Relax at this peaceful cottage in the tall pines of the Prescott National Forest. Fully equipped eat in kitchen. 2 bedrooms with queen beds and TV's. For adventurers, you are only minutes away from endless activities. Goldwater lake and it's many trails are less than a mile south. Head 3 miles north to discover endless shopping, the courthouse square, and historic Whiskey Row. Bucky's Casino is also a short drive away. We also have a Jeep rental on property. ***Please note this is a small 3 bedroom house but ***only 2 bedrooms are accessible*** and there is also no access to the garage. This is our 2nd home and our personal belongings are locked in the 3rd bedroom and garage. ***

Great place to stay

Perfect location for us to do some Arizona exploration. Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, cliff side dwellings, Wickenberg were all an easy drive from the property. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped to suit out needs.

Great place

Perfect place to stay for our nephews wedding in Prescott. Very easy to find, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed hanging out, playing cards at the kitchen table in the evenings listening to music and having a fire in the fireplace. Would stay here again for sure.

Quick Cool Get Away From Southern Arizona Heat

We absolutely loved our stay, clean, cozy, quiet and perfectly situated for both adventure and relaxation, with easy access to hikes and lakes and downtown.The house had everything we needed. Loved the kitchen. In short, this getaway delivered everything we hoped for. I highly recommend it, would definitely stay again

We really enjoyed the Oak Knoll Cottage. It is a nice home, that is nicely decorated, located in a nice area. We loved being in the trees. There is a road behind/above the house but cars are not going by constantly so the noise wasn't a big deal. There area is peaceful since it's out of town a few miles. The bed was comfortable, and the flannel sheets were cozy for a chilly weekend. We enjoyed a walk in the neighborhood, but the streets are hills/inclines and not a flat area. But we didn't mind the extra workout. There is a lake not too far away that you can enjoy. The only thing we were very disappointed about was the fireplace not working. We were there for a Valentine's weekend and the fireplace would have been nice for the chilly weekend. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. We'd probably stay again.

We are so sorry the batteries in the fireplace control died, we usually have spare batteries on hand. I did offer to bring new batteries when troubleshooting the problem with your husband. I do hope you will stay with us again and let us make it right.

Perfect in Prescott

This property is in a perfect, peaceful location right on the border of the Prescott National Forest straight up Senator’s Highway, only a few minutes drive from both the town center and Goldwater Lake. The house is exactly as pictured and described, incredibly well equipped, very comfortably furnished, and an excellent place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again on future trips to Prescott.

Easy access and check-in. Clean, cute and new cottage with large driveway - was able to fit my truck and trailer with ATV in driveway. Owner was communicative and nice. Would stay here again.

Let us share our story and our home with you

Our dream came from a humble beginning. We love outdoor recreation and started out tent camping. We upgraded to a truck tent and later a pop up camper. As the years went on we wanted more luxuries while outdoors (like a shower and a toilet) so we got a travel trailer. For years we searched for a more permanent place to park our trailer during the summer and enjoy the outdoors. After many travels and considerations we settled on Prescott. You will find the neighbors are very friendly - no they are not being nosy when they stop by to say hi! If you ever have a problem during your stay and call on us, it is likely one of them will show up for the assist. In 2016 Andrea's sister and her husband moved back to Prescott, and live just two miles up the road. They really helped to make the decision of putting down roots here easy. For years we looked for property but never found the right location, too far from town, not enough trees, an HOA, etc. But then we found this lot, we immediately saw the potential! It has been a long journey but it has finally come to fruition. The plan is to make this our primary residence someday. As it turns out, retirement is still a few years away so we have decided to open our home to you. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
