Fish Trap est l'endroit idĂ©al pour une escapade relaxante! Vous pourrez vous dĂ©tendre et discuter avec des amis dans la vĂ©randa ou griller des guimauves projetĂ©s dans autour de la fosse de feu entre la riviĂšre et la cabine. Stacked, bois de chauffage sec est disponible pour vous d'utiliser pour une somme modique. À l'intĂ©rieur, vous trouverez une cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e qui se jette dans la salle Ă  manger et le salon avec tĂ©lĂ©vision par satellite et par cĂąble et foyer au gaz. Reposez-vous d'une journĂ©e de profiter du grand air dans l'une des trois chambres confortables ou dans un fauteuil sur la grande terrasse donnant sur la riviĂšre. La cabine prĂ©sente Ă©galement du parquet, des boiseries et des sols en carrelage dans les salles de bains modernes et entiĂšrement meublĂ©es. Dehors, il y a un barbecue Ă  gaz pour les grillades, un immense jardin et un accĂšs privĂ© Ă  la riviĂšre pour les vacances de vos rĂȘves!

We stayed for a couple of days over the holidays. The property was beautiful and clean and the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. We already booked another trip! The views of the river were amazing. Very peaceful place to get some rest and recovery. Highly recommend!

We had a perfect weekend at this riverside gem! The location is stunning, right on the water with beautiful views and total peace and quiet. The cabin was immaculate, cozy, and had everything we needed. We loved the fire pit and direct river access. The host was communicative and helpful. It's the ideal spot to unwind and connect with nature. We can't wait to come back!

This was the perfect trip. The cabin is 30 minutes away from Skyline drive and about 16 minutes away from shopping and other activities like Luray Caverns. Its a lovely town and the hosts were very good with communication. There were bugs but you are in the woods and you shouldnt go to the woods without expecting some wildlife. Also great fiahing spot for redeye and bass. Also was able to bring my dog which was a bonus. I will definitely be back.
Very close to the river.
Beautiful firepit with wood provided.
Jacuzzi was beautiful with different light features and very clean.

Great location for trails and wine

What a great place. The home was clean and had plenty of the essentials to get us going upon our arrival. Everyone was responsive to our questions to prepare for arrival. The home is beautiful in an amazing location on the river. We had a family of ducks visit us most mornings. We were able to hike in Shenandoah National Park every morning and found many wineries to quench our thirst on the way back to bbq and soak in the hotutb every day.We cant wait to return soon.

Nice getway for my little family of 4, only one complaint was hot tub

This place was nice, clean and spacious for us. We didn't arrive until 11pm, and followed the GPS instructions that the owner emailed with our Agreement. The directions took us up a hill to a vacant lot that was private property! It was like a scene out of a horror movie, like wrong turn! However we eventually found the property and was glad someone had came by to start the hot tub, but they left the keys on the door, and left the lights in the storage room on, making us think someone was in the house, but nobody. After we unpacked and settled in, it was cozy. Couldn't get the gas fireplace to start so we waited until morning to call Kevin, our maintenance help who directed us how to use it, he was great! In the morning the house was beautiful. Didn't look as dark and creepy as it did a night time. I think if they put up some stringed lights around the deck it would make the home feel cozier. Firepit/river was in close proximity, large ground if you have pets that like to run around, but we have little kids so didn't use a lot of outdoor space. Also too cold to use canoe, but would've been fun for kids since we did do some fishing, but caught nothing. Kids were too afraid to sleep apart from us so we all huddled in one bedroom. Only one bad thing is the hot tub took forever to heat up. It actually never did, we had to boil water to get some warmth in there. It wasn't until the end of our second night that we finally were able to use it. By then it was already close to check, so we did to use it one last time, so by the 3rd day it was finally hot. The water felt oily and a bit grimy. Likely well water, so its expected. Jets didn't work in hot tub, jets in the tub in the house also did not work. Kids would've loved it. Overall, our stay was pleasant. The house is fully equipped with all your kitchen needs, extra blankets, and sleeping/lounging gear. We also found a HUGE spider in the laundry room, about the palm size of my 4 yr old. Kids loved it but freaked out at the same time. We made good memories. I would recommend staying here. Home has starter package for all your needs, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, napkins, etc. Everything I packed, I took back home, so just FYI, to lighten your load, they do have the necessities to start you off. We didn't stay long and had little ones so didn't use much. Just once trash bag too. Also took our trash home to trash. Also, one last bit, the firewood is about 150 yards from the firepit so expect to get your steps in! Enjoy if you plan to stay at Fish Trap.

