We only allow dogs in our pet friendly rooms. One dog is free, but the second is an additional $25 one time. Please let us know if you are bringing a second dog.

The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. Updated bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Studio 307 includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and cooktop. There is a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking and no pets.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Extra notes:

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive anytime after 3pm.  The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival.  Of course, we are happy to assist!  If we aren't on the property when you arrive we are near by.

My family of three stayed here two nights. The communication from the hosts was helpful and check in/out was easy. The unit was comfortable and we were glad to have a kitchenette.

Easy stay & location

Access to eateries is within walking distance. Not much noise during stay and roomy enough for 2. Must contact through texts not respond through emails. The response/communication wasn’t clear or prompt. Once I contacted the “emergency “ number they responded right away. Our issue was that housekeeping didn’t clean room prior to our stay. Otherwise all was as advertised.

Mother/son road trip

My 16-year-old son and I traveled to South Dakota for adventure and outdoor recreation. We chose Rapid City because it is centrally located to all of the things we wanted to see and experience. The room served its purpose, and the location was great. Communication with the owner was efficient, and the response time was quick. We asked the owner prior to arrival for bedding for the pullout sofa bed, and it was there when we checked in. The only two things I would suggest are new sponges for cleaning dishes, and the mattress on the sofa bed could be updated. We didn't spend much time in the room, and as I mentioned before, it was a great location that met our needs. We really loved South Dakota!
