Pet friendly canal retreat

'Turtle retreat' is a place where you can relax, enjoy the sunrise and make memories with your family. The house includes a dumb-waiter to bring up your groceries or send food and drinks downstairs. It is also equipped with a whole house natural gas generator, cargo lift for your suitcases and freestanding icemaker to make your trip more enjoyable.

We have plenty of games for the kids and there is a smart TV in every room.

Fishing rods provided so you can fish right off your private dock.
Guest access
There is an owner's closet upstairs and downstairs that locked. It is where cleaning supplies are located for our cleaning crew between guests. These supplies are locked up to avoid being accidentally ingested by young children. All other spaces are completely accessible to our guests.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Leanne was very responsive and an excellent host. The house was clean and spacious. The house had all the essentials and more. The kitchen was large and well equipped. Centrally located and a nice neighborhood. We will book again the next time we visit the Galveston area. Thanks Leanne!

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Retreat. This place was amazing and the most equipped house and cleanest one we have ever stayed at and the location was perfect. They have thought of everything!! Perfect place to relax, have family time and lots of fishing. My husband said I picked a perfect place to stay!! Leanne was very helpful in facilitating our rental plans. Wonderful host!We definitely plan on coming back!

Perfect weekend get away

The beach house was perfect for our needs. It has all the amenities you will need to enjoy a weekend get away. Our friends were very impressed with the place and can't wait to book again sometime. We cooked, we fished, we hung out both indoors and outdoors with our families and it was great. Beautiful home.

Great Spot!

House is clean and well stocked. Very spacious and well laid out for people and all our beach/fishing gear. Beds and couch are very comfortable. Double deck was awesome for fishing and crabbing! Easy to contact host and overall wonderful experience!

Jamaica Beach Turtle Retreat

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Retreat. The home was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The hosts were great with responding to communication and providing all the necessary information for the property. Proximity and easy access to the beach was awesome. Highly recommend this home. We will be coming back.

Amazing stay

We rent several houses a year to get away and this was definitely in the top. Communication with the owner was above and beyond and the house was amazing! It was well stocked and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing host!

We stay in galveston very often and find most properties to provide the bear minimum, but not the Turtle Retreat! It was amazing. All the small totes we pack along like seasonings and kcups they had it. The price is worth the stay. Will be back probably everytime we come

Beautiful home w/ exceptional owner

My family just enjoyed an excellent stay at this beautiful house in Jamaica Beach. The owner was very communicative, very helpful, and has a beautiful home. There was plenty of space for my 3 kids to play and lots of great features including a fully fenced upstairs deck with a gate to the stairs. Short trip to the beach, fishing available right downstairs, and a quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed it, and will definitely be back!

This is the PLACE!

Talk about convience! This house has everything you need to relax, have family time and tons of fishing, including a bait shop just down the road. The beds were so comfortable after a long day and night of fishing. The host who has was amazing and very quick responses.This house is generously stocked, all you need to bring is food, drnks, and clothes! We had a blast!

Short birthday getaway

This was one of the cleanest VRBO I have ever visited. This home felt like home and truly had everything you need inside and outside . All I needed was my clothes and toiletries. The owner responded very quickly to questions . I’m definitely renting this property again! My kids were even impressed. Thanks for the great experience!

Great time with Dad!

Dad's getting a little too old (83 yo)to go bay fishing in a boat, so this was the next best thing for him. Lots of fish over the underground Greenlight, we just couldn't get them to bite. Other than that we had a great time with Pop, Watching him do one of the things he loved made this trip so worth it! The bay was perfect and clean, and the bed was very comfy. I can't say enough good things about the host, but I will say she was nothing short of wonderful! We'll be back soon!
