Soyez l'un des premiers invités à réserver ici! Complètement rénové aux goujons l'été dernier! Nouveaux comptoirs de cuisine, armoires, planchers de bois, nouvelle salle de bains étincelante, 2 chambres à coucher, nouvelle salle de lavage, patio, barbecue et fontaine avec des ormes, des trembles et des peupliers! Les colibris et les pinsons adorent ça et vous aussi! Si réservé, consultez nos autres propriétés au # 883663 et une cabane en rondins au # 889880!
Le lit principal Serta est ferme et haut avec des oreillers sans allergène, des housses d'oreiller et une literie en coton. Des canapés en cuir dans le salon et deux fauteuils à bascule ajoutent au confort pour regarder la télévision ou lire. Il y a Internet haut débit et WiFi. Les comptoirs sont magnifiques dans la cuisine et les nouvelles armoires en pin sont remplies de plats de cuisson et de plats de service. Nous avons l'air conditionné pour les moments où l'air des montagnes ne suffit pas.

Si la Casita est réservée, veuillez visiter nos deux autres propriétés: un cottage étincelant n ° 88663 et une authentique cabane en rondins de 1 chambre à coucher - n ° 889880.

Les animaux domestiques ne sont autorisés qu'avec l'autorisation du propriétaire.
Les oiseaux et les animaux sauvages visitent régulièrement la Casita et la propriété. Vous y verrez donc de nombreux colibris, chardons jaunes, nénuphars, sittelles à poitrine blanche, mésanges genévrier, corbeaux et dernièrement un crécerole, quand les corbeaux ne le chassent pas! Nous venons d'ajouter une boîte à hibou et une boîte à chauve-souris à la propriété! La javelina passe environ tous les soirs, en plus nous avons vu un coyote et des ratons laveurs.

Nous sommes situés à 6 km du centre-ville dans un quartier situé sur une longue voie de 1. 25 acres. Il y a un pré et Miller Creek, quand il fonctionne. L'épicerie de Fry est à quelques rues de là.

Nous sommes agréés, inspectés et conformes à la ville. Nous avons des extincteurs, des détecteurs de monoxyde de carbone, des détecteurs de fumée et une trousse de premiers soins.
Prescott a une ordonnance sur le bruit de 22 heures à 8 heures. Nous n'autorisons pas les fêtes ou les événements.
Les animaux domestiques sont parfois autorisés avec leur permission, un contrat pour animaux de compagnie signé et des frais pour ce dernier.

Awww, thank you! Glad you enjoyed the location. Yes, we agree. It's close to shopping, restaurants, trails and the Courthouse Square, without the chaos of downtown. And I love all the Meadow seating and birds to watch. I actually saw a Marmot down by the creek this week! First one I've seen. We scared each other and he ran down the creek bed. He looked like a very large, very fat squirrel with a long, fluffy tail and a groundhog's face! They hibernate in winter. Thanks again for staying at Prescott Hideaway! Come back again. The host David was wonderful! So helpful and accomodating. The Casita is a true home away from home! Everything you could want was there and even some things you didnt know you needed! Beautiful little trail and garden walking area, loved the grill and patio area. Such a nice place to just relax and feel comfortable. All the amenities you could want. Highly recommend!

Thank you for saying it's Clean and Quiet. We pride ourselves on paying a Living wage to our Housekeepers and devoting 3-4 hours for each cleaning. In the Remodel, Dave put in all new Insulation and Double-paned Windows to keep the home quiet and well-insulated. Glad you enjoyed the secluded patio! Dave built the wall, pergola and put up the sails last year. He also put in a Heater for the cooler weather! Thank you also for your kind words about us. Please visit Prescott Hideaway again! What an amazing property! We visited in early october and the weather was lovely. I'd love to see it at different times throughout the year ro see all the critters running around.The hosts were wonderful and checked in with us during our stay to ensure all was well.The beds could use some updating in the casita property, but everything else was stellar.Thanks to Dave and Karen

Love your words "amazing" and "Stellar"! Yes, October weather is fabulous with all the leaves changing color! Most of the critters come out at night. We have anti-gravity chairs in the Meadow if you want to take a flashlight out and watch the stars and comets. One Guest has a Skunk with 2 babies walk by her! It just kept going but gave the Guest a scare! On our critter cam we've seen javelinas, deer, coyotes, raccoons, skunks and hawks. They like to drink from the trough. Last week I saw what I think is a Marmot! When I saw it I thought, "That is One Fat Squirrel!" It was a lot bigger than a squirrel, with a long, very fluffy tail and a face like a groundhog! We scared each other along the creekbed and it took off running. I've never seen a Marmot! I read up and they hibernate during the winter months. Thank for your comment on the bed. We're looking into that. It's such a subjective thing. A Guest before you loved the bed! Thank you and Please come back again!

