We had a wonderful stay and Mara was an excellent host. We had a couple of issues but these were dealt with straight away. Be aware that the location of the villa makes any local restaurants not within walkable distance. The views of Mount Etna from the villa are stunning, especially as we had an eruption going on during our stay!! The pool area and gardens are stunning but as a group of 5 we felt that there should have been more parasols available…I spent time around the pool chasing the shade all day, as there was only one parasol over the table…not sure how a larger party would manage? When we arrived there were only 3 sunbeds, but Mara quickly provided us with another 2 when we asked for them. On our arrival it would have been nice if there was a welcome pack for us, with essentials such as milk etc, which we have always had on our previous villa holidays. The villa is amazing, but could do with a bit of updating. Mara and her husband were always available with any issues and had them sorted straight away. We would highly recommend this villa.

It was an overall great villa with place to hang around the pool and also room for games of boule etc. Were near atractions like Etna, Taormina just a short ride with the rentalcar. We had a wonderful stay

Super six day stay in Sicily

The property was as described, very clean spacious and well located. Ideal for small group or family group. Property manager Mara was friendly and very helpful. Recommend having a car to get about and ideally located to visit other places and towns within Sicily.

A brilliant holiday venue

Just back from a week in Villa Mareneve with our family of 5 adults and 3 children. The villa is exceptional with all that you need for a family holiday. The pool was used constantly during the week, particularly useful when we had very high temperatures and good to cool off. Mara was an excellent host, we had some minor issues which were speedily resolved. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

Fantastic vacation!

We stayed in this Villa for a month. Absolutely an awesome time! Mara our caretaker was extremely helpful and always willing to guide us or translate for us when we didn’t understand. The Villa is beautiful! The pictures are very accurate. Mara’s parents made us feel very welcome too! We would definitely stay again if we visit Sicily.

Perfect villa

We had a dream week in this beautiful Sicilian villa. We were a family of 6 adults and 4 children and we were very comfortable. The gardens, swimming pool and terraces were perfect for us. The photos and descriptions are identical to reality. We were even able to observe an eruption of the Etna, visible from the villa. Thank you to our host Mara for her welcome and advice.

Wonderful Stay at Villa Mareneve

We had a fantastic stay at this villa. The villa had everything we needed and was perfect for six adults. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our meals and the patio was great for al fresco dining. The pool was a fabulous way to cool off during hot, sunny afternoons. The views of Mt Etna and the Mediterranean are amazing. Mara was an excellent host! She was responsive to all our questions and requests. There are pets (a dog and cats) on the property; Mara will restrict their visiting if you wish. We highly recommend this villa and will certainly look to stay with Mara again when we are next visiting eastern Sicily.

Great Place To Stay

We loved Villa Mareneve, and it was the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Sicily. The villa itself is spacious, clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. The bedrooms were all comfortable, the kitchen was fully outfitted, we had plenty of living space, and the pool and grounds were beautiful. Not only that, but we had a beautiful view of Mt. Etna from our patio and the villa is centrally located to great spots like Taormina, Siracusa, Etna, beaches, and other sites. Mara, the caretaker/owner, was terrific and was always available if we needed restaurant or touring suggestions or if we had any requests or questions. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults, and could have comfortably fit more. Our only complaints: the front door is a bit tricky to open (but fine once you learn the trick) and only 7 hours per day of air conditioning is included, though you can purchase additional hours for a reasonable fee. Highly recommended, and many thanks to Mara for helping us experience a truly wonderful vacation.

A Month in Santa Venerina

Exactly as advertised, beautiful property hidden away behind two electronic gates. The villa was as advertised and was an oasis. Mara, our host, was perfect. She was quick to respond to our needs and went far above what would be expected. One of our guest got sick and Mara arranged medical treatment for her. The living conditions were more than adequate although we would have liked a few swiffers at a couple of points of our stay!! There was a washer (which we used every day but no dryer) clothes were hung out to dry and came in with an amazing smell. The stove and oven were small but they were seldom used by us. Plenty of restaurants in the town and all throughout Sicily. Bottom line, Mara and the Villa were a "Once in a Lifetime" experience!!! We would highly recommend Villa Mareneve to everyone!!

Idéalement situé, ultra confort

La maison est idéalement située entre la mer et l'Etna. Proche de Catane. Facilement accessible grâce à l'autoroute. La maison est très bien conçue, spacieuse et chaleureuse. Le jardin est un écrin de verdure. Un lieu où il est agréable de vivre de passer d'excellentes vacances. Nous conseillons vivement la villa de Mara. Celle-ci est très agréable, discrète et disponible. Merci à elle pour son accueil et pour le soin apporté au confort de notre groupe.

La villa est en retrait de la route dans un bel écrin de verdures. Les chambres sont confortables, le séjour spacieux et le jardins très agréables avec ses plantes gigantesques divers et variés. Mara, la propriétaire est des plus sympathiques. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Tolle Lage, aber innen nur begrenzt gut.

Wunderbare Lage. Spülmaschine funktionierte nicht richtig. Vorgefundenes Geschirr nicht sauber. Herd nur begrenzt brauchbar. Nachttischlampen ohne stromabschluss. Wohnzimmer zugleich Eingang. Aber bei gutem Wetter ist das Haus wunderbar und es liegt traumhaft. Pool sehr schön. Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit.
