Comfortable and convenient

We had a nice holiday weekend stay. Unit heats well and the gas fire on demand was extra cozy. Beds are comfortable and the entire unit was very clean. Having a grocery store and McDonald’s walking distance made this trip so easy. Thank you for sharing your home.

Truckee Condo

Nice condo in Truckee that is convenient to the highway, grocery stores, restaurants, and their is a brewery a 2 minute walk away. Condo was clean, stocked with everything we needed, TV worked great with access to internet channels (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, etc). Host was great and checkin was easy. Only thing would recommend would be to have a place to store dirty stuff such as bikes, skies, boots, etc. as the condo is mostly carpet so you need to be real careful. We carried our bikes out to the balcony which worked out well.

Nice place but in NOSIEY area

The condo itself was nice, but the neighborhood was noisy. At 10 pm the car wash was still active, and again at 7 am( a womans voice tells you what to do in the automatic part of car wash. It startled me). We left our windows open as it was so warm in condo) You can also hear traffic from freeway and train. Lots of street traffic noise too. McDonald's is really close plus a shopping center . The person down below us is a Marijuana smoker and it smelled horrible when we were sitting on patio.

Hi Lisa, we're glad you enjoyed the condo, but we're sorry certain aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following: "Thank you for the feedback. Because we are in a prime location with many conveniences (restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, sports store, bike rentals, microbrewery) all within walking distance, we are subject to some local noise. To address this and also to address the summer heat, which has been bad this summer, we are planning to install an air conditioning unit so that windows can be closed and the unit can be noise insulated. We have not found a marijuana smell to be a prior complaint, possibly a guest visiting below."

We enjoyed our stay. The property is very well located - easy walk to nearby restaurants and stores, biking distance from downtown. Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and generally comfortable. There is a portable AC unit in the living room that was a bit weak, but even though it's hot during the day (July stay) the place cools off very well at night when leaving windows open, so lack of AC was not a concern in the bedrooms. The kitchen is functional although the collection of plates/dishes etc is somewhat random and it could be a bit better equipped. There's a lack of surface lighting in the kitchen that also could be improved (e.g., stove surface light did not work, no lights under cabinets). There is a 24 hour car wash right across the street that can be heard from the master bedroom if someone happens to do a middle of the night wash (happened once). Overall, pleased with the rental and the host.

So glad you enjoyed the location, the space, and how well the house cools off at night with the windows open. We stock a variety of plates, glassware, and even kid-friendly options, and recently added brand new cookware to help round things out in the kitchen. The living room's portable A/C unit is on our radar and we're working with the HOA on options for central A/C down the road. Kitchen lighting, including the stove surface light and under-cabinet lights, is our next planned upgrade after recently completing a new heating system. We appreciate you taking the time to share these details, and we're glad the location and overall stay left a good impression.

Boulders

Easy communication with host, fair pricing in relation to other tahoe properties, convenient location. Decent amenities. Property could use a lighting upgrade, dark master bath, lamps with no lampshade. Garage was not accessible to us which I should have asked because we had Paddleboards that i planned to store in garage. We would stay there again.
