Perfect spot for my r and r. Well equipped kitchen for my needs. Cozy living space. Appreciated the dish washer and having access to washer/dryer. I would go back.

Very clean and welcoming cottage. Host was very quick to respond to any questions or inquiries. Very cosy and had all the things we needed in a cottage. A microwave may help in the future. Great spot. We would visit again.

Location was great for walking. Weather wasn’t great so didn’t experience the beaches. However, we did enjoy our 2 chairs at the little beach to read and/or watch the sunsets. Cottage was comfortable.

Fantastic

The house was very clean and welcoming. Despite no AC it was very comfortable and serene. Had no issues with anything during our stay. Appreciated all of the appliances provided. Definitely would stay here again!

Great property for a small group of people - cottage is clean, well maintained and comfortable, despite no A/C during a heat wave, but we knew that going in! We had a lovely time. We wish the access to the fire pit was a little more accessible - it was in a more wooded area. We didn’t have any real issues and the host was responsive to our questions before and during our stay! Would stay again!

The listing wasn't exactly what we expected when we arrived. From the photos it seemed we would be closer to the lake. The cottage has real potential but needs some TLC, mainly outside.When we arrived a few minutes before 3pm the host advised us it wasn't quite ready. No big deal but we ended up having to dry the bed sheets in the small dryer and then make our bed. Not a big deal, but seeing the mattress pad all ripped in the top corner and very old looking with some soiled areas...not so inviting.Also, there are No Beach chairs or Beach towels as listed and no real beach near by to walk to as we assumed when it listed Beach chairs and towels included in the rental.Also the propane bar b que had 4 burners bit only 2 reflectors so limited to use of one side only. Also grills were very dirty and no brush was available for cleaning it.We were looking forward to using the fireplace but it was located over a bridge amongst and close to trees. With It being so dry this summer, we did not feel it in our best interest to use as there was not a hose that reached to put it out, only a garden watering can. Also there was large pile of old boards with nails in them right next to the fireplace which is dangerous as it is dark in the trees. Also a large pile of old things like deck chairs, plastic tarps, ladders and an old toilet piled up right outside our bedroom windows.Regardless of the disappointments encountered, we did enjoy the paved walking and biking trails down the road

Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your July stay. I’m sorry your arrival wasn’t smooth and that the cottage didn’t meet all your expectations. I’ve made the improvements I felt were necessary. For future guests: we do note in the listing that the shoreline with a walking path and lookout is a 5 minute walk from the front door, and that there is a small private beach about 10 minutes beyond that. I’m always happy to point guests to it, as it’s easy to miss with no signage. I appreciate you pointing out areas to improve — we’re always working to make the cottage better for guests.

A few small touches could make it even better:•Adding a few more wall hooks would be helpful, especially since the space is cozy and guests naturally want to hang jackets, towels, and bags.•Expanding the kitchen tool selection (e.g., a mandoline or other utility items) would make cooking even easier.•Labels in the kitchen could help guests quickly find what they need.Overall, we had a great time, and these small additions would make an already lovely place even more convenient and comfortable.

Stayed with 4 people (2 adults, 15&13 year olds) it was cozy but we had a great weather week and were outside sitting on the porch and in the water so it was perfect

Great Place to Getaway!

It is a nice place in a quiet cottage community. Beautiful area, easy access to walking trails right at back of property. There is a communal deck at the front entrance if you want to enjoy the view of the sunset over the bay. Also 2 chairs down on the beach that we used. Really enjoyed paddling around the bay in the kayaks that the owner made available for our use. We did have to carry the kayaks down to the water and across the road (about 100 metres) but road is not busy & speed limit is low so not an issue. Fire pit area out back and firewood was supplied. Small private deck with chairs for us to sit on where we enjoyed several meals. 5 minutes from grocery store and 10 minutes from Walmart, LCBO, restaurants, etc. Bed was comfortable, cottage nicely renovated. We would stay again and recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors!
