Ezmeralda est un bungalow classique rénové des années 1920, vous offrant 748 pieds carrés de charme total, confort, confort et propreté. Ce bungalow de deux chambres est entiÚrement meublé et comprend une cuisine entiÚrement équipée. Peut accueillir 4 personnes confortablement. Enfants bienvenus. Excellent pour toutes les occasions, escapade entre filles, vacances en famille, retraite en couple, voyage en solo, rassemblement d'amis, retraite tranquille, la liste est longue.
Une promenade de quinze minutes vous emmĂšne dans notre centre-ville historique pour profiter de l'atmosphĂšre de la petite ville, ainsi que de nos boutiques spĂ©cialisĂ©es, restaurants, Ă©glises, etc. Notre cĂ©lĂšbre GenĂšve sur le lac, a. k.a "The Strip" est de 4,5 miles, un court trajet de 10 minutes. Stayed at Ezmeraldas for a getaway weekend with my sister. The cottage was perfectly sized for two people, spotlessly clean, and was extremely well-stocked. The decor was very unique and greatly added to our enjoyment. The grounds are amazing with beautiful landscaping and wooded paths that put this place head and shoulders above the usual rentals. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the wine shack and fire pit both nights. The location is perfect for going to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. And to top it all off, Jan is about the coolest most interesting host you could ask for. You won’t be disappointed if you book this cottage .

We had a wonderful stay at Esmeralda’s. Jan was absolutely amazing! She thought of everything. She was very accommodating and the attention to detail was fantastic. The home had so much character and was the very clean. I have told everyone I know about my experience and recommend a stay at this wonderful gem in Geneva. Jan is “the hostess with the mostest!” My husband and I have stayed in Ezmeralda three times because it is a wonderful cottage packed with things to do for all ages. Games, puzzles, art supplies to paint projects, coloring books, etc. The house is absolutely beautiful! Jan has decorated the home with her vintage style that takes you back in time. Jan has thought of everything you could possibly have forgotten from toiletries to coffee and tea supplies. Sitting on the swing that hangs in the wine shack and making a fire in the fire pit is so relaxing. You can walk the back of her property on trails to see all of the hidden treasures Jan has put around her property. It is a beautiful and very relaxing place to stay! Jan is an absolute gem to communicate with and to help you with information to help make your stay a wonderful experience. Lake Erie is only 10 minutes from the property! We will be returning to Ezmeralda again! Wonderful host and property!

Jan was awesome! Gracious host ,so warm and friendly. She helped with learning where to go and the best winery to visit. The cottage and property were amazing, down to every last detail. You will feel like your home here . The cottage provides everything you could think of, very cozy . I definitely would love to visit again .

High School Reunion celebration!

Two of my high school friends and I wanted to celebrate our reunion in Ohio at the wineries but were unsure of where to stay, as this was our first visit to the Geneva-on-the-Lake area. After doing some research, we came across Ezmeralda’s and could not have been happier with our choice. Jan and Joe both extended warm hospitality and their cottage could not have been nicer. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and Jan’s creativity and attention to detail was nothing short of amazing! We hope to come back again soon and will highly recommend this property to other friends and family.

What a magical spot! Calming and quiet outside spaces perfect to relax and enjoy nature. The grounds are very well designed . My daughters and I have stayed here previouisly and just love it. Quiet, lots of fresh air, and the Wine Shack! Nicely stocked too. Not to mention the location. Perfect for geting around. and Jan is the absolue best!

exceeded my expectations

extremely clean and wonderfully designed. the space is so well thought out and prepared intentionally. The towels and bed linens are cotton! this is becoming so hard to find with rentals, microfiber (plastic) is so common now, to the point I bring my own sheets when I travel, so relieved I don't have to do that here. no nasty foam beds either, they are regular mattresses, on the firm side but I slept really well. it is beyond cozy, and there are so many lovely touches, reading materials, resources, and outlets for creativity.

Serenity for the Soul

Beautiful home and property, as well as hosts. Second time here and planning next trip. Everything you could possibly want or need in a perfect location. The interior is warm and welcoming. The gardens and firepit area are inspiring. There are lots of things to do nearby, but we came to relax and recharge and I feel better than I have in months.

