We stayed for 4 nights with our 2 sons using this as a base to explore Tuscany including Florence, Sienna, and Pisa. It was a perfect location arriving back each evening to enjoy the pool and relax on the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Nicola was an excellent host and was there to answer any questions, make excellent recommendations and provide any services we needed.

Great Location

Great place & beautiful location. Only issue is the two bedrooms are right next to each other upstairs and you can easily hear all conversation in the other room. This is very good location if you want to be near Florence but be out of the city and enjoy the area.

Best part of the trip

Property was so beautiful, just walking around and exploring the grounds alone was great. The villa was so spacious for our group of 5 with a large outdoor space to enjoy as well. The host was awesome with THE BEST dinner and daytime suggestions. Wish we stayed longer, will definitely return!

Super Host and Fantastic Rental

Nicola was super attentive and went the extra mile to ensure we had the best stay possible stay with him. The housing was clean, comfortable, and really relaxing. His property allows you plenty of space to move around and enjoy your stay. Highly recommend this and will be back.

This property was wonderful and made us feel like we had a home in Tuscany. It was easy to drive into Florence (35 minutes), as well as numerous activities in the Tuscan region. The property manager offered great advice for restaurants, activities, and was incredibly responsive anytime we had questions. The property has its own vineyard and we took sunset strolls several times. Of course, our kids loved the pool, which we used daily after we finished our various activities out and about in the area and the city. Oh, and we were greeted with a homemade cake upon our arrival!

A nice place and innkeeper.

Overall, we had an enjoyable experience here. The grounds are lovely and Nicola, the innkeeper, is very accommodating. My primary issue is with the comfort level. The beds were the hardest mattresses I experienced in Italy and annoyingly wrapped in plastic. The lighting, especially in the kitchen, left much to be desired. It was dark for a winter stay. Peak summer would probably be fine. I hope the innkeepers will improve these things because otherwise it’s a very nice place.

Très bel endroit au calme

Nicola est un hôte très sympathique, de très bon conseil, très reactif qd on lui demande quelque chose. Une bonne adresse pour un séjour parfait, très bien situé pour visiter Florence, Sienne, Pise, Lucca, Arezzo, San Gimignano et j'en passe. Vous pouvez aussi profiter de la grande piscine. Nous recommandons cet endroit sans hésiter. Nous allions oublier de remercier l'épouse de Nicola pour le délicieux gâteau à notre arrivée.

Wir waren Anfang August mit Freunden in der hervorragend ausgestatteten Anlage "Podere Le Rondini". Die sehr saubere Wohnung wurden nach einer Woche gründlich gereinigt (desinfiziert) und war nach ein paar Stunden wieder für uns verfügbar. Auch die Fürsorge (24 Stunden) und Empfehlungen von Nicola waren beeindruckend und sind hervorzuheben. Wer sich von den diversen Weinproben oder Städtetouren erholen möchte, kann dies am sehr gepflegten Pool in der Anlage tun. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder in diese traumhafte Region der Toskana.

Great Place, highly recommended!

Nicola, the owner was very communicative. He met us out front and gave us the tour. (Perfect English). Upon arrival he also offered to take us on a tour of his vineyard and wine-making facility down the street (€10pp) which we accepted. Very cool, as we are in the industry (chefs/somms). Beautiful setting, very serene and right in the middle of Tuscany. Florence is 30min drive, perfect for a day trip (which we did) and Siena is an hour south (drove through on our way to Rome, 3hrs away). Nicola spent 20min with us explaining how to get to things using maps, including the immediate area, Florence and surrounding towns. Very informative. He recommended a few restaurant and we ate at Il Focolare--fantastic. The only thing we would change/suggest: the place is on a hill and would have incredible views, but these are blocked by trees (and not olive trees, which I could understand not cutting) that seem like they could be trimmed to allow for the view. The windows also have brick covering them (in a lattice pattern) that darkens the interior and blocks the views. Nicola runs a very organized and tight operation, we would definitely stay again!

Dear Jason and family, THANK YOU!!! We have been very happy to welcome you at our place! You have been excellent guests, very kind and very nice, and we regret that you could stay 2 nights only . Thank you for your advices, but unfortunately the windows of the cottage where you slept are protected by a Landscape Bond as part of a historic country home. So we can't change them and , on the other side, we also believe they are characteristics of the ancient Tuscan building style. I really hope to welcome you and your family here again in the future , perhaps for a longer stay, so that I can suggest you more places to visit and more activities to do in order to get a full-immersion in the Tuscan way-of-living. Ruhiges Ferienhaus in wunderschöner Lage

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Teenagern für eine Woche im Podere le Rondini. Es ist sehr schön und zentral gelegen; man ist schnell in Florenz, San Gimignano, Volterra oder auch Siena. Der Eigentümer ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat tolle Tips für Restaurants etc.. Man kann Frühstück bei ihm bestellen oder abends einen Koch kommen lassen. Außerdem kann man den hauseigenen Wein oder das Olivenöl probieren. Der Pool ist herrlich und bietet ausreichend Platz auch für alle anderen Gäste der Anlage. Alles war wie im Internet beschrieben und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Und das WLAN (Teenager!!!) funktioniert einwandfrei... Absolute Empfehlung für Familien!!!

Schöne Unterkunft mit guter Lage in der Toskana

Das Ferienhaus ist ideal für eine Familie mit vier Personen oder 2 Paare. Es ist gut ausgestattet und in zentraler Lage in der Toskana. Ein Pool lädt zum Relaxen ein. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit, hat viele gute Tipps die Toskana zu erkunden und kümmert sich um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste. Wir können die Unterkunft ausnahmslos empfehlen.

Beautiful property nestled in the Italian countryside

Nicola's property is just breathtaking. The homes are all stylishly decorated like something out of an interior design magazine, with great attention to so many delicate details. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are all updated with the most modern comforts. The pool is fantastic, sparkling clean and situated in a lovely quiet area overlooking the countryside. We had delectable croissants, coffee, and orange juice delivered to our villa in the mornings and you can request in advance for meals to be prepared for your family by a chef. Finally, the hospitality extended by Nicola and the rest of the people was just lovely. It's a wonderful place to relax and unplug. This is a great value as the price is unbelievable for everything that you receive. Of all of the places we stayed during our three weeks traveling in Greece, Italy, and France, this was our entire family's favorite. We definitely plan to return!

Absolutely Beautiful

This lovely apartment is in the hills of Italy. The view from our apartment was breathtaking. We were only there for a night; definitely wish we could have stayed longer. Our apartment was exactly as I would imagine Italy to be. It was absolutely beautiful and we couldn't get enough of the views. I wish we could have explored the grounds more. Nicola is absolutely wonderful and great to deal with. He made sure we had everything we needed and was there to greet us upon arrival. If we ever return to Italy, we will definitely be staying here again.

Exquisite Countryside Villa only 30 Minutes from Florence

We had a wonderful time here. Nicola was an amazing host even booking Uffizi museum tickets for us so we could skip the long lines. When we checked in he took the time to go over which towns to visit and the best restaurants in the area. The apartment was clean and spacious. Although there was no air conditioning, fans in the bedrooms kept us comfortable even during an unusually hot time of year. The large swimming pool was an extra bonus. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. You should also purchase some of his wines grown in the area and the oil made from olive trees on the property. Both are very reasonably priced and good quality.
