I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the amenities, the cleanliness, and had a memorable experience despite the extreme cold temperatures. I would like to gently clarify one point for future guests reading this review. As communicated ( in VRBO messages ) clearly on January 4th, the first day of your booking ( check in was 29th) , guests are responsible for shoveling the path from the top of the hill down to the cottage entrance during winter conditions, due to the nature of the location and snowfall in the area. The snowfall during your stay was significant, which is unfortunately beyond anyone’s control, but I appreciate you acknowledging that this was not a surprise and that the conditions were explained in advance. Thank you as well for the feedback regarding the hot tub usage — that’s a helpful note for future guests. I truly appreciate your kind words overall and am happy to hear you had a good time. We are sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience, though we must clarify several important points for the sake of future guests. Your review does not reflect the condition or service of our property. The snow you mentioned is a natural and expected part of winter in our region. We provide cleared parking at the top of the driveway and maintain a snow service. In addition, we supply shovels, salt, and sand for guest safety, and this is clearly noted in our listing. Your claim about the BBQ not working is inaccurate. Our cleaning and maintenance team inspected all amenities before and after your stay, and everything was fully functional.in case of extreme cold the starter of any BBQ may freeze and anyone who even had once experience with gas stove would use a lighter or match provided to start the BBQ. despite your request for a refund at 11 PM at the birthday day —citing the outdoor snow as a “hazard” — we issued a refund as a gesture of goodwill. We value all guest feedback, but it is important to respond when reviews are misleading or do not reflect the true circumstances. We are committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all guests.
