The house was so clean and adorable. Additionally, the location of the house was perfect for its proximity to downtown and Mars Hill. My family loved it, and it took me back to my youth when we used to visit my mom's family in Wise, VA. Even though there is only one bathroom, they have a second sink with counter space outside of the bedrooms which is great. Thank you for having everything we need too. The towels were clean and fluffy.

This is a charming, renovated farmhouse on a beautiful old orchard, frequently with deer wandering in the "back 40" at dusk. This was our second stay at Apple at the Hill. We returned because it truly deserves the description of providing a home away from home. It's not fancy, but it is clean and so welcoming. The "outfitting" of the kitchen is amongst the best we have ever experienced amongst our various stays. They clearly try to provide everything you might need for any stay, short or long. There is only one bathroom (toilet/shower/sink with mirror) but they have added a nice, large, well-lit, two sink vanity with mirrors in the hallway adjacent to the three bedrooms which made it workable for us, even with a teenage granddaughter. When you arrive, you find a nice basket of snacks, some pastries for breakfast and a welcome note. While it's about a 15-20 minute drive to Asheville, it's an easy drive, So don't rule it out as a potential bargain for a large family needing multiple rooms and wanting to avoid eating at restaurants for all your meals. Highly recommended for a fun family stay.

Brilliant Properly in beautiful location Excellent 3 bed house in Massive surroundings. Everything you need to makebyour stay feel like your at home.Less than 5min walk to Marshill We stayed there to visit our son on his 2nd year at MHU.

Perfect location! Cute, clean, safe neighborhood, accurate description and convenient location.Took the kids to Hately point for skiing and this was a perfect location with a short drive to Hately and Asheville.

Very nice stay

The property was clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a short walk to town and coffee shop. It’s a nice small town and it was beautiful in the Fall. The host was very helpful and communicative regarding the area and how it was affected by the hurricane. Would definitely stay again.

My family and I have stayed in this house many times over the four years our daughter was attending MHU. Perfect location, very clean and we love the outside deck and front porch. Only negative is it’s only one bathroom but all the positives out way that for us! Love the Apple House!

Fun Getaway

Apple on the Hill was the perfect getaway! We loved the location: scenic view close to town but still far from neighbors The house had everything we needed, including the coffee maker and coffee! The decor and antiques were lovely. Loved the story of the family and so glad Kathy and Becky were able to keep this treasure. Great communication too. Not too far from Biltmore Estate.

Easter Weekend

We enjoyed staying at the Apple on the Hill. The house was charming and we loved the history of the ownership. Everything was super clean and the house was well equipped with all that we needed. We were able to have a wonderful Easter dinner with our daughter who attends Mars Hill University.

Thanksgiving

This place was so cute. It was super clean and I loved how the historical parts of the house remained while making it modern at the same time. It had everything that we needed for the stay. The bathroom is a bit small, but no problem for a vacation stay. The beds were comfortable and although it was very cold while we were there, the house was toasty. I hope that it will be available when we are back in Mars Hill again.
