My husband and I's 2nd stay here, same as the first time, clean, air conditioning was exactly what we needed very cold, Mrs. Bruce was very accommodating, answered all of my questions when I called her to let her know that we were returning customers. We'll continue to book with her, great, quite getaway. I've already recommended this property to my daughters so they can experience what I did. Thank you again Mrs. Bruce, your place is exactly what we need from time to time!!!

Great for couples

Wife and I enjoyed a nice quiet relaxing break for our anniversary at the couples shack. Wife loved the huge bath tub in our house. Next time we’ll try out one of the other houses on the property.

I have a service dog and ordered the love shack… this woman refused me the love shack and said she had a cottage for “pets” she’s NOT a pet and she’s NOT an ESA… she also asked what my disability was that I needed the “pet”… I was forced to disclose my disability to a STRANGER… what she did is TOTALLY illegal and against the ADA laws AND she’s in violation of Texas Human Resources code 121.002… good luck staying open when you discriminate against the disabled and their service animals…

My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing retreat at The Love Shack while we celebrated our 22 year anniversary. The shack was exactly as described, perfect for the 2 of us to retreat in nature. Everything was clean and organized in and around the shack. There were even some additional nice-to-haves when we arrived (like a wine opener and wine glasses, a bottle holder for next to the bathtub, etc). The bathroom mat was fuzzy and so nice on our barefeet. The lawn maintenance was top notch! Flowers were in bloom and provided privacy while we relaxed on the back porch, which is fully screened. The grass was lush and beautiful. We saw deer outside the fence, and lots of Cardinals in the surrounding trees. The towering pines were awesome.We used the hot tub, which was in great working condition and very relaxing after long days hiking in the nearby National Forests.

Everything was very nice and clean at the cabin! A/C is nice and cold! Little coffee pot and mini fridge is nice. Was nice to relax on the back deck in the hot tub, listening to nature at night. Saw some deer. Only thing that was a little awkward. There's a tub but no shower. The tub has a shower wand, but kind of difficult to use standing up, because it's not long enough. Then you don't want to splash out to much water, lol! Other than that, it was all around great! Loved all the different foliage and flowers. The gardenias smelled amazing!

Relaxing getaway

This is such a relaxing place to go if you love nature. A big pool that is not crowded. Our cabin had a screened in hot tub on the back porch. A huge bathtub for bubble baths. Take some flameless battery operated candles for extra intimate touch. Wish we had more time there to explore some of the trails and try the restraunt.
