Une fois que vous ĂȘtes arrivĂ©, rangez les clĂ©s de la voiture et dirigez-vous vers la plage, les Ă©piceries haut de gamme, les magasins et une toute nouvelle bibliothĂšque.

A fantastic experience all around. The hosts, Phil and Julie, were extremely easy to interact with and were accommodating. The property is in great shape (and clean), and has everything you need. Our kids had a blast with the ping pong table. The location is great - walkable to 'downtown' New Buffalo and the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great cozy place, perfect location! Three gals on a long weekend. We each had our own room and bathroom. Kitchen nicely stocked. Easy walk to beach, shops, restaurants and grocery store. Do yourself a favor and have a meal at Brewster’s and sit on the patio. It was our favorite!

Beautiful home and place to visit. Our hosts, Julie and Phil communicated well, were accessible and available. The home was perfect for our group of 8, providing a great common area, and private rooms and floor levels to retreat to. The location is within a short walking distance to all amenities. The welcome bottle of wine and snacks were a hit also! The hosts also provided local suggestions for shops, restaurants and things to do in the area, which was appreciated. We would most definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed everything about our week-long vacation at the Gecko Cottage. Phil and Julie's home was comfortable, well-stocked and had more than enough room for our crew of 4 adults and 2 young kids. The location is superb. We easily walked or biked to the beach as well as the shops, restaurants, grocery store and library in the adorable downtown area of New Buffalo. It's also a great home base for exploring other towns and activities in SW Michigan. We were able to find a pick-your-own blueberry farm just a 10-minute drive away. The kids and adults alike loved taking advantage of the nearby pool as well. Phil and Julie were wonderful hosts and communicators. We would highly recommend a stay at the Gecko Cottage!

This cozy, yet spacious, house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a family vacation. We loved our stay. My favorite is the large couch and dining room table near the kitchen. Everyone was able to lounge, play games, and snack. Mornings were perfect on the front porch! Thank you for a fabulous stay- the hosts have really thought of everything!

Great Family Vacation Home

This home was great for our mini-vacation! Three floors of accommodations provided room to spread out for the three generations on our trip. House was very clean, had everything we needed, and was in a great location! Owners were super easy to work with and responded quickly and even accommodated our special request. Thank you! Chill Bachelorette

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights, for a chill bachelorette weekend getaway. We had so much fun, and the house was the perfect size, we each had our own space plus great gathering rooms when we played games or just sat around and chatted. The porches were wonderful, and we loved the walkability to essentials and other parts of town. Great hosts, would definitely recommend!!

It was a wonderful stay at the Gecko Cottage. The home is charming and well-appointed, with lots of places for both kids and adults to hang out. It’s super close to New Buffalo center but also off the beaten path and feels quiet. Pool and beach toys in garage are a plus. Thanks Julie and Phil!

Welcome. We camped and vacationed in the New Buffalo area with our family for over 20 years. Finally we took the plunge and got a place of our own to enjoy with our kids, grandkids, and of course to share with you, our beloved guests.

Phil, water person, is happiest in and around water., May-October he enjoys long swims in the lake every day. He has taught sailing and sailed on Lakes Erie, Huron, Michigan, Superior and in the Mediterranean.

He's an avid biker. Pick out one of our bikes, old but trusty, and use it as the best way to get around town, get exercise and enjoy the lake air. If you love boats, stroll the huge marina, and partake of the excellent, but a bit pricey, marina resturants.

Julie loves long walks on the beach, bicycling and the fact that you can do everything without having to get into a car.
Always the teacher, she's all about books & community, and loves the library.

We're Michiganders from Ann Arbor and love helping you plan your trip, so ask away. We'll do what we can to make this a memorable stay.

A quiet place to relax, within a short walk to everything.

The enjoy we hanging out and our cottage friends and the opportunity to host great people!

There's a pool and shopping, dining and of course the wonderful library & beach within a short walk.

The kitchen is well equipped, roomy and spotless with an open plan everyone will enjoy.

Coffee maker and French Press. Paninni Grill and Popcorn maker. It's ready for fun.

Park the car (or come by train) and forget it 'til you leave. Barneys, a well stocked grocery, is only a block away. Comfort convenient by the big lake. What could be better?

Easy bike trip or drive through Harbor Country to Warren Dunes and the peacefulness of the Lake Michigan shoreline & towns. We've recently discovered a bike path which is completely on back roads. Ask us!
Stop for antiquing, coffee and sandwiches on the way. Maybe bike to wine tasting the next day.

We love it here because the water is warmer than further north and Its quick to get to. Having Amtrak to Ann Arbor or Chicago, or hourly South Shore Line Trains to Millenium Plaza in Chicago is a real bonus.

We've been vacationing in the New Buffalo area with our family for almost 20 year. Finally we have a place of our own here to enjoy and to share with our guests.