Wonderful Property, Ideal Location

Our family spent a long weekend at Fish Trap and couldn’t have had a better time. The location is ideal and the property is well maintained, extra clean and very comfortable. We loved the fire pit and hot tub, took the canoe out for a try, and spent a morning fishing at Bealers Ferry Pond, which is a few minutes away. Would highly recommend.

Accurate Description..BUT

Overall the property is as described, however the cleanliness needs a bit of work. Spider webs all inside the house , dust so thick in some places we could write our names . The hot tub water had a green hue and obvious dirt in the bottom . Grill was left dirty from prior use , canoes and life jackets had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time .

Birdwatchers Paradise

My three sisters and our sister-in-law enjoyed a long weekend at beautiful fish trap cabin. My sister-in-law is a bird watcher and we could not believe how many birds we saw in the yard and near the river. This picturesque cabin was the perfect place to stay and relax and go into Shenandoah national park and enjoy each other‘s company with plenty of space to spread out and do art and cook and relax. Cabin was very clean. The Wi-Fi is rather sketchy and so do not expect the ability to stream any movies but perfect for enjoying the company of family or friends.

Family Memories and River Fun

Our extended family (6 adults and 3 grandchildren) had a wonderful experience staying in Fish Trap and Green Castle cabins for a 3-night stay (6/20 to 6/22). The cabins were clean and well equipped for kitchen and grilling needs. The outdoor temperatures were high and the AC for both cabins kept everyone very comfortable. We enjoyed driving the short distance (1 mile) for a raft/tubing outing with Shenandoah River Outfitters - where we spent 4 hours - enjoying a gentle glide on the river with beautiful scenery - our 2 older grandchildren especially enjoyed swimming in the river (with life jackets). River access from both cabins is a bit steep - but once in the river, it was very enjoyable to wade and to fish. Our grandson caught his very first fish in front of Green Castle cabin - a moment he (and all of us) will remember with fondness forever! Communication with Laura about both cabins was very easy. For example, she processed our refund for not using fire wood very promptly. All in all, just a wonderful family experience - we highly recommend both cabins and the management team at Shenandoah Rentals.

Peaceful Spring break

Our family had a wonderful time at this cute little cabin. The property was beautiful and the communication throughout our stay was stellar. We fished a lot, explored the Luray caverns, fish, some more, add quality family time and just enjoy the beauty. Really all positive things to say. The only thing that took getting used to was the soft water in the house and the hot tub. It was very strange for us and we wish the fish were biting a bit more other than that. It was an amazing day. Thank you.

Relaxing by the river

Can't say enough good things about this property. Enough space for everyone. Nice large deck with screened in table. Nice large lawn for games and fire pit. And of course, right on the river. We will absolutely be back!

Awesome Fall Family Get Away!

We truly enjoyed our time spent at the Fish Trap, as a family we try to get away from the hustle and bustle a few times a year and take time to enjoy each other. We rented several cabins in the area and especially enjoyed Fish Trap as it was right nest door to another rental that we had also rented. Our families could walk to each other's vacation homes and therefore share the campfire pit and extra quality time together. We didn't plan on sight seeing on this trip but we did venture into Luray Caverns for an afternoon. We enjoyed our time just hanging out together and along the river. The home was very well laid out and very convenient for our family. It was very clean and enjoyable. We used the grill and enjoyed the outdoor dining. We are hoping to go back next year.
