It was nice

Property is very spacious. The owner was there to greet us. We were a few minutes early to check in, but he was welcoming. Invited us to use veggies from the garden. The house had plenty of space for our group. The kitchen was nice and big. The faucet at the sink was very loose, but worked fine. Great front porch! The deck in the back seemed unstable with boards that were either damaged or needed more support. The pool and deck around it were nice. There is a great fire pit area. We didn’t use it, but it’s an added perk. Overall, we were pleased!

Amazing Cabin

Very friendly owners, they absolutely made our vacation a breeze. The house was beautiful, very clean, and had amazing views.

Amazing cabin in the country, but near larger towns for convenience. We book a cabin in a different location every year for vacation and we would definitely book with these hosts again! The pool is will maintained and checked daily. The hosts live on the property and are super helpful and responsive. It is well stocked with necessities. Plenty of space, peace, of you don't have 4 kids running around yelling.... Lol. But yes, definitely worth it, I would give 10 stars if I could.

Great space for family time - Very Pet Friendly!

Lots to do in the house itself with very unique and natural design elements including board games, tv with main streaming services. Also great outdoors area to spend some time under the stars by the fire pit. Only downside was that it was clearly a very pet friendly home so if you're not used to that it will take getting used to the pet smell. Excellent hosts as well!

Family time!

Mel and Mike were great host. Close to floating and lots to explore. The pool was a plus! We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing cabin

From driving up to the amazing cabin to driving away we had an amazing time. The cabin is beyond beautiful and so clean. The pool is absolutely awesome, i mean you can't beat your own private pool on vaca. Our dog was extremely happy the whole time and so relaxed. She's usually always on guard bc we live in a major city, so she was just at ease. The hosts are so friendly and really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Yeah they live on the property but they are not all up in your business. They are however always available for questions via text or for a chat if you see them outside. They have a bunch of cute dogs and puppies so you may find your next family member. They have wifi and a smart tv with all the streaming services. So plenty of movies to watch at night with the fam. Even have a garden you can get veges from. Oh and fenced in yards if your dog is the kind to run off if left unattended. Heck we didn't lock the doors one time while we was there, even when we left. It's that safe. You can't go wrong with this place, so stop looking and just book it you won't be disappointed.

Major camper

My family and me rent cabin 2 or 3 times a year. Going from one place to another all round the same area. My family and friends have found a new permanent vacation spot. Mike and Mel was so awesome. They really went above and beyond. We are already figuring out when we will have time to go again. So if you guys see this. We will be in touch.

The cabin is beautiful and spacious, yet cozy. The property is in a quiet area. The hosts are amazing. They are full service, and do everything to make you feel welcome, and make sure you're taken care of during your stay.

Worlds best hosts.

The house was really clean and spacious The property had plenty of room for nine children to run and play and the location was perfect for going to Meramac Caverns, the Arch, zoo, and museums. I can't say enough good about the hosts. Wonderful!

Family getaway

Mel and Mike are great! Our trip had changed from a romantic weekend getaway to a family getaway pretty fast but the hosts were very understanding when I asked and very welcoming to any family who may have joined. When we arrived we were so excited to see how beautiful the property was. Our boys and pup had so much fun playing outside. We were excited when their pups got to come play as well. The hosts are close by and very helpful and patient, as my boys would talk their ears off if they had seen them outside. They cooked and ate dinner with us one night and it felt like more family was at the table with us. They offer their help with cooking, cleaning, pupsitting, and much more to try and take away any stress during the stay! Overall we loved this stay and extended it twice. Honestly didn't want to leave. We can't wait to come back when the gardens are ready and the pools open! Highly recommended!!

Family Time

We enjoyed spending time with family. We appreciated the large sectional that everyone could watch a movie together on, and the large dining room table that we gathered around numerous times to play games. We also appreciate that we could bring our dogs with us because they are a big part of our family. Mel did a great job communicating with us! We also enjoyed meeting some of Mel and Mike's dogs!

We had the BEST time!

The cabin is spcious and tidy. The kitchen is well-stocked. Comfy beds. Extremely kind and helpful hosts who stay on the property. I was happy to have them there. They provided firewood and let my large group of teenagers hold their adorable puppies. The land is big and inviting. Great star gazing! We would love to come back when the pool is open!

Pure Country!

If you are looking for a "Country Setting" this is the place for you. Wide open space outside and a very country look and feel inside. Kitchen stocked with all kinds of do-it-yourself meal preparation, including some real nice Pampered Chef pieces, such as an air fryer and toaster oven. Plenty of towels and linens for a big group and nice beds and bedding. All kinds of outdoor seating for enjoyment and relaxation. Mel and Mike were very friendly and great host!!! Bear in mind tho...this is country. Can't reach it without driving quite some distance (at least a mile) on dirt road.

Great Hospitality

We had an amazing family get-together / weekend getaway at this peaceful cabin. Melinda and Mike went out of their way to be wonderful hosts. They personally guided us to a great spot nearby to enjoy the Fall beauty of the river. They also prepared an outdoor fire for us (there’s a really nice built in fire pit area). We loved the front porch (complete with a porch swing). We did some grilling and had a clear night for star-gazing. They are pet friendly and it was a bonus highlight of the weekend to get to meet their super-sweet and beautiful dogs! The house has a great setup for get-togethers and was comfortable, clean, and spacious, with decor that complemented the space and added to the feeling of getting away. The property is beautiful and quiet. We prepared our meals ahead of time, but I thought it was very cool (and unique) that Melinda is willing to cook for guests if that is of interest. (Like a B&B, only better, because you have the whole house to yourself)! Quality time was enjoyed by all and we are already talking about coming back. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful country getaway and great hosts who are willing to customize hospitality to fit the goals of your getaway.

Getting to host families like yours is truly a blessing and we couldn’t be happier that you all had such a great time!! We love being able to share the beauty of our area and get folks to areas they wouldn’t normally come upon. The swing and patio/fire pit is very special and close to my heart so I am especially happy you enjoyed it! The swing was a gift to me many years ago and it had recently seemed to be down for the count, but Mike had it restored for me😁. Experiences like yours is exactly what we envisioned when we decided to take this direction so it’s great to know that folks get to enjoy and appreciate the property the way we do.
