Clean and comfortable. Some concerns with lack of railing on deck and steps and step down to dining area as there were 5 elderly people staying. All in all a perfectly acceptable property. The short walk to the beach was enjoyed by our dogs and family.

Home was comfortable, made so with the dishwasher, good reverse cycle heating and smart tv, however the wooden steps at front and side had no hand rails and with the foggy mornings the steps were very slippery. Very easy to fall and fracture a hip from side steps onto concrete drive if elderly, like we both are.

Very comfortable accommodation

This property was very comfortable with a nice big yard for our dog. WiFi and Foxtel were an added bonus. We would happily stay here again.

Convenient and tidy

We had a great stay with our two pups! The home had everything we needed, lots of space for the pups to run around in the fully secured yard.

Perfect for a pet stay

This house is in a gorgeous location, with a fenced garden which was ideal for our two dogs. Our two children also loved playing in the garden. Close proximity to the off leash beach which was so handy.

Great Property and Fantastic Location

Mel was very responsive and the house was in a great location. We had our Great Danes with us for 2 nights and they loved the home. Only 5 minutes away from the main area. Lots of dog friendly parks and beaches around! Thanks for having us :)

A lovely place to stay

We could not be happier with this property. All interactions with the host owner have been warm, friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to ensure we had a positive experience. The property is clean and neat, in an excellent location and quiet neighbourhood. You will not regret booking!

Red Rocks getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The property was in line with our expectations. The rooms were clean and Foxtel was a bonus. The only minor irritation was there was no soap provided for the showers.

Quiet getaway spot

Cute house has all the basics & well equipped. Close to the beach (8-10 mins walk), short drive to shops/town centre, leafy green fenced in property. Good having foxtel & kitchen + dining great for cooking & entertaining.

Wonderful Family Stay

We stayed at Red Rocks Cottage for a 'Fathers Day' weekend and had a wonderful time. My teenage daughters appreciated the free wifi, the dog was happy to be inside with us and we all enjoyed the walks to / along the nearby beach. Mel was very responsive and easy to deal with. There are open paddocks and bush land nearby containing heaps of wildlife.

Great little beach house

The property was true to the pictures provided. A cosy house with aircon and a comfy beach feel. We stayed in the main house. The yard was secure for pets and the view from the front veranda is lovely. There is a great strip of beach at the end of the road, perfect for a walk or a swim. Loved it!

Great for a night

Easy communication. Tidy and reasonably clean. Couches a little old and tired but comfortable. Place could do with a few more blankets possibly but having the heat system made up for that so no problem. Overall, good for us as we were only staying the one night and so it worked well. Easy to get access to and great location for penguin viewing etc.

We thought we had booked a 3 bedroom house but it was a 2 bedroom with a locked bungalow! We thought there was a dog smell and that the spare blankets had dog hair on them! It was fairly cold in the bedrooms. We should have been told not to park on the lawn because we got bogged!

Hi Andrew, Thank you for your review. This listing very clearly states that there is a 2 bedroom house and a bunglalow. As you were a couple with 1 son it was maybe wrongly assumed that the 2 bedroom house would suit your family, if you needed the bungalow for whatever reason you only needed to ask. Like everywhere we have had an anormous amount of rain and yes the lawn is wet, although I would have thought you could see that or maybe walked on it first. There is plenty of space in the driveway for 2 to 3 cars so it is not necessay to park on the lawn. This is also listed as a pet friendly property although as there is no carpet would have thought it smells pretty fresh, I will however have the spare blankets looked at for sure. Kind regards, Mel.

All good.

The Good: Fully-fenced yard for dog. Mostly clean, though ceiling fan in bathroom and mesh vent in toilet probably should have been dusted several months ago. Nice location, within walking distance to beach where dogs may go off-lead. Strong wi-fi signal was appreciated after experiencing other rentals where it felt like we were on dial-up most of the time. The Not So Good: Noise from neighbouring property. Thin walls and only 1.5m separating the properties meant we could hear the conversations and footsteps across wooden floors at 1:30am.
