Large and comfortable 5 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with a plunge-pool, and fully-fenced back yard.
Only a stones throw from town centre and the shores of Lake Taupo.
Bedding configuration is - 1x Queen, 1x Queen, 1x Queen, 1x Single set of bunks and 1x Single bed, 1x Single set of bunks and 1x Single bed. Bunks are best suited to children only.
The large, practical kitchen is positioned for easy entertaining with bi-fold windows that open onto the outdoor patio area.
This home has all the comforts you need, including WiFi, SKY TV, Coffee machine, Heating, Aircon, BBQ, Outdoor furniture and of course, the plunge-pool.
Only 2 minutes drive from Taupo Town Centre, and walking distance to the lake-front for those morning strolls.
No added costs - we provide all bedding and towels, plus exit clean.
STRICTLY no parties, events or loud groups. Neighbours are very close and must be respected at all times during your stay.

Fabulous view and location

The property met all our needs, was beautiful and well maintained and with gorgeous views. Quiet and well located. We couldn't have had a better choice for our family vacation.

My overall impression of the house was that it was very clean, organised, ready to use and comfortable. There were no issues and everything ran smoothly, this included; booking, check in process etc. the location was stunning even though it was wet weather the view was amazing.

Second Time's a Charm

Our group absolutely loves this property. This is our second time and intend to rebook each year for our annual catch-up. Could not recommend this more highly for a larger group or family.

Family get away

We were 3 families ( 9 people in total) in Taupo to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Lovely large home with great outdoor area. The bedroom set up was perfect for us. The house was well set up with ample towels pillows etc. perhaps more plates( only 6 large ones - for 9 people. Also only 5 chairs around the lovely large dining room table . Great location and way access to everything. In general an awesome place for a family getaway.

Easter treat

The view from the house is glorious- the house was fabulous- there were 11 of us and there was plenty of space. The circular drive was very useful and accommodated 3 cars and a small boat. I was caught out by the advertised price which was in US dollars on Vrbo when I thought it was NZ dollars made it more expensive- but we had a lovely time in a great house.

Taupo House

This house would’ve been an absolute Gem to stay in if it weren’t for the bug infestation of trout flies. We messaged the Property manager after our stay and apparently this is very normal so I would not recommend this place during summer at all unless you don’t mind having your ceiling filled with bugs and/or using insect spray to try rid of them only to end up having the dead bugs land all over the tables, floors and furniture :)

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased that you enjoyed the house. During the summer in Taupo we can get a lot of trout-flies. They are attracted to light., and they don't bite. We have noted in the information booklet at the house that guests can help to keep them from coming inside by making use of the air-conditioning units at the property rather than having the windows and doors open in the evenings. We do also provide bug spray in case you forget to close up before it starts getting dark.

Good location with great views

This property has a good location in central Taupo with great views. The property is well set up for a large group. We did feel the property is in need of some maintenance in a few areas esp when you consider the rental cost.

Blissful- quality place to stay

SOOOOOO happy to have found this property. The pictures don't do it justice. What a view!. Perfect location, within easy walking distance to downtown for restaurants, shops and pubs. Within two minute walk (across the street) to the Lake boardwalk. We stayed here during an Ironman event and it was perfect. We were very sad to leave. And, please know that the soaking tub is really the size of a small hottub indoors off of the patio and fills with water from hot springs (I think). wonderful way to end the evening. Gardens around the home are also beautiful, with a nice private patio to sit out on every night. We will definitely rent again.
