Perfect place to get away!

A little description

This is a 2 bed 1.5 bath 3rd floor unit. It is located in building A close to the pool and beach access. Linens aren’t included but you are forced to pay for them in the busy months. It’s about 400 steps to the water’s edge. Plenty of little seafood restaurants nearby. There was a roll of paper towels, hand soap at each sink and a roll of toilet paper for each toilet included.

Great location but some serious flaws

We stayed in the condo for a week in August 2021. The property is very small, with not a lot of space for your beach/pool stuff, no pantry for food. The living room furniture needs to be replaced, I’m not sure what they are waiting for. The couch has seen better days. The property does have a washer dryer inside which was nice. The beds are way too soft and not comfortable, we slept poorly all week. The pillows in the master bedroom were the size of toddler pillows, I am not even joking. It was ludicrous. They need to replace the pillows ASAP. However, the condo “management” is awful. The property is on the top floor so one night we left my daughter’s life vest out on the balcony in front of our door to dry out. It was in no way in any one’s way. We came home from a birthday dinner to a nasty note on our door telling us to remove all property from the shared space. We also witnessed employees taking items left by the pool overnight and throwing them over into the dunes. Not really nice… As far as cleanliness, when we checked in, the bathroom floor was dirty with hair all over it from the previous people. All that being said, the location is perfect, just steps to the beach and pool. Beach view from the balcony. That’s the only reason I am giving any stars. Otherwise I would definitely stay in a different condo/area next time.

Fantastic location; beautiful beach

This was our first time in Atlantic Beach, and we had a fantastic time overall. The ocean views from the living room and balcony were gorgeous. The proximity to the beach was great, and it was close enough that the kids didn’t mind walking the steps to/from the third floor (warning - there are no elevators). The boys surf fished and built sandcastles almost every day, went to the pier a couple times, and we also did jet skiing and a private boat tour, which were located nearby. However cleanliness of the unit was an issue - there was a large, dead cockroach in the middle of floor when we arrived and then an even larger, live one on the third day. When I spoke with the rental company they said palmetto bugs are common there and they couldn’t do anything because they’d already sprayed earlier in the month. The kids got a kick out of me trying to kill it, which took about 15-20 minutes, so at least they got some free entertainment out of it. When I wiped the floor areas where the bug had been, it looked like the unit could have used a good mopping. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, having a half bath in one of the bedrooms was convenient, and the neighbors and locals were all very nice. I’m not sure we would stay here again, but we’ll definitely visit Atlantic Beach again next year.

Fantastic neighborhood

The complex was clean and neat. The tenants/guests were very friendly. The complex gave a very welcoming feeling. The location to the beach was great as was the view. I would recommend this rental.

lovely unit, great location!

We loved this unit. Great views, easy water access. But it definitely needs updating of furniture, and attention to deep cleaning. The location is incredibly convenient and everything you need for a pleasant stay is available in the unit save for a decent can opener!

Great get away

The first people we can across was with C&G . Their location was as soon as you cross the bridge which was very convenient. The actual condo was the second to last location on the island only thing past us was one other condo location and a huge state park. Ft Macon. The condo was recently redone and everything was clean and very nice. Although the beds were newer I’d have to agree they were not overly comfortable but that’s a hard gripe considering the view and the location. We overlooked the pool and could easily see the Atlantic Ocean and the sound to the bay on the other direction. There were over 30 steps so I wouldn’t recommend for an older couple or anyone with leg issues. The whole complex was very friendly and a lot of owners were there for the week also and they were great to have around pointing us to the “local” spots to eat and shop. A lot of the people there said they have been going there for years and their families have had a place there since before they were kids . Seemed as tho most of the owners have been there for generations and loved to see kids enjoying themselves.Easy walk to the beach less than 2 minutes from door to the sand. If you don’t want to pay high prices we encourage the short trip to Morehead city for groceries. Plenty of fishing charters within a 10 minute drive. We stayed the third week of June and the water was very clear. You could see your feet in 5ft of water which is great for the Atlantic coast.also there are community grills that are charcoal so if you plan to grill bring charcoal . We plan to book this place again next year. Glad we were able to make a memory in Atlantic beach.

Amazing Family Get Away

The Condo itself was so comfortable and well put together. I am so thankful that the home owners allowed us to share their personal space. My mom got to relax, my brother and his children got to experience a true beach vacation as they are from New England. I can say enough about Canon and Gruber as well. There professionalism should be commended. I will always choose them first to assist with a booking in the future. If you want a perfect experience everyone should choose Canon and Gruber and take a chance on this property. It was simply perfect. Thanks Again

Decent Condo rental / needs some upgrades
