Le paradis sur terre sur la rivière Shenandoah



Détendez-vous dans notre cabine récemment rénovée et profitez de tous les conforts de la maison tout en étant entourés par la beauté de la rivière Shenandoah et des montagnes. Bien que ce soit un refuge parfait pour deux personnes, il peut accueillir jusqu'à sept personnes avec ses trois chambres joliment décorées.

Chaque chambre ainsi que la salle de séjour et Loft sont équipées d'une télévision, un lecteur DVD, et Direct TV. La cabine se trouve sur 1. 5 acres de terrain plat avec accès à la rivière et nous avons inclus un canot, deux kayaks et deux tubes pour votre plaisir. Après une journée sur la rivière ou de la randonnée à travers la proximité Forêt nationale de GW, se détendre dans le bain à remous 6 personne sous les étoiles ou jouer au billard, air hockey et jeux de société dans les chambres spacieuses de jeu, ou simplement s'asseoir en face d'un feu de cheminée . Découvrez par vous-même pourquoi nous appelons notre cabine "Le paradis sur terre".

Veuillez noter que les animaux de compagnie sont acceptés au paradis sur terre. Cependant, ils doivent peser plus de 20 livres et vous devez présenter un certificat de vaccination antirabique en cours.

We had a nice long weekend getaway at Heaven on Earth. The host was responsive and I appreciated that she accepted us on such short notice. The king bed was very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with basic cookware essentials, just the right amount that you’d need to cook simple family meals. However, I do agree with another reviewer, I believe it’s time to replace some of the heavily scratched non-stick pans. The hot tub was incredible in 11 degree and below weather! The heating system in the house worked very very well. This was important to our family during these cold temps since we have young children. I will note for future guests with babies- the high chair is more meant for toddlers (no straps or tray). Had I known this I would have just brought my own, but no biggie. The cabin is a little dated but has a very cozy charm! My 3 year old, who very fond of her own home, said “I really like staying at this place”.

Cabin was in a wonderful location! We enjoyed the tranquility and peace. I loved the DVD collection although I couldn't find a DVD player that worked LOL Plenty of firewood for beautiful bonfires! The hot tub needs a lift assist for the cover. Could only use half of the hot tub. Would come back again for sure!!

Location was nice. Cleaning service needs to clean the hanging light's over kitchen table (very dirty) upstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable. Pool table needs updating. Hot tub was set at 109 very hot & only 1 seat had jets that worked. Check in was easy, nice yard, quiet area.

It was okay. Wish the game console worked, the pool table/cues were in sad, sad shape. Over grown trail to the river. The views were nice and the neighborhood was quiet. It was easy to find and get to things.

Heaven on earth

The place was ok. We have stayed at many places and for the price is not worth it. There is a serious wasp problem which needs to be addressed. No bug zappers which are also desperately needed. At night the sliding doors were covered in so many bugs. We had to go to our car to have a smoke. Every window in the place was filthy. You would think the property manager would clean the windows before someone stays. The house is pretty on the inside but the steps are very high. No bathroom upstairs for the main bedroom. The game roo. Was nice but the game system didn't work and the air hocky table is beat up and only half the air blows out. The temp would not go below 74 degrees even though i tried to set it at 66 so it was hot. The beds are terrible. Only 15 minute drive though from Luray. Overall it was the worst place we have stayed. If you are paying 330 per night we would expect mu h better. We have stayed other places for less and were beautiful. When we got there we rrad their handbook and it said we shouldn't stream any movies because wifi is expensive. Sorry but that was never mentioned in the booking so we ignored it. We were there for 8 days and were not going to watch reruns of carol burnet or storage wars and not stream movies. The pictures are very deceiving. The house is no where near as secluded as they make it seem. I rarely leave a bad review but others deserve to know what they are paying for. We found out the hard way.

Perfect getaway spot

Very pleased with this place and will definitely book again. Place was very clean and ready to go. Hot tub was perfectly clean and prepped. A ton of good firewood. Cute landscaping around the outside. Plenty of kitchenware to make you feel at home. Very relaxing and enough privacy were it felt like a perfect getaway.

