Your dreamy, secluded getaway awaits. Discover your secluded haven in this enchanting home surrounded by Oak Trees and mountains in the heart of Los Padres National Forest, near Cachagua road. Tucked away among oak trees, this private escape ensures tranquil privacy for a rejuvenating experience. Indulge in the array of amenities, from the outdoor hot tub/firepit to the indoor electric fireplace, central heating and air conditioning, and 2 queen-size beds with views of the trees through expansive windows.
Inside, a well-equipped kitchen boasts a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster, stainless steel cookware, and basic utensils.

The place was nice and clean, but a lot more remote than we realized. If you are looking for a place to really get away and unwind, it is a good pick. Bring all your food in so you don’t have to drive back out. If you are looking for a place as a home base for Carmel and the vicinity, it is a long winding drive.

Directions to property were clear. It's a small & cute home w/very comfortable sheets & duvets. Pillows were not feather. Nice because of allergies. Beds were small. My husband & I swapped out sleeping on the couch. The shower was clean w/nice finishes, plenty of hot water, & good water pressure. But zero shower shelving to hold soaps, shampoo, razors, etc.. Three of us had to place all our shower items on the shower floor. Awkward bending over for everything & too many cluttered items on the shower floor. Bathroom was a tight space equipped w/hooks to hang things but no shelving or adequate counter space to place toiletries & getting ready items. Shampoo & body soaps provided by the host were Dove brand, not my preference. Glad I brought my own. Bath&kitchen sink soaps provided had a strong unpleasant smell. I purchased other soaps to use while we were there. Air-con was governed for no cooler than 68 degrees. We needed to open all windows at night w/all bedroom doors open for a cross breeze to stay cool otherwise the bedrooms became too warm to sleep. Consequently, the open curtains/windows let in the light from outside string lights which were on a timer that didn't turn off until 10/11pm. Tons of string lights but only half were working. The lighting inside the home was very bright & needed dimmer switches. More comfortable living room furniture would have been very much appreciated to relax at the end of the day. Cute space but not incredibly comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay for three guests and a dog at Daniel's property. The description of treehouse retreat fits it well. It is a bit of a distance up from the city, but that is accurately explained. Be ready for curvy roads. He mentioned in his instructions cell service would be lost and the directive to download instructions and map for offline use are very important to follow. It isn't somewhere you can just happen to find. Only one thing was a bit unsatisfactory. Bath towels were still in the washing machine and there were only two washcloths for three people for three days and two nights. Mostly just a small inconvenience.
