Summer break

We loved the house , was a perfect location for people like us that came to Exuma for the first time ! The house was very clean and have everything that we needed! We will definitely be back to Exuma !

We absolutely love this house! We’ve stayed here many times in the past and will be booking again in the future. The space is perfect. Plenty of room in all the bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms in perfect. The view is amazing and the pool is so nice. We love the outdoor shower and also the fish cleaning area. A special thank you to Elvis, the caretaker for ensuring we had everyone needed. We look forward to our next visit.

Great location with pool

We had a wonderful stay at Angelique’s home. There was plenty of space for 2 families (4 adults and 2 kids/teens). The pool was nice to come back to after spending the day at the beach or on the boat. We rented Elvis’s van and boat for our entire stay so we were able to come and go as we pleased. Elvis was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay!

We enjoyed our week at Angelique’s home so much! It was so perfect for our family of four and our children (ages 5 and 7) loved it as well and the pool. Wonderful view, perfect location, and the house had everything we needed and plenty of space. This was our second trip to Exuma and we fell in love once again! We will be back and would love to stay here again! :)

2nd time staying

This property was just as good as the first time if not better. The pool was spectacular a short walk to the the ocean water made it even better. The location and privacy was just what we wanted. 12 out of 10 stars totally recommended! Lets not forget Elvis who was there for what ever we needed!

Great location!!!

The property is right in the middle of the island. It’s minutes from restaurants, grocery store, docks, boats, everything. You can walk across the street to the beach and hop right in the water. Day one, hour one we saw two turtles. The pool is wonderful and Elvis is super helpful. Can’t wait to go again.

Lovely home in paradise!

My husband and I spent a beautiful week here in November 2018. Angelique was very helpful and kind by phone and email in answering my many questions. Elvis met us at check in to give us a tour and explain the process of using the boat. He too was very nice and helped us throughout our stay. The house was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room. You do have to cross a busy street to reach the water, and there is no beach. Hence the three stars for location. But the thing that makes up for the location and makes this property so special is access to the boat. Elvis brought it to us each morning, and we spent each day exploring: Stocking Island, Crab Cay, Man O War Cay and more. One of the days got a bit windy and the bimini top tore a bit. Elvis surprised us the very next day with a newly mended bimini, without us even asking. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. We were truly sad when it was time to leave, and will definitely return!

A wonderful week

We loved our week stay at The Yowl House. The location and outside area is exceptional. The pool, outsede lighting, and blue tooth speakers were wonderful. And the view!!!! The location of the house is perfect, near town, yet very private. You will need a car, and we rented Elvis's for the week. Elvis was so helpful and kind. His boat was in the shop, so we didn't get to experience his, we rented one from Brown's for one day. This is an older house, but was spotlessly clean and roomy. The furniture is older and sparse, but the beds were comfy. Appliances and gas grill also older. Pick up a bag of ice on your way in! New windows and outer doors have unpainted frames. The ocean comes up to the road just below the house, and turtles feed there every evening! The nearby beachy area has a grassy ocean floor and lots of upside down jelly fish. It's interesting, but you'll want to drive to the beautiful beaches Exuma is known for. The Yowl House side yard is beautiful with flowers and coconut trees.

Best trip ever

This was our 4th visit to Exuma and our first time staying at this property. We couldn’t of asked for a better experience! The house was absolutely perfect. The location to the water and the privacy of the property was exactly what we were looking for. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. One of the biggest highlights of our trip was Elvis, the caretaker. All I can say to him is thank you for taking such good care of us! We chose to rent his boat the entire time we were there and enjoyed our days on the water. The most memorable part of our trip was definitely all the incredible friends and now family we’ve made along the way. Shared meals and late night festivities will never be forgotten. Memories and lifelong friendships will be cherished always! Thank you Angelique and Stephane for opening up your home to us. We can’t wait to return.

This is a lovely property about a mile south of George Town, with the beach right across the street.