Perfect little getaway

This was a great cabin just a short drive from Luray. We were looking for somewhere to get away with our older teens, and this cabin hit the spot with its hot tub, pool table and air hockey. The horseshoe pit was also enjoyed. Each person having their own room was a big plus as well, as they usually end up sharing a room when we go away. Having two full bathrooms was great and access to the washer dryer was appreciated (especially the dryer so we could dry swimwear). We really loved the beautiful view of the river from the deck and took advantage of the grill. Having access to walk along the river was awesome. The biggest thing I appreciated was that the price included 4 people before charging for extra!! A lot of the cabins I looked at charged extra past two people. Great cabin, great location. Highly recommend.

Hornets

We arrived to the location on friday night, everything was great, grilled some steaks (grille was a bit dirty, we used a skillet we brought on the grille). Overall, not a bad first night. Saturday morning, we were hanging out when we noticed about 5 hornets on the windows (interior) of the cabin. We called, a person came out and disposed of those hornets, but due to uncertainty if there could be more, we decided to leave. We had an individual with us that is allergic, and we didn't want to risk anything. Requested a refund for the 2 nights we wouldn't be staying due to the concern regarding the hornets, and we were told that it would not be refunded due to it not being the cabin's fault that the hornets were in the house. I feel that's an issue, but I'm also just glad we left without our friend potentially getting stung/suffering an allergic reaction. We thought it was a nice cabin, good area, but definitely disappointed with the dirty grille, the lukewarm hot tub, and the hornets. Lastly, there was a plethora of cigarette butts all around the property. That could have been from people that had previously stayed.

Great Getaway

We rented this place for Christmas. We arrived to a charminly deorated Christmas house. It was great to walk in to a perfectly cleaned cabin that was aglow with a christmas tree lights and softly lit lamps. We did have a couple of hickups, the hot tub was broke. We called the property manage who sent someone over immediatly. When they determined they couldn't fix it, they gave us access to the cabin next door and that cabin's hot tub. Worked out great. The fireplaces were a bit tricky as well. Once again, a simple call and all turned out well. When we ran out of fire wood, again a simple call and we had wood delivered. Check out and in was super easy. PM was very supportive. We had a great family time

Thanksgiving retreat

The cabin was great!!! Perfect for our family Thanksgiving away from the city. The only negative was the Hot tub was dated and falling apart.

Splendid cabin!

The cabin was very nice and clean, everything was very comfortable and homey feeling. The binder was very helpful to answer any questions we had, although we had a bit of trouble with the hot tub. The area of luray was wonderful and appreciated all the recommended things to do!!

This was a perfect family mini vacation.

We brought the family for a long weekend and it was perfect. Not far from any of the must see attractions, this lovely cabin has all the comforts needed after enjoying the surroundings. The hot tub was wonderful and the fire pit was perfect for family time to finish the evening. Thank you!

Heaven on Earth

The hot tub was broken, deck was unsafe, gas grill needs to replaced. The furniture and mattresses were worn out. Access to the river is shared with other community members which is not mentioned in the description. WE paid for seven nights and stayed one.

Great for families.

Very clean. Very organized and well thought out communication about the property. Kids appreciated the games/activities. The dog loved that he could join us. Less private than we expected, but was not a problem for us.

Comfortable and clean lodgings

This was a great place to meet up with two other people. There is a bedroom on each floor and a bathroom on two of the floors. The game room is packed, and there is a library of books and DVDs. We enjoyed ourselves and were very comfortable hanging out in the living room, and on the deck.

Lovely cottage

The place is lovely, with a big yard for the kids to run/play. The kitchen had everything we needed for a 4days stay. There was some nice personal touch throughout the house. Easy check-in process, easy to find. It was 15min drive to town/Luray Caverns so you get the peace/quiet at night. The firepit was great as well! The only unfortunate thing is that we got charge for 2 children under 2yo that slept in their park n play (not even using bed linens) AND for a 2 months as that was, with parents, above 4 people. It does seem ridiculous to us to be charged extra per day, especially for the infant (didnt even use a towel!). That was 3 extra charge for our little ones, while the cottage had plenny of space. We didnt use the 3rd bedroom as it was in tbe basement and the stair were too scary for our little ones.

Weekend getaway

Friends gathered for a weekend retreat to unplug. Heaven on Earth presents much better live than in pictures. Excellent use of space and the three bedrooms all spacious and comfortable. Books/games were a plus. DVD library pretty good 👍. All of us had fairly decent cell signal At&t Verizon Tmobile Dog friendly and the dog enjoyed the grounds as well. Hot tub was clean and comfortable. Very easy stay, location was great with good amount of privacy. Will definitely place on my favorites list. Hope to have the opportunity to Stay here again!
