Logement à son meilleur! Restez dans une suite de luxe au coeur de Jim Thorpe.  Suite de Van Pelt sur Opera Square se trouve directement en face de l'Mauch Chunk Opera House Opera House Square! Cette suite vient d'être créé et se sent comme vous êtes en séjour à Soho, New York. Nouveau matelas à plateau-coussin, nouvelle cuisine avec toutes les commodités, nouveau canapé inclinable, nouvelle télévision intelligente et même une laveuse / sécheuse. Les œuvres de Joel LeBow sont accrochées aux murs, créant une atmosphère propice à la détente.

La maison appartenait à l'origine à Lehigh Valley Navigation, elle a ensuite été vendue et le premier étage était un salon de coiffure. Nous avions également un magasin, mais avons décidé de donner cet espace charmant aux clients voyageant à Jim Thorpe.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This sweet place was perfect! The owners were lovely- they even had a homemade treat waiting for us! Many restaurants and shops in walking distance. Will definitely be back soon!

Jim Thorpe visit

The Van Pelt Suite was a lovely centrally located place across the street from the beautiful Opera House. Very walkable to all the local attractions and wonderful hosts.

We had a lovely quiet couples weekend in Jim Thorpe. Helen was a gracious host and the suite was well stocked with anything we could need. Tastefully decorated, quiet and a great location! Highly recommend it.

I was never in Jim Thorpe previously and I fell in love with the charm of the town! Great shops and restaurants and this lovely location was within walking distance of everything. Very eclectic art collection, comfortable seating and great space overall. Would highly recommend.

Perfect!

This will be the only property I stay in when going to Jim Thorpe. It's a perfect location with a parking spot. Helen was wonderful to rent from. She is super nice, very helpful, and exceptionally accommodating. It is the perfect place for a couple to stay.

Wonderful place!

Enjoyed our stay and no better place to stay close to everything going on in Jim Thorpe for a couple. Slept great and had a relaxing fun weekend. Just walked across the street to our concert and down the street to tons of restaurants. Will be back! Thank you.

Perfect Place to Stay in Jim Thorpe

If you are a couple looking to spend time in Jim Thorpe I can't imagine why you would consider staying anywhere else. Perfect location in the middle of the town, directly across from the Opera House. We saw a show on Friday night and we were back in our lodgings before the rest of the audience got down from the balcony. The dedicated parking space is a HUGE plus in this congested town. Lodgings are clean, comfortable and top notch. Great hosts!

Amazing location

I booked this house for My girlfriend birthday. It was the best looking house that I saw online. Everything you needed was a walk away. Amazing restaurants and local bars with great local people at walking distance. The house was very nice and had everything. Modern kitchen, laundry room, and a bedroom with a cute studio atmosphere. I would recommend this homeaway to everyone

Awesome Getaway Spot

This was my first trip to Jim Thorpe. The suite we rented was exactly as advertised! Very clean, and cozy and perfectly located on the Main Street of town. The suite also came with a parking spot, which was a huge plus. I highly recommend this unit to rent and we will definitely be back again. We had an absolute blast. The people couldn’t not be more friendly and welcoming. Several great restaurants to choose from all within walking distance of the rental.

Study Weekend in Jim Thorpe

I will be back! This apartment was lovely, comfortable, a well-appointed kitchen that was a pleasure to cook in; beautiful linens and towels, and an extremely comfortable bed: It had charm and grace. My host Helen and her husband were warm, helpful, and a genuine pleasure to meet. This was a work weekend for me. I needed a place free of distractions and creature comforts to prepare for an upcoming exam. This was it. Outside my door and a few steps down the street was Muggles Mug, great coffee, scones. Jim Thorpe is a charming town, the Van Pelt house was a charming house and Helen Van Pelt was a dear host. I will come back when I can enjoy the town and venture and explore more. Thank you for a perfect weekend.

Great place in a convenient location

It was truly a joy staying in this lovely, spacious, very well appointed home right in the center of the historic and picturesque town of Jim Thorpe. Helen and Steve were the perfect host and hostess. They were there if needed, but gave us complete privacy. They have done a highly admirable job of stocking a very well re-modeled kitchen, stocked with everything you need and more - all high quality appliances, dishwater, cookware, the works! Although the weather was cold during our stay, the apartment was always warm and comfortable. The thermostat allowed us to control exactly how warm or cool we wanted the apartment to be. They even have a separate heater for the bathroom, which was also well appointed with a very nice shower and plentiful hot water. The bed was very comfortable, and plenty of linens were provided. The location of the apartment provides quick access to everything in town, and the provided parking space right across the street allowed us to just hop in our car and explore everything the beautiful area has to offer. We look forward to staying again.

It was close to everything in town right across the street from the opera house and parking spot was conveniently across the street also-and the accommodations were comfortable with it nice porch in front of the house

closets space

Everything was very nice but there was no closet or bureaus for our clothes good thing we bought hangers we hung our clothes in the laundry room. I think the owners live there and rent it out and stay upstairs the refrigerator had food and the freezer was packed.

Weekend Getaway

This rental was wonderful. Helen was very easy to work with and very kind. The suite had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and within walking distance to so many fun spots. My husband and i parked our car, and didn't move it all weekend. It was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Weekend stay

This weekend stay was great! Upon arrival without realizing, we were an hour early, Helen, the property owner, was so gracious in letting us in and getting settled. The apt. Was fantastic and extremely comfortable. She made sure that we had everything, this home was fully equipped and she even added in a few snacks. We were located on the Main road where everything was happening, but really didn’t feel that way. I think the loudest sound was a few motorcycles from time to time. All in all it was a great stay, Helen was most accommodating, and I’d love to come back and rent her home again. Highly recommended. Thank you, Joan

We are originally from NJ but my husband's grandparents lived in Coaldale, PA which is about 20 minutes from Jim Thorpe. When we were going to retire we decided to look around this area and found this magnificent town of Jim Thorpe. We love the history, the architecture and the fact that there is so much to do in this small town. When we bought our house we originally had an Antique Shop on the first floor of our 3 story home. Last year we decided to close the shop and created a luxury suite in the space. My husband, Steve, did all the work and I must applaud him for the gorgeous space he created!

This is one of the best locations in town. Galleries, Opera House, shops, restaurants, and all activities are right outside the door. We offer discounted tickets for shows at the Opera House and other stay packages. The suite is for 2 people only and is open all year.

You will also love this location since it is steps away from everything you need or want in town. The bonus is that the Mauch Chunk Opera House is directly across the street.
