We really enjoyed our stay here. My group of 7 had reserved this to be able to attend the Kentucky-Auburn football game. We thought this property was excellent. More than enough room for our group, and we appreciated that the kitchen had sufficient cooking supplies, as we ate several meals here. Golden Tee machine was a fun treat, and we all said we'd like to come visit when we could take advantage of the lake and kayaks. Really cool property, would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Lake Trip

We came to the lake for a wedding at Overlook Farms, this lake house was perfect for our family and was so close to the Venue. It was clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, had plenty of toys for the lake, a great loft upstairs and room for all 3 cars. There are a lot of stairs but it was good for us.

Great weekend on the lake

Very comfortable and quiet. Close to Stillwaters Golf course. House was very clean. Internet and TV worked great. Be aware of the steep driveway, but that is to be expected with a lake house. Would stay here again.

From the owner: "Hi Stacy, this is unusual feedback for our home, and we want to clarify a few points. You only mentioned ants on the last day of your stay and did not report any concerns about roaches at any time. We responded as quickly as possible, but since it was the weekend, we weren’t able to get pest control out until Monday. After your departure, the home was professionally inspected, and no insects were found. Additionally, our cleaning crew noted that several items were stolen from our property during your stay, and it truly saddens us to see this happen.Despite this, we remain committed to all our guests having excellent stays."

Peaceful stay with beautiful views

We loved our four night stay at this property. House is privately located on a hill with trees in between properties so you are close to other houses yet you have privacy at the same time. As listed on the details, this house does require using stairs, but we did not mind it at all. It had everything we needed for our family of four and could easily accomadate more people. Beds were clean and comfortable, the house was nice with a bit of rustic feel to it (in a good way!). There is a Walmart located about 25 mins away and a Dollar General about 15 mins away. Beautiful views all around, kids enjoyed using the two kayaks provided. Very happy with this booking!

We had a very good time at this house arriving on Friday and leaving Monday morning. Family really enjoyed the back porch/deck, water, dock, and kayaks. Owner/contact person was very easy to communicate with. NOTE - I did reach out to owner/contact person and he did offer to have repairman come out. The most glaring issue we had was with the air conditioning. The upstairs loft area was very comfortable and you could feel cool air coming out of the vents. But the main floor/kitchen and the bottom level with washer/dryer had almost tepid air coming out of the vents.

This house has so much potential, it’s in a fantastic location and the size is perfect for a larger family. The dock is also a great feature. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. The kitchen cabinets, drawers, and pantry were dirty, with leftover condiments and miscellaneous food from previous guests. The bathrooms had partially used toiletries left behind, and there was trash and dirt under the beds. Light fixtures and vaulted ceilings were covered in dust and cobwebs, and the garbage cans inside and outside were not properly cleaned. We even had issues with ants and bugs.When we arrived, the outdoor trash was already full (on a Tuesday). We assumed it would be picked up the next morning, but it wasn’t. After reaching out, someone came and removed a few bags, but the problem wasn’t resolved, which was difficult given the size of our group.For the price of this rental, a professional cleaning service is badly needed. With better upkeep, this property could easily be a five-star stay.

We left a day early because we were so dissatisfied. The checkout instructions were to leave used linens in a pile, and the morning of our arrival we got a text threatening we would be charged $50 if the towels were not in the dryer and ALL sheets were at least washed before we left- we used 7 beds, so multiple loads. Several of the towels were stained & crusty. Brian, the host, was not very responsive, especially when we were having difficulty getting into the house. There were spiders & webs in every corner of the unclean basement, a large cooler with water & dead bugs in the dining area, and dirty paper towels left in the cabinets. No keys were left to access the kayaks (one of the reasons we chose this house), and the lake mat was gross & ripped. No apology from the host or any attempt to make things right.

While it is true that towels may show signs of wear over time, we can assure you that we regularly inspect and maintain our amenities to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.-We appreciate your understanding regarding our responsiveness. Please understand that when we received your messages at 9:50 p.m., it was beyond our usual hours of operation, and we had already retired for the night. It's worth noting that the majority of our guests have no trouble accessing the property. The delayed response was primarily due to the late hour, and we hope this explanation provides some context. We have indeed responded and maintained a record of numerous text messages from the guest.-Regarding the mention of spiders, the cooler, and dirty paper towels, we strive to maintain our property in the best possible condition. The cooler provided is regularly cleaned, and we address any issues promptly. As for the kayaks, it appears there was a key placement error by the previous guests, which we were unaware of until we reached out to them.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
