A week of skiing in Switzerland was a trip that we will not soon forget. This lovely chalet served as a great home base and the listing and pictures accurately depict how nice it is. It is in a great location for enjoying Wengen and the Jungfrau ski areas. It was more than enough space for our family of five, and the kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to eat a few meals at home. The management staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Phenomenal

The property was super clean, beds were comfortable, views were great; it was as good or better than the photos. Communication with the host was perfect, they sent detailed instructions. Would stay there again.

It's our fourth time in Chalet Aquila, and we love it

It has everything we need and works very well for our family, especially now the children are growing up. It's just a lovely space, and the views are great. Hope we can return again! A few extra items in the kitchen might be useful, such as some pyrex bowls and jugs, and baking dishes.

Beautiful views, convenient location

An outstanding, sunny apartment with decks on two sides to enjoy the views of the mountains and village. The grocery store, bakery and train station are all about a 5-6 minute walk. Immaculately clean apartment with a washer/dryer on premises so we didn’t need to pack as many clothes. The best!

30 year Anniversary Trip

There are no words to describe this fairytale magical place called Wengen! I have never seen anything so beautiful in my life. The VRBO was a perfect complement to this magical place. It was quaint, comfortable and the views were like nothing I had ever seen. We left this morning for Lucerne, and wish we would have stayed in Wengen at this amazing VRBO until our last day.

Spectacular mountain setting!

Our family of four adults just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful apartment in the mountain village of Wengen. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed with spectacular views of the mountains from the balconies. You can start your hikes from the door or catch the train for sightseeing just a few minutes down the road in the village. Our most memorable hike was along the north face of the Eiger wich afforded jaw-dropping views of the area! You can stroll easily to the quaint village of Wengen where you can find many delightful shops and restaurants. Wengen is a truly special place and staying in this "home-away from home" made it all the more memorable!

Swiss Family Vacay

This penthouse was perfect for us and our 4 adult children. Everyone had plenty of space and there was ample room to spend time together as a family. The place was well stocked with all the cooking supplies needed to stay in for a home cooked meal and even have some traditional Swiss fondue! The place was quiet, except for the bells from the neighbors sheep, which is part of the Swiss charm. We enjoyed the view of the Alps from our balcony as well as watching the cogwheel train pass by. Would recommend for a family, or even two families to share. The place is up a steep, but again-par for the course!

Great summer stay for family of 5

Our family of 5 (inc kids 17,15,12) had an amazing stay in Wengen in Aquila 8. The apartment is located a short walk uphill from the train station and has amazing views both down into the Lauterbrunnen valley as well as up towards Mannlichen and the famous peaks. We enjoyed using Wengen as a base to explore the area while being a little off the beaten path of Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen/Murren. We drove from Zurich and parked easily at the Lauterbrunnen train station, which we used to get up to Wengen (although the walk DOWN is scenic and fun). The apartment layout worked well for our family with 3 main bedrooms plus the loft allowing everyone their own space. The kitchen was nice and well-appointed and allowed us to cook a couple meals while not eating out elsewhere. Communication and check in with Julie at Wengen Apartments was easy. Overall had a great stay and would do it again!

Chalet Aquila 8 Penthouse

Thank you very much for the chance for our family to stay in this wonderful rental apartment for our time in Wengen. We truly could not have wished for better, in every single respect (location, convenience, beautiful rooms, brightness, equipment, appliances including washing machine and dryer, all kitchen necessities and way more - spices and condiments, etc., decor, pristine condition, wonderful bedding and bed linens, etc. and your team’s amazing assistance and support and clear instructions throughout). We are extremely grateful to the Wengen Apartment team, who were always very kind, helpful and responsive, and to the family who made their beautiful apartment available for a short-term rental. There is actually nothing to improve upon! One of our family members had some difficulty with adjusting the height of the shower head in the second master bedroom (adjacent to the room with two beds), but suspect this might be either something that we were not doing correctly or that simply might need a very minor adjustment. Thanks again!

Pristine apartment - fantastic place to stay!

I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. My family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children) very much enjoyed our stay and we’re reluctant to leave after 7 nights. We loved being on the top floor, and especially enjoyed the balconies. The apartment was accurately described and the host, Julie, was very responsive. It’s worth noting that the loft is very short, especially at the top of the stairs. One of my kids liked it, but otherwise we probably wouldn’t have used the space.

Absolutely Perfect!

Chalet Aquila 8 was perfect for our stay in Wengen. We researched many homes before booking Aquila 8. What we like most about this home was the space for our family to enjoy the spectacular views. We liked the open floor plan and unique loft area for the kids. The home was in perfect order and offered many amenities to make us feel at home. The view from the balconies was excellent and we were treated to goats and sheep with their bells in the adjacent yard. It made for great entertainment as we watched a goat that continually escaped and tried to get back in the yard! Wengen is our favorite place to stay in the Alps and this property allows for easy at-home cooking if you wish. We cooked a few meals and brought back pizza one night from the nearby Caprice Hotel. After a hard day of hiking, it was great to relax on the balcony and have a drink overlooking the valley or up to the Jungfrau. We were blessed with perfect weather, which made the Chalet even more enjoyable. Plan to be back in the future, perhaps to ski.

Fijn appartement in het leuke dorpje Wengen!

We komen al jaren in Wengen. Dit appartement is heel fijn, ruim, schoon en in combinatie met het appartement aan de overkant van de gang was het perfect voor een grote familie als die van ons.

Perfect stay

The accommodation and views were superb. Julie was extremely helpful - even with regards to organising the Covid testing. Very glad of the lift which operated with Swiss efficiency! We have stayed in Wengen multiple times and would very happily stay again in Chalet Aquilla. Nothing :)

Wow!

What a slice of Heaven! From the moment we opened the door until we turned the key on the way out, every moment of this stay, in probably the most beautiful place on earth, was utterly refreshing and reinvigorating. I would love to more than just stay here... I would live here. 10/10

Awesome location

Wengen is an awesome town with spectacular views they are breathtaking. The property is located a short walk from downtown and the view from the living room balcony and bedroom balconies are awesome. The manager Julie communicates great with you and will provide any information needed. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting to head to Wengen. I can’t say enough nice things about the city, the property, property manager and the views.