We enjoyed the week we spent at Angelique and Stephane's house in Exuma. They have a lovely beach house of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with sleeping room for at least 7. The house is clean and well-maintained, although the kitchen could use some updating. Central AC works great, and there is a new deck around 2 sides of the house, and a path with a hammock around a third side. The house is very quiet and peaceful. February Point is a luxury resort across the street with a great restaurant, and also nice grounds for running. Downtown Georgetown is about 1 mile away, with two supermarkets, a bank, some restaurants, small stores and the straw market. It is definitely walkable, although if you have older people in your party, or small children, a car would be advisable. The caretaker, Elvis, is very friendly and available, and is able to give lots of good ideas about activities, and can also arrange to have one of the locals take you out on a boat for snorkeling, and to see many of the nearby attractions. Coastline Adventures is a must for a one day, to visit Thunderball Grotto, swim with the nurse sharks, feed the rock iguanas and enjoy the beauty of the sand bar. The views from the house are wonderful, and one can enjoy walking and running along the road, again enjoying the views.

Nice House, Great Boat, Easy Life

We spent a very nice two weeks in the Bahamas at this property. The location is lovely, right on the coast and close to Georgetown. A car is necessary to get about and allows access to the deserted beaches up and down the coast. The car at the house is getting old and needs some work. The boat was a great option and allows access to empty beaches and isolated islands although some basic boating knowledge would help to get the most out of the experience. Fishing and snorkelling from the boat was great fun. Life on the islands is very laid back, as others have pointed out, so you need to quickly get into the local lifestyle to get the most out of the Bahamas. It was very hot when we were but hardly rained at all. The breeze that usually blows off the sea is very welcome. The A/C in the property was great, and essential, unfortunately for us there were a couple of power outages in the neighbourhood so things got a bit hot……but that’s Bahamas life. Enjoy. Steve and Jo.

Awesome island retreat

Angelique was a great host and attentive to our needs! 5 stars there! The property itself has a great view and is in an excellent location close to everything. Very relaxing to sit in the mornings and evenings on the beautiful porch overlooking the water. Highly recommended. This is a very laid back island which also means that you shouldn't expect an "american version" of five star service from all the locals, but they were the friendliest people you will meet in the entire world. Seriously. Just understand they operate on "island time" so don't get too stressed out when things don't happen quickly or hiccups occur. We personally liked the laid back atmosphere as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, but I could see how someone would get a bit stressed about the slow pace so please keep that thought in mind. Also, boat & car were older and never let us down, but don't expect brand new and you will have a good trip. Overall 5 star trip! Would stay again. Thanks!

The house was, unfortunately, very "tired". It's old and quite dilapidated, but at least clean. No washing machine, limited cook ware. The photos make it look as if it's right on the water but in fact there is the island's main road running between the property and the shore. There is no beach nearby. We were told a car wasn't necessary but you soon get tired of the 20 minute walk into town, especially when returning from a restaurant in the pitch dark. I would not go back or recommend this property.

The pictures of the house were taken in the beginning of this year (2015) they are very accurate and were not photoshoped ... There was and still is a brand new (2014) wash machine in one of the bathrooms...I guess he just didn't see it....or did not ask the house care taker to show him. The kitchen is equipped with new appliances bought in 2015 : refrigerator, stove/baker. There is also a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine, a blender, a mixer, a hand blender. Complete dishes set for 10, silverware, utensils, several pots and pans and all you need to bake cake and cookies if you wish... The first picture of our property and all the others clearly show the street between our property and the water. If you properly look on the map, you also see the street at the end of our property. There is a small beach across the street in front of our property. The exact distance between our house and the village (grocery store, liquor store, restaurant) is 1KM (0.6 Miles). Up to you for the walking time ...

Clean and comfortable

This home was quite comfortable for the 7 of us while celebrating my 60th birthday. The large patio gave us front row seats for the full moon and lunar eclipse. It is conveniently located, and with a car in the driveway, when needed. Having the boat gave us access to all the beautiful snorkeling sites and deserted beaches of Elizabeth Harbor. And, everyone should be so lucky to have their own Elvis, who was invaluable! I would highly recommend this property!

We had a fantastic time! House was perfect and clean. Everyone was so nice and so much to do. Elvis can help you with anything and give you names to do anything you want. Boat was great and rental car too. Swimming with the pigs, Tropic of Cancer, Chat and Chill, February Point, Big D's restaurant, diving, fishing and all the great restaurants are musts. The view from the house and breeze could not have made it any better. We will be back!!!

Ilenia came to our house from August 14-23, 2024, she sent us her review on October 8 without any comments...? Difficult to know what is behind this 3 stars review. She told our caretaker when she left that all was good and well...the only issue she had was not understanding how the AC works...she decided to call our caretaker at 1H00AM complaining she was cold and not knowing how to use the thermostat. We truly believe we do not deserve this 3 stars review....
