We stayed at Red Gate Terrace for 3 weeks and we loved it. It is so much more spacious than the photos show. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The shower is excellent and there are loads of towels. The washing machine came in very handy. We had a couple of cold mornings and the heating was brilliant, it warmed the house in minutes. The location was fabulous. There are 2 tram lines within minutes walking. There are cafes,shops,restaurants also within minutes walk. Try Glory Us the cafe. The coffee, food and staff are lovely. We could not recommend this house or host enough. We are looking forward to our next stay.

I’ve never had a rental like this— home is gorgeously decorated, scrupulously maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need — including some bits for breakfast or a snack when you first arrive!Daniel and Glenn’s are superb hosts! The property is in a hip neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and pubs, a supermarket that stocks everything, and man tram lines are a 5-10 minute walk.

Red Gate is beautifully presented , warm and welcoming home. It has everything you could want for a comfortable stay ..with many amenities within short walking distance , including my favourite Standing Room just around the corner.

A beautiful charming house in great neighbourhood

We were charmed by this beautiful house, delighted with the neighbourhood and grateful to host Daniel for the thoughtful pantry provisions and beautiful welcome flowers. Communication with STAYZ was a little clunky but with Daniel it was effortless and our stay at Red Gate Terrace was a total pleasure.

Wonderful place!

The place is beautiful, convenient and well-stocked. It's a lovely area. We really, truly loved staying there. Daniel is a great host. Generous and welcoming. And fast to respond to any question. The house is a peaceful, elegant place, beautifully designed and decorated yet comfortable and liveable. We were there for several weeks, and everything was right from start to finish, from closet and dresser space to water pressure to the mattress to the kitchen/pantry to the wifi, from laundry to the little back yard to the art. As others have said, location = amazing. A couple of minutes to walk to a great grocery store, cafes, bars, you name it. But at night, all you hear is quiet. (We slept so well!) We would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend Red Gate Terrace house.

Perfect Oasis for a Week in Melbourne

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Gate Terrace! From prompt responses to my questions leading up to our trip, to the fresh bread in the kitchen when we arrived, to sending me a forgotten pair of earrings in the mail... Daniel went above and beyond to make our stay impeccable. We loved the antique fixtures, well-appointed kitchen, and modern bathroom. The electric heating pads on the bed were perfect for chilly winter nights, and we liked the bed linens so much that we bought matching cloth napkins as a souvenir at David Jones'. But the best part was the neighborhood. We had multiple good grocery stores, restaurants, wine bars, art galleries, gift shops, and tram line stops all within a 5 minute walk. Despite its proximity to all this, it was always quiet in the house. It was a perfect oasis for remote work and a convenient home base to explore the city.

Perfect way to enjoy Melbourne like a "native"

This rental has to be one of the greatest bargains of all time. You get a full terrace house with a fully-stocked kitchen (i.e., tools, appliances, flatware, etc), a fenced-in backyard, laundry, tv room, and an one dining room and sitting room, plus full bath (separate tub and shower). House is just thoughtfully curated, with extra bathroom things (skin cream, sun screen, Q-tips, etc.) North Fitzroy is a REALLY nice neighborhood, filled with cafes, pubs, and restaurants (Italian, Singaporean, Thai, Indian, Middle Eastern, standard Aussie,the list goes on), one big gourmet supermarket and one natural foods supermarket, ice cream parlor (with vegan choices!), a bookstore, and two major tram lines. People are friendly and helpful--we just had a blast. Cannot wait to return! Price per night MORE than fair!

Look No Further!

Red Gate Terrace is honestly the best property I have ever stayed in. It by far exceeded any expectations. The owners kindly left breakfast goodies in the fridge, the location is in perfect proximity to all the restaurants and shops of Fitzroy, the tram lines and the quaint downtown of Fitzroy North. If you’re looking for a perfect place to stay for a solo or romantic holiday, this is your gem!

Bliss at Red Gate

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Red Gate Terrace. Daniel and Glenny's hospitality was second to none. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we wished we could have move in permanently. Memorable Stay

This is a beautifully appointed delightful home. Every effort has been made to ensure your comfort from a heavenly bed bed to generous breakfast supplies. Although Melbourne turned on the freeze for a couple of unseasoned Queenslanders the house was warm and inviting. Fantastic inner city retreat

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Red Gate Terrace. This attached inner city cottage is very comfortable, spacious, well located and full of character. The owners were incredibly generous with breakfast supplies and even provided fresh flowers and chocolates for us to enjoy. Staying in a property like this beats being at a motel or hotel any day. I got an authentic taste of Melbourne inner city life and what it would be like to be a local of North Fitzroy. There is nothing to fault here and I can honestly say that I would be happy to return.

Perfect home away from home...

Had such a lovely stay here-a beautiful, comfortable, well kept home with lots of nice touches to make the visit easy and enjoyable. Owners were lovely to deal with. Close to trams, city, great shops and parks and restaurants. Highly recommend and will likely re-visit.
