Large house with great lake access. Fully functional boat lift which we used. You do need to drop the boat off at McCrary public access which is 5 miles away, but it affords a nice boat trip to see the lake and bring things to the house. Beds were very comfy and kitchen was functional. There were a few odds and ends needing attention like the ice maker and a few outlets without power but these didn't have much impact to our stay. The pool was cleaned on the first morning of our stay. Nice since there are a lot of trees dropping leaves even in August. The pool lacks a functional light and was a little disappointed we couldn't use this at night since that was part of the plan with the kids. Adults didn't care. The deck made for a really nice morning cup of coffee with the quiet lake and neighbors chickens waking up. Some people spend hours reading on the deck. TV had enough channels to entertain when needed.

Family vacation spot

The house was nice overall with 2 bedrooms upstairs, master on main floor and 2 bedrooms in basement and patio and deck. They have a ping pong table in basement and foosball on the deck which were not included in the listing. The area is a quiet cove from a boating perspective. We were concerned when we heard there were roosters next door but they didn't wake us. You could hear them during the day but were not an issue for us. We used the pool alot!

The house was perfect for our friend family vacation. The layout of the house was great for putting the kids to bed and being able to still hang out without keeping them up. There were a few differences in the home layout from the listing photos like additional beds in bedrooms but it worked for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pool was a huge perk and we loved having it for our vacation. Our host was very communicative and accommodated an early check in & late check out. The house could use a deep clean, especially outside. The cushions and outdoor furniture are a bit worn. We were disappointed to arrive to the pool filled with leaves and bugs. When we brought it to the hosts attention, they said the pool guy comes once a week. It wasn’t a big deal to clean it ourselves, but for what we paid it should have been clean upon our arrival. It also seemed a little unsanitary to not clean it between guests. Overall the home was great for our family vacation and we will definitely come back!

Great waterfront location with dock easy for pontoon boat use. Big back yard for trained dog. The pool was very nice relief on the hot days that we put up a 10x10 canopy for sun protection. Evolve did very little to help us regarding questions on the home when I called them. Owner responded o.k. after we reached him directly. Minor attention needed to currect some things.

Multiple challenges

Although we made the best of our recent stay, we experience several challenges with this property. The owner did attempt to resolve these issues and provided a partial refund. We had to make multiple calls, emails and text that were NOT answer within a timely fashion and to our expense. Photos of the property are not up to date nor does the listing specify locations of beds/baths. A few days prior to our arrival, we reached out again, based on a recent stay concerning the pool and TVs not being in working order and was told both were functioning properly. This was NOT true regarding the pool. Arrived on Saturday to find the pool dirty and not working. 2.5 days later it was cleaned & fixed, so we missed time enjoying this feature. AC upstairs stopped working on Monday so we lost 2 bedrooms & bath, owner had to drill lock and kindly installed 1 window unit/2 portable but was still unbearable.No closets in MBR and downstairs BR, numerous carpet stains, multiple light bulbs out, multiple non working electrical outlets, no propane, driveway is very steep picture is deceiving, beware if you bring dogs neighbor has chickens and a rooster that freely roam this property at all times of the day, dining chairs were wobbly had to fix them to use. Kayaks available not in listing, lake was beautiful, could use some lounge chairs by the pool to relax besides the wicker chairs. Ping pong table and foos ball was fun, no dart board as shown in photos.

Overall we had a good experience. Be sure to inquire about pool availability, only the tv in the living room seemed to function properly. The neighbors have roosters SURPRISE lol! The owners responded fairly quickly to any concerns.

Fantastic Stay

This house is great for a large family or multiple families. Everyone had their own space, but yet conducive to family gatherings and conversations. The location is private, but convenient to many activities. The master suite on the first floor is great for those who have physical challenges. We enjoyed the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Discovery Place, and Museum of Illusions. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the lake.

Lane vacation

Very nice house and was in a great location. However 5 days out of our stay we had maintenance coming by to fix numerous things . We Did feel like we had to arrange our day accordingly to accommodate them coming in and out.

Roomy home on Lake Norman

This home is great for families and friends. It was relatively clean, considering there are lots of insects and webs to contend with. Bring your bug spray! The view is gorgeous and we were able to take a boat outing right from the dock. There could be more outdoor seating but we brought our own to supplement. The amenities in the kitchen were sparse, so bring your own dishrags and spices. Overall, the house is nice and fairly well kept.
