Sunset view

Villa lovely and in good area .Can walk to village and three restaurants,although up a steep hill,mini market open until midnight.Views of sunset from villa exceptional along with good sea views from all rooms.Northern Cyprus is a lovely place for a holiday,good value for money in shops and restaurants,with good selection of wines and spirits at lower prices than home.A few problems,but promptly addressed by John and Mike,who were both very helpful.

Spacious and compfortable

The property is really spacious and was very clean. The owner and manager very helpful. Pool was a little cold as it was November but the kids still went in!

Villa with fantastic views

Stunning villa with great views of the coastline. Peaceful location within walking distance of good local restaurants and supermarket. A car is essential to visit some superb beaches and Kyrenia harbour. Any questions or advice dealt with quickly by John the owner and Mike from the management company. Thoroughly recommended.

Very enjoyable

John stayed in close communication in the run up to and during our two weeks in the villa. We really enjoyed the accommodation and the pool with fantastic views of the sunset over the sea in the evening. There are many excellent restaurants in the area and with the food so good eating out was the natural choice. The Esentepe Restaurant is about 50m from the villa and a great resource. Overall an excellent holiday. Thank you.

Fabulous fortnight in Esentepe

Just back from 2 weeks at this lovely villa. The views and the infinity pool are just great. We enjoyed watching may a sunset from here. During early evening the sun reflects off the pool onto the villa making the walls shimmer, so relaxing. We were disappointed that the shower on the ground floor wasn’t working, but I believe that is now being fixed. A bigger toaster and some more wardrobe space in the main bedroom would’ve made the stay even better. The villa is ideally situated, just minutes from Esentepe restaurant and a few minutes more to Tumba, both we ate at and enjoyed. Tumba is really friendly as are all the locals we met. You need a car if you want to get about. We went to Kyrenia a couple of times, just a 30 minute drive and v straightforward. We went on a boat trip from there too.. There are a few beaches nearby, Alagadi and Acapulco (which you access through a resort, you have to pay but the sunloungers are free and there’s a pool and water park) . Famagusta is lovely as is Salamis. Salamis has direct access to a nice beach. Our favourite trip was to the Karpaz Peninsula and Golden Beach, well worth a visit. The beach was just beautiful and unspoilt. We went up to the top of the peninsula and the monastery where you can buy food for the donkeys that roam freely in the area. All in all we had a great time here and would recommend the villa and area. We hope to come back. John was very helpful with any queries both before and during our stay, booking transfers and car hire too. The transfers were early for the return journey which was appreciated. It was lur first time to North Cyprus and we were quite taken with it.

Review

Lovely villa with the most fabulous views from the inside and the outside terraces. Great size infinity pool, very safe for children at the really shallow end. The fully open plan layout is excellent as no one is tucked away cooking, etc, The addition of a microwave and a bigger toaster would be a bonus. Also a TV or DVD would have been welcome for when the weather turns a little too chilly to sit outside. There are some village restaurants very close by which are basic but serve extremely good food. If on foot there is a very steep hill leading up from the villa but take a deep breath and you’ll get there no problem! A car is essential to get out and about beyond the village and you’ll find some extremely good restaurants dotted around the area. Any questions/problems you might come across are quickly sorted out by Mike the property manager. On the whole we had a great holiday in this extremely lovely property and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who loves privacy and quiet. Stunning!!

Beautiful modern villa with outstanding views

We have just returned from spending 2 weeks in this beautiful modern villa The villa is just outstanding, modern, clean and with a beautiful infinity pool. The villa was perfect for us as a family with a 12 and 10 year old. We all loved that we had separate rooms and our own bathrooms/shower. The infinity pool was amazing with views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. We were not overlooked at all and where only a 5 minute walk to restaurants and a supermarket. A car is a must to view the island and to get to nearby beautiful beaches. If you want a relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa this is for you. John owner arranged airport taxi transfers and hire car for us and everything went like clockwork. Only downside was a TV would have been good for children when out of sun/ on an evening.

We do have tv's in the wardrobes and also a hd tv projector which projects a 120 inch screen. I plan on spending the winter period setting it all up so it's ready to use for any future guests or if you return yourself. We have refunded you damage deposit. Many thanks.

Beautiful villa, in a fantastic location, with plenty to do.

I booked it back in January for my family - me, my wife and our two teenage daughters.I was a bit nervous at it had no reviews. John the owner is UK-based and was very happy to chat things through before we went. He even managed to arrange a hire car and taxi transfers (in very nice new Mercedes mini buses) from Larnaca to the villa and back cheaper than I could book it from the UK. He told me it was the first season that it had been rented out to paying guests,rather than family and friends, hence the lack of reviews. The villa is in a wonderful location with beautiful views over the sea and the mountains from every window and the upstairs terrace is fantastic for star gazing. There were a few teething problems, but these were all sorted out very promptly and John and Mehmet (his local contact who is originally from London) were very obliging. The pool is even better than the photos suggest – it is the best we have had and we all very much enjoyed using it as much as possible to cool down. The villa is in Esentepe, a small village but with 3 restaurants, a small supermarket and a bank, where we changed Sterling to Turkish Lire at very good rates. Of the three restaurants, our favourite was the Esentepe restaurant which is literally at the top of the access road to the villa.The villa is too far from the sea to walk, so you will need a car. Our favourite was the beach at Alagadi and the views from the water are beautiful. Kyrenia is about 25 minutes drive along the cost, and the harbour is beautiful and lined with lots of restaurants – they vary in quality. The Azure, which is not far from the harbour, is best with a set lunch for 35 Turkish Lire (£5.25) per person. We booked to see the turtles laying eggs on Alagadi beach (10 minutes from the villa) and were given a tiny turtle hatchling to hold and then release into the sea. We recommend the Jeep Safari and (Cyprusactive) & the Aphrodite boat trip (Kyrenia Boat Trips), both £40/person. We visited North Nicosia which was very hot, but interesting.The Buyuk Han (a very old inn and later British prison) was beautiful with great little shops in the old rooms/prison cells, and a very good restaurant in the courtyard. We visited Famagusta and saw the abandoned Varosha district from the road, which looked very sad and overgrown.This was a beautiful villa, in a fantastic location, with plenty to do and all much cheaper than anywhere else in Europe, by about 40% Thank you John.

Great property

We loved our stay in the property which was modern and in very good condition the pool was fantastic.John the owner was in touch with us before our departure and arranged a taxi for us from Larnaca airport and also car hire at a very good rate.We had as small problem with the electrics and Mike who looked after the property came straight away and sorted it.I am very likely to book the property again next year.Overall we had a great holiday and would not hesitate in recommending the property to friends and family.
