Tranquility

A beautiful hidden neighborhood with cozy cottage homes on the water. You can float the day away in the pool, fish off the dock and finish the day with a lovely sunset.

Perfect Stay

My wife and I were looking to “snowbird” for a month and this rental was perfect. The home was beautiful, the pool was wonderful, and waking up every morning overlooking the water and palm trees is exactly what we envisioned. Jack and Stacia were attentive and answered every question we had. The pleasant surprise was the neighborhood, everyone was as gracious as could be and always had a smile and a wave. Can’t wait to go back!

first time for a month in Key West

We were anxious for our stay in Key west. We had been traveling in a RV for the past 20 months. With the pictures on VRBO of the home, we could not wait to get there and jump into the pool. Well that did not happen! The pool was not up to a temperature we could get in it plus nit was green. It had not been cleaned maybe all winter and the host had to get a repair person out there. That took 6 days with no pool. The other misleading issue we had was the living room furniture. The photos show nice big comfortable leather type furniture. Not!! The 2 couches were awful, cheap and so uncomfortable. The legs were made of plastic and 1 was broken and I had to use heavy gauge cardboard just to keep it up to sit on. No recliners, No chairs, just 2 awful couches. We had to fix the vent in the primary bathroom as it was hanging out of the ceiling. One of the lounge chairs was broken too. The hosts did order 2 more lounge chairs for the pool which I unboxed (thats where the cardboard came from) and then cut up the cardboard boxes and put in the recycle bin. We asked the host on 2 occasions about a credit for not having the pool for 6 days but no reply and no credit. There was not a pizza cutter or kitchen tongs. There was a lot of mismatched utensils. The outside grill was all rusty too. When we did get into the pool, it was really nice. Just a shame we didn't get the whole month to enjoy it. The refrigerator was full of food and we had to empty it or move not for our food. There was not a screen on the downstairs slider so when the temperature was cool, we could not open the door and enjoy the cool ocean breeze. All the windows were not able to one opened. Safety issue??? One more negative wasn't the stains on the mattresses due to not having any mattress pads on the beds. I will say that the location of the home was very nice and the neighbors were nice too. It was such a downer when we could not get into the pool for the first week. Another thing to be aware of is the owner will notify you the day before you check in that you can not turn the AC down below 74 (although he did let us go to 72 after asking) and we could not turn the pool up past 82 although the pool repair / service person set it for 84 which was great. We would come back but to another home and we would check the reviews for accuracy of the listing and rules, etc. before opening the many thousands we did spend.

We have rented this luxury $2m home home for 6 years with happy memories from countless visitors. Until this guest who complained, nearly every day, of something. Leaves in pool, pool too cold at 82, air too hot at 72, pillows in one room too flat, can't find a spatula, palm frond fell, it was endless. We responded to every complaint immediately and at the end the tenant wanted a refund. False statements are particularly frustrating such as not servicing the pool all winter. We have a pool service which comes every week. With this guest they were there repeatedly due to complaints (leaves in pool, too cold -82 degrees, a bit cloudy after weekly chemicals, etc). The pool was never out of service. As for a broken chaise, the prior tenant said none were broken when they left. We sent 2 new chaises and this guest complained about opening the box. The grill is one year old, not rusty. The couches are 1 1/2 years old and the cleaning lady removed his cardboard and simply screwed the leg in properly. He turned on the faucet and sent a video of water pouring under the sink. We immediately sent a plumber who said the tenant apparently pulled hard on the spray nozzle which the plumber fixed in seconds with a turn of a wrench. After they left we got the largest electric and water bills ever. (2x normal). We did not keep any of their deposit. Our apologies to those good guests but unfortunately we are compelled to respond to such a false review left because they wanted a refund after staying a month and driving us crazy.
