Everything was GREAT. WILL STAY AGAIN. I DO WISH THERE WAS A FENCED IN PLACE FOR DOG. THE HOME , ACCESS AND THE VIEW OF BEACH were PERFECT.

Misleading "Newly Remodeled" Listing with Serious Health HazardsDespite being advertised as "newly remodeled," this property was in severe disrepair and unsanitary conditions. Upon arrival, we found broken stairs, a non-functional garbage can and ice dispenser, broken blinds, dirty pots, and even someone else’s clothes left in the dryer.The most alarming issue was the discovery of black mold on a vent late at night. Due to the late hour, we were forced to stay but immediately sealed off the room. We subsequently found alternative accommodation. VRBO provided a partial refund, but the owner disputed the presence of mold, claiming it was merely condensation, and refused a full refund.This older home is clearly not maintained as advertised. I cannot recommend this property to anyone concerned with safety or cleanliness.

We take the safety and cleanliness of our home incredibly seriously. Following this stay, we immediately had the property inspected; a licensed contractor certified the stairs as structurally sound, and professional laboratory testing for mold came back completely negative. We're proud that this home earned consecutive five-star reviews from the guests who stayed immediately before and after this reservation. Because our official inspection reports proved the home was completely safe, the guest's subsequent payment dispute was resolved in our favor. While we always appreciate a transparent system where hosts can also review guest history and ratings, we remain fully committed to honest, high-quality hospitality. We've since addressed the minor cleaning oversights with our team and replaced the damaged trash bin to ensure the home remains in peak condition.

Beach Fun

Loved the convince to the beach. The outside shower is ideal for washing off the sand. The house was clean with plenty of amenities. It could however use a few updates, the deck had a few nails sticking up that caused a few stubbed toes, blinds were needing to be replaced. All in all it was a great place for our family to gather for the weekend.

Overall, the house is very clean and spacious, enough for days at the beach. The air conditioner in the living room window doesn't work and is quite noisy. The air conditioner in the bedrooms is very quiet, except for the one in the room below; it's quite noisy for sleeping. That's the only negative. Otherwise, the experience was very good. Thank you.

Great space, great location.

This house was beautiful and spacious. Interior was pretty nice. My only complaint was that the couch beds (which we were counting on) didn't have mattresses. Not a big deal, we managed. Will definitely reserve again in the future.

Spring Break 2025

The unit was functional. A short walk to the beach. Built in 1975 but somewhat updated to accommodate more people. Short walk to store, pizza and coffee shop. Air conditioning provided by windows units which operated well, albeit noisy. Nice deck with water views. Plenty of parking. Very comfortable and relaxing. A good time.

Galveston Trip

The place had surprisingly plenty of room and beds. It is an older house, but very nice to stay in. It is across from the fire, EMS and police building. So there are a lot of sirens at different times. It was just a short walk to the beach without having to cross the main road we had a great time.

Wonderful place!!

This beach house was the perfect place. It’s nice & has plenty of room. It is so close to the beach you can walk to it. The only issue we had was apparently whoever used the pans last just put them up without cleaning them. We had to clean all the pans we used because there was food on them. Other than that, we loved the place & we would definitely stay again.