Magical

I hesitate to write this review because I actually don’t want anybody else to know about this amazing magical little bungalow.I went in February to go to my sons Swim Meet at Spire sports facility. I really just needed a place to lay my head for a few days in between going to watch swimming. As luck would have it I stumbled upon Esmeralda's. And when I walked in, I met Jan.. I was immediately taken by her peaceful nature, her kindness and the way she made me feel at ease as a solo traveler this past weekend.. upon entering her bungalow. It was instantly clear that I had stepped into a magical little house. It had everything I needed extremely clean and a step back in time to when little details mattered. I plan to go there many more times and even though there are things I didn’t see in Ohio sitting in her little cottage/bungalow was a kind of peace that our busy days don’t allow for. Thank you, Jan. I will be back and it was so nice to meet you.

Gem of Geneva

We went in October experiencing beautiful fall colors all through the woods at the back of this property. There are trails to meander, a swing in a wine shed, stocked with candles, wood for the fire pit. So have fun bringing your own wine (or marshmallows) The house itself is absolutely charming. Very nostalgic with a beautifully updated 1920 something feel, AND with all the amenities we have grown to need - fully equipped kitchen, great selection of books, games and even art supplies. Five stars for sure!

Great rental property

Perfect Get-away

Ezmarelda's was a perfect spot for a 2 night stay as we transitioned to being empty-nesters. The house itself is charming and though small, had every single thing we could have come up with needing. The treasure for us is the outside, especially the wine shed overlooking three acres of beautifully landscaped woods that visitors can explore. Jan, the owner, is a delight and not only is extremely responsive, she anticipated what we needed. All of her recommendations for local attractions were spot on. We can't wait to come back.

I stayed at this location while my daughter was spending a weekend at Spire Institute. The place was phenomenal. Absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. So many minor details throughout. Lot of history within this bungalow and the views around the gardens and sheds are breathtaking. Close enough to walk to restaurants. Jan and Joe were wonderful hosts! Will stay here again!

My hometown is Latrobe, Pennsylvania. I moved to this area in 1980 with the intent of staying a few years and here it is, I am still here. I am at my best being outdoors no matter what the weather may be. I purchased this 1920's bungalow in 2010. It was due for demolition with the city. I purchased this property with the same intent, demo and simply expand the footage of my yard. Once inside and exploring, the foundation was solid. My plans for demo changed to renovation. The renovation became a labor of love. Keeping to the original build of the 1920's, renovation took a little over 2 years due to my work schedule. My companion, Joe Marte, was very instrumental as well renovating this property. Sharing Ezmeralda's with guests is a dream come true! Ah, the name...Ezmeralda's. Let me tell you, very simply. Ezmeralda is the nickname given to me by my beloved Mom. It only seemed right. I'm sure she would have approved!

I purchased this property in 2010. Living next door, I remember always wishing that I would love to be its owner. Although fairly neglected in the 20+ years of living next door to this property, I could see "her" potential. When it became available in 2010, I was elated. It took approximately one year to "close the deal" and in the end, everything worked in my favor, and I became the owner of "The Blue house on Sherman", now known as... Ezmeralda's. This bungalow gave me the opportunity to channel my creativity and indulge in my passion for vintage finds, antiques, flipping flea market treasures and putting it all together! It is whimsical and you can sense a light touch of magic in the air. Come, you will love what you see!

Although this property is located in the city and minutes away from many attractions in this area, Ezmeralda's offers a very private, rural setting. Enclosed on 3+ acres, the wooded area in the back of the property is breathtaking. An outbuilding, known as "The Wine Shack," overlooks the ravine. The name says it all ... sip a glass of wine. Stroll woodland pathways. What did you discover? Truly a unique setting on this property! The Wine Shack includes outdoor furniture, a picnic table and use of the fire pit. Just outside the back door is the garden shed and patio. A patio table and chairs are located in this area along with a gas grill / utensils for your use. Our front porch is a cozy sitting area as well! Come... you are going to enjoy this bungalow and all that it has to offer.
