We only allow dogs in our pet friendly rooms. One dog is free, but the second is an additional $25 one time. Please let us know if you are bringing a second dog.

Suite 304 has more than enough room to accommodate a family or a small group. With 2 beds in the bedroom and a small pull out in the living room it is sure to suit better than a hotel room! It also has a stocked kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils, along with a fridge, microwave and stove. It is a little home away from home!

Locally owned and operated The Sojourn is close to restaurants, the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. There are hiking and biking trails and regional clinics and hospitals just minutes away. You’ll love us because of the convenient location and the quiet, comfortable rooms. Great base for exploring western South Dakota. We are the perfect location for couples, families, solo adventurers, business travelers, and traveling nurses. The Sojourn is located in South Dakota's beautiful Black Hills. You’ll love our proximity to all Rapid City and the surrounding areas have to offer! Stay in Rapid City and enjoy hiking, parks, restaurants, shopping and ice skating in city center as you visit Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devil’s Tower, Badlands and Sturgis. There are so many attractions that you will absolutely love it here! Our listing is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and traveling nurses!

Mount Rushmore Road is a busy street with grocery stores, restaurants and parks. We are a 1/4 mile from the Skyline hiking and biking trail system, 1.5 miles from Main Street Square and 1.5 miles from the Hanson Larson Trail. 22 miles out of town is Mount Rushmore!

Extra notes:

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive any time after 3pm. The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival. Of course, we are happy to assist! If we aren't on the property when you arrive, we are nearby.

Clean and easy.

This property is a clean motel style suite with a kitchenette and living room area. Affordable and accessible with a nice area to bring the dog to do his business. Not the best sound barrier from the folks staying above us, but not bad. Also, the Mexican joint across the street has the best juevos rancheros I’ve ever had. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little place to stay

Clean, smelled good and comfy for our weekend visit to Rapid City. Close to shopping, groceries, gas, and restaurants! We would stay here again. Easy check in and check out process as well! We enjoyed our stay here! :)

Overall, the property was in decent shape and comfortable. The mirror in the main room was a little dirty, but the rest of it was pretty clean.

Not worth the price

Extremely smelly unit with disgusting stains on the carpet. Overwhelming urine smell in the bedroom made it difficult to sleep. We had to keep the windows open at all times, even though the weather was super hot and humid. The air conditioner units were visibly dirty and the filters were full of dust and crud. The stinky perfume from the plug in air fresheners made me feel sick.
