It has a firepit for relaxing.
Readstown is a great town with many antique shops and there are many hiking trails and canoeing rentals in the area. The snowmobiling trails go through the area too

Incredibly cozy, intimate space. The bed in the loft was incredibly comfortable, and the proximity to Viroqua, La Crosse, and the rest of the Driftless is terrific. Walking distance from Crazy Frank's! The road is nearby by the trees provide tons of privacy - it felt very secluded despite the proximity to restaurants and the like. The room could have used some instructions on how to use the hot tub - took us a bit but we got it. But overall a very low-maintenance stay and we appreciated the simplicity of the check-in and the lack of a to-do list for checkout (we washed the dishes and took out the trash and made sure everything was tidy!). The sky is DARK, too. Lots of stars, and if you want more open sky, Wildcat Mountain State Park is an hour away. Overall, a smaller cabin but very cozy and perfect for two!

Quiet Kickapoo River Getaway

Quiet and cozy cabin across the street from the Kickapoo River. Perfect size for two to take a quiet getaway for a time. Much to see in the Readstown and Viroqua area and Kickapoo Valley. Excellent hiking trails, restaurants/ bars and shopping within a short drive. LeAnne was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Cozy little cabin in Readstown

We spent one night at the cabin. It was small, but was cozy and well equipped. The loft bed was accessed by a wood ladder. This was fine, but made night time trips to the bathroom more of a challenge for us. The area is beautiful with the Kickapoo River nearby. My wife left her shawl behind so I contacted LeAnne and she kindly mailed it back to us.

Great location, photos are a bit misleading

Cabin was very cozy, nicely kept, seems like new construction. Area is beautiful. Kitchen supplies is nothing special but has the bare essentials. Was nice having the grill and grill supplies. Many things to do in the area and Viroqua is a short drive. My only complaint is that the photos are a bit misleading. It looks very rustic, in the woods from the photos, but it is actually around 100 ft from a fairly often used road, with cabins on either side that are pretty close nearby. It is definitely not in the middle of the woods.

Neat cabin in the woods!

The cabin was beautiful with abundant amenities. So many extras we hadn't really realized were there based on lack of photos online. Maybe this is done because the property has no trouble filling up, but the bonfire area, hammock, large porch, additional cooking items, etc would have been nice to know prior. Cabin was quaint, with owners attention to detail. Could have been a bit cleaner(ants, crumbs left), but it is the middle of summer, which makes that hard. Host was very response, but left very short responses sometimes still leaving questions in my mind and I didn't want to bug her again with more questions. I give this feedback, not to disappoint, but to give my honest perspective. I would absolutely come back and stay at this lovely cabin. Thanks for all the lovely memories :)

Hot tub was a nice way to end the day. Be aware that the bed is on the loft so if you don’t like heights might not be for you. A perfect quiet place to get away.

We loved our stay! The cabin was clean, well stocked and cozy! It’s located close to lots of great outdoor activities, hiking trails and fishing! We loved sitting by the campfire. It exceeded our expectations! Thank you for your hospitality!

Perfect first getaway

Haven't been on vacation in over a decade and this was the perfect way to destress, relax and enjoy. We spent a lot of time on the porch chairs just talking and relaxing. Will definitely book here again.

Great Place to Spend the 4th of July!

Adorable little cabin a short walk from the river. Has a very nice porch from which to enjoy the forest when it rains. The neighboring town is big into fireworks, has a shop with a good selection, so likely all the campsites along the river will be popping off a show. Wildcat Mountain State Park is incredible for hiking, varied and beautiful terrain.

Cozy, tucked-away retreat

Great little cabin tucked on the hillside outside of a small town, great food and experiences within a half hour drive, beautiful view on our run up the road out of town.

This was a nice property it was clean and comfy. The host was not overly friendly when chatting with her but overall that was not a make or break for the property. I would stay again in the future.