Everything in the house was nice. We didn't like or realize it was so close to the road with lots of traffic. We were not left alone to enjoy the place to ourselves and there was no yard for our dogs (which we did know) but it still made the stay difficult for us.Other than that it was nice!

We're So glad you thought the house was nice. Dave did the complete remodel with blown-in insulation and double-paned windows. We also put in a stucco wall around the front of the Casita and the 1.25 acres. When we were on the property, Dave was in the Meadow cleaning up branches after a storm, doing fall maintenance and trying to control gophers! I was restocking the shed with supplies when I met you and the pups. We had a brief, pleasant chat. At one point, Dave asked you if you could keep your 3 dogs from barking. It's a sensitive topic since we don't want to make you mad but we have neighbors who could shut down our business. VRBO is our livelihood and primary income. Dave later apologized and told you he didn't mean the dogs couldn't be outside. In 9 years we've only had one other fair review rating out of nearly 200 reviews. Hopefully other potential renters will take that into consideration. Thank you. Karen and Dave

Hosts were great. Attentive and friendly. The place was clean, comfortable (the bed was very co. Great mattress and comfy sheets. Best of any VRBO so far. Not a complaint just a note for anyone tall or big is the space between the walls and the bed is very tight. Shower was hot and powerful. Patio and garden was nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Would recommend staying here. Enjoyed it

We use high thread count cotton, sometimes microfiber in the summer and Flannel in the Winter. We leave an extra set in the laundry room. We're so happy you enjoyed the brand NEW Shower! Dave just put that in 2 weeks ago! The Casita was built in the 40's, ergo the lower ceilings in the bedroom, but we still wanted a Queen bed in there. Yes, People were shorter then!!! Thank you for staying with us and please come back again!

Fantastic stay, owners great at thinking about the little things

Stayed with my partner and our dog. Owners did a great job communicating with us on check-in procedure and and went above and beyond with local hiking and food recommendations (food was incredible!). The cabin was cozy and we were impressed with the owners considerations of the small details. Would definitely visit again!

We were delighted with the cottage for our 7 day stay in Sept. The description in the listing lives up to everything we found while there. Obvious quality in everything from furniture, linens, décor, and grounds. You can tell Dave has experience as a bldg contractor! Grounds are well lit at night and shaded by day. Creek is nice but seasonal. Easy access to downtown Prescott. Frys grocery close by. Cabin is well insulated from street noise and even the Yavapai County Fair nearby did not distrub us. Great hosts. Great value. Pet friendly. Already reserved our next trip!

Perfect location near downtown Prescott

We were in Prescott for my youngest child’s college graduation. And the casita was just right for us. It was close to everything we needed to get to, had all the confits of home and so many thoughtful special details to make our stay extra comfortable. We loved every day we got to spend there and would highly recommend a stay at Karen and Dave’s quiet little oasis near the town center.

We purchased the property in 2016 with the help of the previous owners who'd owned it for nearly 40 years! Dave and I are both in Housing: Construction and Sales. With both of us self-employed in the housing industry we lost about everything (except each other!) in the crash. After business losses, bankruptcy, IRS audit, short sale and deaths in the family, we moved to Prescott, nearly on a whim. We rented from another couple we just met who believed in us and loaned us the down payment for this parcel of land. We started thinking about the possibilities of such a cute property and did a little work on the Log Cabin but tried to keep it mostly intact, even with its funky fixes by other owners and tenants. We renovated the Cottage down the lane in a big way (#883663), opening the floor plan and adding a garden.
The Log Cabin appears to have been owned (and possibly built) by a man who was a piano tuner and salesman. His wife worked as a bookkeeper for an attorney. They had one daughter who eventually taught dance in Los Angeles but returned to Prescott to care for her father in his last days and bury him in the local cemetery next to his wife (researched at Sharlot Hall Museum).

We really liked the location near the Fairgrounds and Downtown (but not too close) and the seasonal creek. With all the large elms, locusts and cottonwoods, we knew we wanted to preserve and improve upon this little park-like setting. The owners were thrilled with our vision and were finally able to part with it, knowing we would be good stewards to the land and the creek which adds to the water supply in Prescott.

Dave had a great vision for the Casita and did most of the work himself. It was a long, expensive haul! We originally thought we would decorate it in a Mexican motif. My vision came later with a Native American theme to honor the indigenous people of the West. We enjoyed furnishing meeting people and buying from their personal collections and from auctions, antique stores, yard sales, thrift stores and estate sales. It's so wonderful to see so many works of art, antiques and collectibles and remember the people and stories that go with them. It's been heartwarming, magical and humbling to repurpose someone else's beloved or handmade items!
