Great location right by the beach. The house had pretty much everything needed for a fun beach stay.

Terrific location!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is perfect for 4 couples so that each couple has their own room. We had 5 couples, which was a little cozy. The location is fantastic - very close to the beach. We enjoyed the front porch. Would be even better if there was a back patio.

Perfect get away spot

Amazing experience with this host and property. The house looks just like the pics of not better. We arrived much earlier than expected and the host was very communicative and accommodating to us. It is just a brisk walk away from the beach. We had an excellent experience here

Labor Day wet

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend the house was as advertised and clean. A short walk to the beach and park which the kids loved. The area was a little sketchy tho we walked to a near by restaurant and had to walk thru metal detectors to get in but other then that it was a great stay.

Relaxing weekend

Nice, quiet neighborhood. Everybody that we ran into in the area was very friendly and helpful. Beach is not as crowded as a lot of VA beaches are in the area and the playground was great to have so nearby. If you decide to go and you like seafood definitely try Coasters which is right around the corner. Cool little beach restaurant and super kid friendly. The house had a nice front porch which was very relaxing to hang out on. Pretty good deal if you’re looking for an out of the way, off the beaten path, relaxing place to be near the beach.

Good location - walking distance to the beach

This place is walking distance to the beach. The place was clean and was well equip with necessary things. We had a little concern about our neighbor next door as it's a duplex since it appear that they were having a party HOWEVER there were no issue with noise. We didn't even hear their music once we got it inside therefore we were able to rest w/o issues. The rooms were as display in the pics. My family of 5 had no issue with space and enjoy the place. Overall great experience.

Property was very clean and have good stuff inside but it didn't meet expectations.

When I reached the property the big disappointment was it was divided into house you have a smaller please to live in. When entered in the property I was atleast happy looking at it cleanliness and overall amenities. But sooner the impression changed. Sleeping beds were not comfortable, mattress were making noice, air conditioner was not cooling bedroom and other floors, a lot of bees were there, internet was also very poor. It's not worth the money I spent.

Good access to attractions

We wanted a quiet place where we could enjoy the beach but be able to do day trips to the nearby attractions like Jamestown, Yorktown and Busch gardens. This was perfect--clean and spacious for a family of 5 with room to do movie and game nights. Kitchen had all we needed and was well organized. Would recommend!

Beautiful Home

We stayed for an extended weekend and this was a great home to stay in. Just a short walk to The beach and to a convenience. Communication with the owner was a little hairy, but other than that it was amazing. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

Overall Good Stay

I rented Lynn’s beautiful home last minute and overall the stay was amazing. The property management stayed in communication the entire time and even when we got a louder than allowed, they worked with us and made our stay enjoyable. We did leave earlier than booked, but I would recommend if you are looking for a QUIET place to enjoy the scenery and local beach. I would not recommend however if you have a larger group and tend to be louder than most (such as my group) as it may disturb the neighbors.

Clean and comfy

The property was clean and comfortable. We had enough room for everybody in our family. The furniture choice in the second floor room can be upgraded it wasn’t comfortable to sleep in there but we had our air mattress and used it instead of the owner’s. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

A quiet family get away

We were being reunited with our son after 7 months of Navy boot camp and travel. This house was clean and well equipped. The beach area is private and way less chaos than VA beach. If you’re looking for the traditional beach boardwalk with lots of attractions, this isn’t your jam but it was perfect for our family to reconnect and enjoy a peaceful and beautiful beach.

Good but not the greatest place to stay

The listing said it had 4 bedrooms, when it actually has 3 rep bedrooms with door. There were only 2 real beds. The other 2 were bedsofás and really old and uncomfortable. The living room and kitchen were really nice. It had everything you need. But a storm happened and we had no electricity or air conditioning for a full day and a half. We were not able to cook or charge anything. And it was really hot. It says it’s for 10 people but I honestly think it could only fit 8. Only the master bedroom was nice the rest of the rooms were not at all. The stairwell going to the third room has a few nails coming out you are going to feel if you walk barefoot.

Perfect beach house

The house is clean and beautiful. There is everything you need in the house to cook if you want to. Only 2 blocks from a beautiful and quite beach. And only 35 minutes from Virginia Beach. Will definitely recommend.

Not Enough Beds for 8 -10 Adults

The home was not quite what we expected - comfortable accommodations for 8 adults and 4 kids (12 and under). The broken sleeper and the air mattress replacement was not adequate for one adult couple (air mattress leaked air after laying on it within 10 mins). We had to keep inflating it over night. And the futon in the loft was not comfortable enough for the second adult couple. We had to result to driving over night (1.5 hrs) to Petersburg, VA to a couples house to accommodate our 3rd and 4th couple. No hotel accommodations in area because of the 4th of July celebration weekend. The kids remained with us in the house (futons and addition air mattress brought by family.
