The property was truly perfect -- just as advertised, and in fact actually better. I wasn't familiar with the area, and I was a little worried that at a big ski resort we'd be in a boring kind of condo-land. And while there are a lot of condos, I was amazed at how woodsy and beautiful the area was. Whoever developed it all did a brilliant thing and left the vast majority of beautiful pine trees standing. Even better, our place was clearly in the best condo community of all. While most of the other condos in Mammoth look out at parking lots, all the condos at Los Pinos look out over an enclosed green space with trees, rocks and walkways. Truly beautiful. At the end of a long day of hiking, the pool and hot tub were just what we needed. The interior of the place was perfect -- not only absolutely clean, but set up with lots of nice little extras. Coffee ready to go, ample spice rack and other things you need to cook with. State of the art appliances. Even a Sweets jar full of candy. How did you know we love Swedish Fish?? Communication with host was instantaneous, and again, she went beyond the call of duty, enthusiastically giving us excellent tips for day hikes. Honestly I'm almost reluctant to tell the truth about this place, for fear of having a hard time getting it again in the future. But this place is the essence of what a rental can and should be.
