Very comfortable stay in Fairfield -- loved the proximity to Ross Bay, shopping, downtown. Lovely neighborhood, Chris was terrific to communicate with.

Great location

Just a block from Dallas road and 10 minute walk from Fairfield Village shopping the location is great. Property needs some TLC. Carpet cleaning or replacement and work in the garden to tidy it up would enhance this property.

I stayed at the cottage for 6 six weeks and enjoyed every minute. It was the perfect location for me and my dog. The cottage had everything I needed for a long term stay and was cozy and comfortable. Chris was a very accommodating host and responsive when I needed anything. He was also a very good property mate, very quiet and pleasant. I am hoping to stay here again next year! Thanks Chris.

It was a treat to host Martha for her Victoria summer sojourn. She was a lovely and thoughtful guest with excellent communication skills. It was really gratifying to see how much her (and her trusty pooch) enjoyed the cottage and surroundings. You are always welcome at Ross Bay Cottage, Martha!

A little bit of heaven

I absolutely loved my stay in this heritage cottage. Being on my own with my little dog and so close to the beach was such a plus. Chris was a wonderful host and was there when I needed him. Loved the fenced back yard and I know closer to spring it will be a lovely place to sit in the sun. Looking forward to coming again. Thanks Chris!

Location is the only appeal

Being just blocks from the beach and within walking distance to parks, trails and shops was nice. The cabin is very rustic and could use some TLC. No toilet paper (we left some) or properly placed smoke detector. Ants in the kitchen. We got the impression little effort is put into upkeep because the location makes this an appealing property.

This is our first rating of less than five stars and we will take it to heart. So sorry to hear you weren't completely happy! It was "ant season" in Victoria, and we try to manage them without chemicals. Their visit is always short and uneventful. We pride ourselves on our cleaning and upkeep, and are sorry you ran out of toilet paper. There was more in the cottage in storage. Our manager lives next door and always available to handle guest needs. Next time, just let us know if you need anything!

A Gem in Fairfield!

Everything about our stay at the cottage on May Street was beyond delightful. The location was superb (close to everything and the beach is just down the street). We loved the vintage charm of the cottage and found it perfect for all our needs. Chris was an exceptional and generous host. We feel lucky to have found this sweet spot — and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
