My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Serenity Cottage. Great place and great location. My wife also appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower😀. We are looking forward to coming back.

Quiet, Peaceful with stunning lake views.

From start to finish my stay and Sunset Serenity Shorehouse was fantastic. Upon arrival the lights were on and music was playing. Cottage was quaint and clean. The views of the lake and sounds of the waves every day (which were amazing) brought back so many memories. Solitude, silence and a great book read on the deck overlooking the water. Highly recommend fish and chips from Out of the Blue Seafood Market where you can either buy fresh fish or fish and chips right next store.

Our stay was for 3 nights was extremely pleasant. Communication and response time before and during the stay was excellent, and the hosts made sure to check in with us to make sure everything was good once we arrived. Kitchen was well stocked, beds and living room was comfy, tv was easy to use.Windows to the stunning backyard and lake/sunset view was the very best part, along with the outdoor “living room” complete with fireplace that we used once. Hot tub was also great!Too cold to swim yet but would love to come back and jump in the lake someday! Thanks for having us!

New Years Getaway

Spent a nice, relaxing winter week here! Loved sitting in the kitchen or living room and looking out the many windows at the gorgeous view of the lake, as well as soaking in the hot tub!

Great location!

Nice, quaint cottage that had everything that we needed! The lake view was awesome and being so close to Bayfield, and not to far from Grand Bend and Goderich was really great! Jennifer communicated very well as the check in/check out process was very easy.

Private and quiet

We had a fantastic weekend. The view was beautiful and the cottage was lovely. I was particularly impressed with how clean the hot tub was!

Bayfield break

Lovely stay away from the everyday. Tasteful home with Lake Huron views. Hot tub dips while the sun sets. Cute town with lots of close hiking/walking trails.

A relaxing stay in a gorgeous setting close to Bayfield

A comfortable and charming cottage, with all we needed for a lovely getaway. Ideal waterfront location close to Bayfield’s shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. True to its name, we enjoyed relaxing days and gorgeous sunsets at Sunset Serenity Shorehouse. Especially enjoyed soaking in the hot tub beneath the towering trees, meals outside on the spacious covered terrace, and walks with our dog along the quiet forest road. We were captivated by the changing colours of the sky and Lake Huron. The 80+ steps to the large lakeside deck and beach gave us a good workout! The water was clear, calm, and already quite warm. Loved the soothing sounds of gulls, and waves lapping on the shoreline. Thanks to Shauna and Jennifer for taking care of all the details for a memorable stay.

Perfect getaway during a winter storm

The cottage was exactly as advertised. Jennifer was very accommodating and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable - especially given the extreme weather in the area. Zero complaints. We will book again, no question.

The cottage was exactly as described. Extremely well equipped kitchen, including a dish washer. We are two mothers on a Mothers Day get away so appreciated the dish washer. Cozy with comfy furnishings. GREAT view of Lake Huron sunsets. Too chilly to use the hot tub, but we would in better temperatures. We brought our own fire wood, but the previous visitors had left theirs, so we left what we didn't use for whomever came next.The host was accessible before, during and after our stay; all questions and one minor problem were immediately addressed. One important item left behind was shipped to me for a nominal fee. We would like to come back!!

Really Enjoyable Stay in a Great Place!

We had a very enjoyable time in this lovely cottage! The good sized covered porch is a great place to hang out even when it’s raining. The patio furniture is super comfortable and we spent hours out there from morning coffee, through afternoon naps, to cocktail hour! After dinner, the also very comfortable living room provided for a cozy evening spent watching movies or streaming our favourite shows before bed. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-appointed! We particularly loved that we could bring our little dog. She settled in immediately and seemed to enjoy herself puttering around the yard smelling all the smells! Thanks for a great time! We would like to come back another time!

Quaint and beautiful little cottage

We had a great time at Sunset Serenity. Very private location nestled amongst the trees and super close to Bayfield. The cottage is nice and cottagy with all the comforts. We loved the layout and the decor, and especially the hot tub. A really nice touch on cooler days when lake swimming isn’t an option. The outdoor wood burning fireplace was our favourite feature. We had a fire going all day long! So great. The only thing we would have changed or would suggest, was a little bit of treetop trimming to reveal a bit more of those famous Lake Huron sunsets. Overall a fantastic stay and we would go back in a heartbeat!

March Break weekend

Stayed for 3 nights over March Break. The kids (6 & 7 yo) enjoyed the bonus loft room and we all enjoyed many board games. Highlights were the wildlife that was easily seen from the kitchen and living room: foxes, rabbit, ground hog and even a bald eagle. Wonderful sunsets and fun trips to local restaurants, breweries and hiking trails. Jennifer communicates regularly and clearly and everything was as described. No full privacy between the rooms (sounds carry with angled wall slats at the top of shared wall, useful for air circulation) which only was noticeable when kids were trying to fall asleep, so not a problem for us, but wouldn’t stay with another couple here. Beautiful retreat with a great view.

SPACKMAN / TREPANIER VACATION

OVERALL WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR STAY AT SUNSET SERENITY COTTAGE. IT WAS PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. THE COMMON AND OUTDOOR SPACES WERE PERFECT. WE REALLY LOVED THE PATIO WITH FIREPLACE AND ENJOYED A FIRE EVERY EVENING. THE HOTTUB WAS GREAT AND WE LOVED THE OUTDOOR SHOWER. THE KITHEN WAS IDEAL THE BATHROOM WAS TINY BUT JUST FINE SINCE THEOUTDOOR SHOWER IS HUGE. BEDROOMS WERE OK. I PERSONALLY PREFER A LARGER BED, BUT WE KNEW WE WERE GETTING QUEEN BEDS. SO NO COMPLAINTS. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

An idyllic getaway for a week in a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous setting

A beautiful cottage right on the water with a great outdoor sitting area with a fireplace a lovely, hot tub and beautiful barbecue. The outdoor furniture is lovely and very comfortable. The walk down the stairs to the lake and then sitting on the deck overlooking the water is incredible. The cottage itself is first rate all the appliances all the furniture the Napoleon stove everything is just wonderful.

Rooms were clean. Kitchen was well stocked minus food. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Hot tube available. It was perfect for 2 people. Access to lake via stairs. I would go again

Another amazing stay at Sunset Serenity!

We had such a great time last year, we decided to return for another visit. The weather wasn’t as nice this year as it was last year, but we still had a great time. We went for lots of walks in between the breaks in rain and still took in all the sights around the area. We enjoyed the break from the hustle of everyday life and the tranquility of the cottage. The trees and the sound of the water crashing on the shore certainly brought a peacefulness to our days. The cottage was pristine and had all the comforts of home, with a much better view :) We are grateful that we had this time away to reconnect and we look forward to returning again soon! Jen and Lea are fabulous hosts!

Absolutely perfectly relaxing

Four of us stayed at this property for the second year in a row. We especially enjoy the outdoor covered area with wood burning fireplace and the beach deck overlooking Lake Huron. We also enjoyed visiting Cowbell Brewery in Blyth,Bayfield shops,Lambeth Museum in Grand Bend for Ontario Paints 2022 show.
